Kunstig nodded. "Nice to meet you Parisette," he replied politely. "I believe you wish to go this way..." he continued, nodding back in the direction he had seen the blue lioness come from. He turned to lead the way, though by habit fell back into step so that his sister was beside him, much closer than Parisette was.

Because of this, he did see her glance and followed her eyes to the red cub. But shen she didn't say anything, Kunstig didn't utter a word. Maybe he should have, maybe he ought to have tried to collect the cub so that he and his sister too could have the kings gratitude. But they didn't need that, not really. Besides, they had already assisted this young female in rescuing one. No need to detour from their current 'mission' or 'objective'...surely someone else would find the red cub.

"Well," Kamau said with a smile. "We can't let you go hungry. As soon as we're out of the forest I'm sure we can find you something to eat, and if not I can go hunt for something." With Gali in the lead, Etana following closely behind her, Kamau took up the read. He took a moment to stretch his muscles before following behind the pair. When he spotted Etana glancing back to see if he was following he gave him a smile and a nod.

As they walked though the forest they came upon a clearing, and while Gali made sure Etana was staying nice and close so that he would not get lost again, Kamau caught site of something moving off to the side. "Keep going, I'll catch up." He told Gali, not wanting to delay her getting to safety, and then turned towards the direction of the movement. There he spotted an older cub perched atop a rock in the middle of the clearing. Kamau was certain he hadn't been there before as he distinctly remembered crossing this clearing earlier. His eyes also spotted Maua trying to convince him to come down, he gave her a nod and then spoke to the cub. "There is also a meal waiting for you. If you're hungry that is." Cubs didn't always admit to such things as hunger and thirst when around strangers so he decided to be relaxed about it, if he said he was hungry fine, if not that was fine as well.

Pan's ears rose, nose twitching. His tail began to beat joyfully and a whine slipped out of his muzzle. "Miss Ela," he yipped, trotting to the dark lioness' side and nudging her. "Look, Miss Ela. A cub."

Raziela turned, dark eyes scanning the area for the cub, and a small smile spread across her face as she spotted him, sitting on a rock, as if surveying the lot of them as critically as any leader his subjects. He had an attitude, this cub, she could already see it.

She was tempted to approach, to move closer, but something about the way he sat kept her back. He would decide for himself who to come to on his own terms, in his own way; she could see that already. So she pushed through the undergrowth and settled herself at the edge of the clearing with Pan fidgeting anxiously beside her, simply sitting and watching the cub watching her and everyone else around.

While her brother and their new acquaintance may not have noticed more than the cub, Moilik had. A quick one-over pointed out at least three if not more looking to look after the little one. She was certain the red young lion was going to be taken care of. Certainly there were a lot of lions and lionesses out in the woods looking to tend to one of the lost cubs. Whether it was to share love or curry favor with the king was nothing of her concern.

Her concern was her brother. And just as she had noticed the others around the little clearing she too had noticed the way he inched closer to her. He always inched, though he never seemed to notice this. Gently she allowed her shoulder to brush his, her tail snagging his as it flicked casually. All was well, her presence promised. And if all was not well, well, then blood and fang would make it so. For him.

"Do not worry, there are others here to look to him," she murmured to her sibling, though as always it would be his decision she abided by.

No sooner had she convinced Kayode to leave the forrest than he took off after a scent he'd caught in the air. With an inward sigh of exhasperation, Subira took off in a trot after him. It wasn't long until she saw what he'd been chasing. It was an older cub that looked like he'd been through a lot. Her heart wretched at his scrawny belly and his scars. The poor thing needed someone to take him home.

Kayode skidded to a halt next to the male he'd always seen as leader. With a wide grin he said, "C'mon! This lady says she has a place for me, maybe you can come too? She says we can get food! Aren't you hungry? Let's go!"

Subira shook her head slightly and grinned at the little male before adding, "Please come with us, we'll take care of you."

Mot'e had thought she was on her own when she'd set off into the further regions of Campanil Forest, but only after she'd taken notice of an older cub had she noticed all the other adult lions that had also spotted him. One even spoke to him, and this sparked her competitiveness in garnering the boy's trust. However... She didn't really know what to do. She didn't want to scare him off to another lion or lioness. Hmmm. What should she do!?

While she was trying to decide, she sure wished she had caught a hare earlier on to try to entice him over to her. Anyone's trust could be earned with the temptation of a full belly! Her purple eyes narrowed and she sighed loudly as she could think of nothing else to do but stand there, shifting her weight anxiously, and hoping that her thoughts could will him towards her.

Maua continued to wait patiently for the cub's answer, watching him with quiet yes as he sat upon his rock - she also noted that others had seen him and moved in as well and while that certainly made her want to snatch the cub off the rock before they could steal him out from under her - she recalled the way the other cub had gone running to Parisette the last time she'd been a bit more... exuberant

So she remained calm and quiet and kind looking...and ignored those gathering around the rock as best she could in order to keep her attention upon the cub.

Gali paused and glanced back at Kamau and watched him split off from their little group. Had he seen something she had missed? Gali glanced ahead and saw several other lions heading in the same direction. Trees partially blocked her view, but from the way the sun struck the ground it appeared to be a clearing. Another cub most likely. The female looked down at Etana and observed the cub's concerned expression. A calm certainty slid over Gali and she smiled slightly. Even if Kamau did not catch up to them before they left the forest, she would see more of him in the future.

"Kamau will catch up. Come on, Etana. Let's worry about you first." She waited until she was sure the cub was focused on her and continued leading her new charge from the forest.

