So I decided to take this Thursday and Friday off for my birthday since it's freezing cold this week and my boyfriend is more free than between Xmas and New Years. I still have one day left to take and I should be able to take the 3 days off then if my manager actually follows through on giving me 2 extra days off.

Unfortunately, the condo is shutting off the water tomorrow to do some pipe replacements (seems to be taking forever) so I won't have water while I'm getting cozy at home.

I have bottled water and a filled a bucket of water so I can do dishes/wash my hands.

Reminds me of "Hurricane Season" down/ over here. "We" make sure to have plenty of bottled water and fill any containers that we can for sanitary reasons; even try to keep the bathtub fill.

It's always good to be prepared! So I got water back that evening but the hot water never kicked in while I was showering. I was still freezing so I had to crawl into bed after my shower to warm up before going out to dinner.
