“The city of Sizzir has something to celebrate once more as Lunar Angel steps forward to except a large responsibility. Ever since their appearance almost a decade ago, Sizzir has been a far more safe community. Because of their hard work and dedication to this city we have seen a rise in productivity and net growth. Sure this is no Tilt or Sieth but there is something more welcoming about Lunar Angels that speaks to us all. Please show your support this weekend as the city appoints the executive Miss Terra Hearts and her Lunar Angels as the soul care taker of this city.” A fine telth woman announced from behind a desk. She brought her tentacles together to clap along with an adio audience. The screen flashes from the woman to a group of telth who began to dispute what this meant for other companies. Some thought great things would come from this. None of them would have to worry about paying their own military and saw the gain in such a deal with the Lunar Angels. The not so happy companies focused on the fall of capitalism and noted that a military run by one company could do great things but it could also do terrible things. They would be at the mercy of the Lunar Angels. A few more boring details were shared just before the massive rocky cor lost interest.
“Gab, bring me the Lunar Angel representative again. I want to hear what they have to say about this new advancement their company has made.” Tauk said exhaustedly. He rubbed at the bands forming around his eyes as the other set of arms removed the pile of forms from his desk. He leaned back in his massive chair to relax for a brief moment.
“As you asked for sir.” Gab announced as he returned. “I present Simon the Lunar Angel representative.” A small telth with large focal glasses followed him in and immediately took a seat. The small telth wrapped all of his tentacles into a comfortable position and then smiled as he faced the massive shape of a healthy cor. Tauk let a chuckle slip from his gapping mouth. He loved to measure himself against others. A lot of the time that was how he weighed whether or not to make a deal with someone or not.
“So, Lunar Angel, tell me again you proposition once more.” Tauk got right to business. He was noticeably tiered and did not want to mess around. The most important thing on his mind was still finding those documents.
“Well sir, as you can see the Lunar Angles has a pretty good grasp on Sizzir. With our constant demonstration of control it should be clear your company’s presence is not needed. You may think to yourself, this is not good news, I may be out some money. That is not the case. You see, Lunar Angels is willing to supply you with a monthly penance to make up for any such loss in business. What that means for you is you get paid and do not have to worry about any missions anywhere near the Sizzir territory. This of course requires that you agreed to no longer patrol the area and leave all tasks for us to complete internally.” Simon spoke expertly.
“haa yeah, and how are you ever going to get enough money in one city’s worth of missions to pay us and feed yourselves.” Tauk was amused and impressed all at the same time. He laughed enough to lift himself out of the chair and over to a table of figures representing his current companies positions.
“Our accountants have already predicted substantial profits for both our companies. The trick is requiring a tax from all the dwellers in the city for the protection we provide whether or not there is even something to protect them from.”
“Bunch of scam artists, that might just work.”
“It has worked before. The humans lived in a way that required such a living for thousands of years. It is no scam, rather a very fair trade off that may or may not work in our favor from time to time.” Simon responded quick and with a smile. He was eager to sign the contract. “This cannot work if we have other companies demonstrating a competition near our area. Call it what you want Tauk but we both know you’re the wise one here. How about some free money for you and your operations here?”
“Why does this always come down to you guys trying to keep me out of your precious city?”
“Sizzir offers a special type of community that is driven by many internal orders. It has brought us much profit and growth. The city itself may double in size by this time in 5 years. You continue to do business with us and you will ride our success as much as we will.” Simon was working the cor with all he had. There was a pen at the ready in one tentacle and the contract in another.
“What can I say, you are one convincing mother ********!” Tauk started with another chuckle. He didn’t expect such a ferocious pitch man. “Hold up,” Tauk used all four hands to settle the room as if waving his hands would freeze everything. He motioned towards the screen that had been playing this whole time. The news show on Sizzir was repeated the arrests at the gang break up. He pointed to the tleth in the middle with the cyborg being rushed into the mech. “Oh yeah it is a good day.” His laughter became a bit more manic. “s**t, you bring me those ******** and you will never see another cor from me ever.” Tauk continued laughing.
“Oh those, the gang convicts have yet to be identified. They will be released later this week to our maximum security on one of the neighboring moons. Why, are they valuable?” The telth asked, seeing another opportunity to make some money.
“Hell yes they are. Your scammy deal is good as any if you get me those convicts!”
“I would have to say that is a deal. Please sign here and all shall be done in a timely manner.” The telth said being none the wiser. He had no idea the worth of you and your crew to Tauk. The papers were signed and Simon was on his way, proud and a mission completed.
“HAhahamuhaha… Gab make sure our friend makes it out safely. When you get back, prepare a cosy place for our ‘convicts’ when they return.”

“Good morning sir.” A pretty desk worker said from behind her mantle. She waved to the man as he passed by. He flashed her noting more than a thin smile as he passed her by. His fake smile drained hers. She sulked back to the massive computer desk and continued to scribble on what she called a job.
The man continued forward down the narrow hallway before him. He came to a stop at a large vault like chamber door guarded by two armed men. The three turned towards the door together and placed their fingers on a sensor.
“Welcome Dowser Mariati.” An automated voice spoke clearly as the vault door opened. Another guard was just on the other side of the door ready and waiting for it to open. Dowser and one of the guards outside entered in. The vault door shut behind them and they were carried off by an elevator deeper into the maximum security head quarters of the United Arms Company.
