OberFeldwebel Fresnel Is it a new ******** fad to pretend to be military? I should do it. I've got enough secondhand knowledge to pass off as a jarhead... Yeah wtf. And where does he get off on saying about needing to clean after 150 shots? I must have put like, 2,000 rounds through my .22 before I cleaned it beyond wipes through the barrel. The only reason it jams now is because the magazines are worn out. I used to put that much through my gun in TWO DAYS, and I would go for a couple months before cleaning it. That's the notoriously dirty AR, too. Damn thing never had a mechanical jam.

Stoic Socialist Freak_090 She is most likely a first time shooter, AND has no hearing protection, AND is fireing an AR. Maybe she has earplugs?
If it's a 10.5" AR there, the owner would be responsible enough to give his own mum some hearing protection, .223 is probably pretty loud coming out of something that loud.
But srsly, what does an AR have anything to do with it? They're probably one of the least recoiling firearms I know of.Be an example to your men, in your duty and in private life. Never spare yourself, and let the troops see that you don't in your endurance of fatigue and privation.
I don't know. Maybe the noise scares her?
Always be tactful and well-mannered and teach your subordinates to do the same. Avoid excessive sharpness or harshness of voice, which usually indicates the man who has shortcomings of his own to hide.

One of my online friends wanted me to meet one of her online friends that claimed to be in the military. He claimed his job was just to drive a forklift in a warehouse in Iraq. I thought that to be plausible, but when I asked him what his side arm was he said his only armament was an M16A2 since the military "did not issue side arms to non officers".

Yeah I put it in a thread months ago. I talked to him a second time about a month and a half ago. I told him the standard sidearm was a beretta and that all soldiers are issued one. He stuck to the "only officers have a sidearm" statement and then stopped replying.

.. and that is probably false since what? The 1950s?