Maua had nearly decided that he would simply have to make do with the cub Kivuli had found when a flash of brown caught her eye, pausing for a few moments she gave the cub a warm look before sitting down, she could see what she though to be scars on the creatures hide and even if he wasn't purple..he was still a baby and even lesser babies deserved better treatment then that.

Maua might think less of a non-purple cub but she certainly wouldn't abuse one. "It is going to become hot up on that rock before long" She mentioned in a quiet voice "But I can take you to the stream for a drink..."

He had been worried, at first, that none of the lions would be that trust-worthy, but as he looked at the small group's worried expression, he came to understand that the bigger worry would be picking who to go with from the nice, welcoming group. His good eye scanned the area, until coming back to Maua.

Something about her seemed very kind, and a little challenging too. Perhaps he would give her a chance.

Hesitantly, he came from the rock and moved to meet with her, wanting that drink she had mentioned before.

(( That's the last cub! Thank you everyone for making this event fun. XD I was worried trying something different. >>

From this point on, you may RP as normal. Get five posts in if you would like to use this RP for a breeding, or you can make a proper exit post for the RP's wrap up. I will be doing a wrap-up post once I feel I've given enough time for people to finish up their stuff, so no rush!

For those who didn't get anything- fear not! There may be other chances. ^^ ))

Kivuli searched and searched but there was no other sign of any cubs. Perhaps they had all been found. Well he would not give up until he found out for certain. It was a little while later that a passing lion informed him that the last of the cubs had been found. Kivuli could not help but blow a sigh of relief hearing that. Now he needed to check on his family, make sure those that were part of the search made it out of the forest and to check on the cub he had found.

It didn't take him particularly long to find his way out of the forest, and while he would have liked to stay and wait for the others to return, especially Maua, he needed to go and check on Nalani as she was probably awake by now. Once in the nurses den he found the cub, patiently awaiting his return. "Let's go introduce you to the rest of your new family." He said to her and led the way to the den he shared with Maua, wondering if she had found any cubs within the forest.

Enough other lions had shown up to try to convince the male cub to come with them that he had no doubt one would appeal to him. So when the cub finally choose Maua he smiled and then turned to catch up with Gali. She hadn't gotten far and when he was beside her he told her what had slowed him down. "There was another cub, seems to have decided to go with your mother." They continued to walk until finally they broke through the edge of the forest and found themselves in a more familiar part of the pride.

Maua could have crowed as the cub made his way towards her - but she settled for merely giving all those gathered an imperious look over the cub back when he got to her. "Lets get you out of this heat" She told him in a sweet voice once her eyes returned to the cub "And thankfully the stream is on the way out"

Without another glance at the gathered lions she ushered the young male towards the stream. This would be perfect she just knew it - why the cub would have a playmate with the one Kivuli had found and even his scar and poor blind eye would play to her favor, Maua..the kind noble who gave her time and love to a poor abandoned disabled cub. Awesome.

Lochan for his part was prety sure he'd made the right choice - so far the lioness didn't seem cruel or mean and she hadn't even pressed him for details about his name..or his past..or anything else that he really didn't want to talk about at the moment.

Following along behind her he scurried ahead to quench his thirst as the stream came into view and once slackened he gave the lioness a thankful look and followed her out of the menacing woods when she turned around to lead the way.

Etana startled violently at the sound of something big moving very quickly towards them and nearly made Gali trip and fall on her face as he threw himself under her legs for protection.

Gali barely managed to avoid trampling Etana, even though she was moving slowly so the cub could keep up. Gali looked around for what could have startled him. All she could see was Kamau. The noise, perhaps? She tipped her head down and looked at the leopard cub peeking out from under her. The noise.

She smiled a greeting, but let him make the first move. It was obvious he hadn't gotten the cub, but Gali was a bit sorry to hear her mother had. It would be good to have cubs around the den again, but a non-noble? How long could her mother's goodwill last with that on her list?

To keep them moving, Gali sidestepped from her position, exposing Etana, and continued on. The leopard, though no longer frightened, scampered to keep up.

"I'm glad the cub found someone to watch over him, at least. I will check in on him when Etana and I get settled."

Gali smiled at the lions around her as they turned to see who had returned. She gave her father an especially bright smile when she saw he had a cub. He would treat her well. That meant there would be two new cubs in her parents' den, but her father might be able to turn her mother's scorn for her new charges aside. Gali would drop in on them with Etana as often as she could. Well, with no positions opening soon, at least Gali had the luxury of having time in which she could learn to be a mother.

Hamu was cheerfully following Subira from the forest and keeping an eye on the hyperactive Kayode, but the cub eluded Hamu's close watch.

"Kayode!"

Subira was going to spend a lot of time chasing after that child. Hamu shook his head and followed the cub for a few steps before he realized what Kayode was doing. Exactly what Subira had asked of him. He waited to see how the cub reacted to his friend, and saw the older male practically shrug Kayode off as he found a noble to latch on to. Hamu didn't mind nobles, but he was no fool.

"Kayode, Subira and I are just going to have to get food without you," Hamu boisterously shouted to him. "Are you coming?"

Kayode deflated when he saw the older lion shrug him off. With a sad slump to his shoulders he turned around and looked up at Subira like he'd failed her - and then he heard mention of food. With a giant grin on his maw, he jumped up in excitement. "Let's go get food! I'll race you!" he said before taking off at a full run out of the woods.

Subira was going to have a hard time with this little cub, she could just tell it. With a noticible sigh of exhasperation, she turned and shook her head at her friend and took off after the energetic cub.
