grinning "ok." slipping on a mask this one had a wide mouth that attached to his chin and moved as he talked he walked up infront of the fire pulling out his lute he bgan to sing

Hear the sage as his song descends
like heaven's rain or tears
and wash the year, the dust of many stories
from the High Tale of the Demonbane.
For in ages deep, past memory and world,
in the first blush of the world
when the three moons rose from the lap of the forest,
demons, terrible and great,
made war on this world of Earth

yet out of the darkness of demons,
out of our cries for light
in the blank face of the black moon soaring,

followed his light to the foot of Everest,
to the stone feet of the gods,
to the crouched silence of their temple.
He called down the Blademakers, he took on
their unspeakable power to crush the unspeakable evil,
to push back the coiling darkness
down the tunnel of the dragons throat

strengthening the blade of his strong right arm,
and huma, ablaze in a thoughsand moons,
banished the Queen of Darkness,
banished the swarm of shrieking hosts
back to the senseless kingdom of death, where their curses
swooped upon nothing and nothing
deep below the brightening land.

she looks around the room, finishing her drink, she orders another and sips it as well, she smiles looking back at him

Thuse ended the Age of Dreams
and began the Age of Might.
When Istar, kingdom of light and truth, arose in the east,
where minarets of white and gold
spired to the sun and to the suns glory,
announceing the passing of evil,
and Istar, who mothered and cradled
the long summers of good,
shone like a meteor
in the white skies

she smiles getting slightly drunk, she finishes her other drink and was going to get another before she rubbed her eyes

now orys mask changed to a frown but he continued to singeven as his mask changed

Yet in the fullness of sunlight
the Kingpreast of Istar saw shadows:
At night he saw the trees as things with daggers,
and streams
blackened and thickened under the silent moon.
He searched books for the paths of Huma,
for scrolls, signs, and spells
so that he, too, might summon the gods, might find
their aid in his holy aims,
might purge the world of sin.

she looks at him "i like the songs, very good" she smiles

Then came the time of dark and death
as the gods turned from the world.
Amountain of fire crashed like a comet through Istar,
the city split like a skull in flames,
mountains burst from once-fertile valleys,
seas poured into the graves of mountains,
the deserts sighed on abandoned floors or seas,
and the highways of Earth erupted
and became the paths of the dead.

Thus began the Age of Despair.
The roads were tangled.
The winds and sandstorms dwelt in husks of cities.
The plains and mountains became our home.
As the old gods lost their power,
we called to the blank sky
into the cold, dividing gray to the ears of the gods.
The sky is calm, silent, unmoveing.
We have yet to hear their answer.

but as we wait the demons come,
we sit here lissening
praying for a reply,
now we shall stand as Huma did
and push back the tide.