“How’s the day going boss!” One of the guards worked up the guts to speak. He came off a bit too enthusiastic. Both Dowser and the other guard looked at him funny.
“It is my son’s birthday today and I am here, working.”
“Oh…that is a shame sir.”
“Some would say so, but if I was not here then who would get the job done. If you care enough about something boy you get it done yourself.” Dowser said sternly with a nod. There was no way in hell work was where he wanted to be right now. He justified being there because he viewed his work important enough that it would change his son’s future. In the end what better gift could he give?
A few moments passed before the elevator finally stopped dropping. Once the massive room came to a stop the three entered in another finger print and the vault door opened back up. Dowser switched places with another guard and continued down a small hall that opened into the command room.
“Commander on deck!” A soldier announced to the command room as he came to a stance of respect. The soldier pulled a tight fist to the center of his chest and then pushed it outward in sync with Dowser’s movements. Everyone followed the same motions. The room came to life with Dowser’s appearance. Those who were only sitting in large reclined chairs were now scrambling about four or more computers at one to catch their systems up. Dowser called for a systems and units check and then attendance. It was standard procedure and he hated it. Once he completed the procedures promptly the room relaxed and people went about their jobs at their own pace. A small group of advisors were the first to approach Dowser, each with their own set of tasks, approval sheets, and updates. One in particular caught Dowser’s eye first and for more than one reason.
“Sir, I think you are going to want to see this. It was a news broadcast we picked up just last night from a remote Telth planet.” The voice of a slim agent dressed in tighter battle ready gear then necessary lifted above all of the others. Everyone by now had heard of the all important telth that she had been tracking for Dowser and even their interest peaked.
“What do you have for me Jasmine?” Dowser was quick to respond. He pointed her out of everyone and the ocean of face split so that she could move forward. She strutted toward Dowser and handed over the file. Dowser inserted it in the commanding computer and everyone turned.
“Reading file,” A feminine automated voice updated the status of their mission. “Sir, this file contains many classified documentation and data. My scanners indicate there are multiple unqualified individuals present. Would you like me to proceed?”
“Yes Shela, please continue.” Dowser’s voice rang through the room. There were a few beeps that followed in response and then a projection appeared.
“Sitting with us here now is Lunar Angles executive Terra Hearts. We are so excited to hear about your biggest catch. Terra what do you have to say.”
“Well Stella like I have been saying, and now proven to you once more, the Lunar Angels are here to protect this city from any harm that may come to all who dwell in it. I am a local city folk, born and raised, and I value what life we have here. It has been and will always be my life’s work to see this place safe and gang free.” Terra answered, smiling perfectly the whole time.
“You and your Lunar Angels have done a great job so far. Tell us more about your advancements over the city. I see you have recently issued to buy the whole city. Won’t that be like a Mayor or something?”
“Now now Stella, I don’t look at this thing and start labeling it. I try to see what all the good in it is. I am only trying to insure that this city is one that we can all live safely in and call home. If Mayor is a word you all want to use I am down for it. But what does a title even mean these days. In the end we all want the same thing.” Terra said with a wink towards the camera.
As the news cast played Shela pulled up parallel data that labled many of the figures and people that showed up in the clips.
“Shela, rewind to the image of the arrests.” Dowser requested. His brow ran together demonstrating the heaviness of the internal thought he was putting into this.
“As you command Dowser.” Shela rewinded the video as asked. As the image came up each face was circled and notes ran along the side about each one. Tozzar, new hire of UA, intelligence department, priority number 1. Das Berg, senior officer of unit 446, assault department, comprimized. Dowser read over the names carefully. He studied Tozzar’s face. It was the first time he had a look at him since the initial hire.
“Those are our men. I am glad to see they are safe and a little bit closer to home.” Dowser chuckled underneath his swearing. “I am guessing the rest of the bunch is just a bunch of hired guns. Sadly it looks as though the rest of Das Berg’s personal squad isn’t with him.”
“We have confirmation that the rest of them are dead sir.”
“Where is that other bloody telth Tozzar was supposed to keep an eye on?”
“He is unaccounted for.”
“An who is this ugly looking cor getting arrested with them?”
“There are no records of the cor sir. He does not look dangerous.”
“Oh Tozzar, you must love getting yourself into trouble!” Dowser laughed. The rest of the room laughed with him.
“I ran a scan of the database sir. That city, Sizzir, is outside the Tithlitel boarders.” Jasmine said cooly with a devilish smile. “That means we have all the right to send a ship that way without any direct confrontation.”
“Good work Jasmine. Shela what can you tell me about this Terra Hearts and the Lunar Angels. I want a full briefing on everything in my office in 20 minutes. Jasmine, get a battle ship ready to depart and a unit assigned to man it. Make sure we have management’s consent first. Oh and Jasmine, pack your bags once your done. You and I are going in and picking up our precious cargo.” Dowser spoke loudly while continually moving towards his office. If all went his way they would depart within a day. “Shela get my boy on the line.”
“Con link sir?”
“No I want to see his face!”
“Running”
“There’s my boy. Happy birthday son!,” Dowser began. “I have just decided your birthday present. You are coming with me into space. Tell your mother to pack our bags.”
