SubonicXP "Slow you down? Nah." Sub replied to Chuck as he watched the Pangoro shattered the Reflect and slammed its fists into Ulalume. "Now! Destiny Bond!" The Dark One cried out. In response to the command a small glow could be seen from Ulalume's tentacle, 'hair'. It was its held item activating, a Cutsap Berry said had found way back when, he would have to (unfortunately) thank Lum later. The berry would give Ulalume just the right amount of speed and reaction time to get its move in before the X-Scissor hit. A small red beam would fire from its chest, where its alleged heart should be. The red beam would connect with the Pangoro's own chest and remain there, connecting the chi of the pair. When the X-Scissor hit there was no way for Ulalume to survive, and that's exactly what Sub wanted for when Ulalume fainted the red beam which connected them would attempt to rob Pangoro of all its strength and make the panda faint along with its destiny bound enemy. "That's what it was for." Sub smiled as he recalled his squid. "Now for something even more unconventional. Come on out, Gardy!" The man declared, starting to become way too ecstatic over this battle, sending out the only Pokemon that could match his enthusiasm. "Yay! I get to battle!" Gardy squealed into the minds around her. "HAHAHA!" Chuck roared with laughter as he recalled the fainted Pangoro, "This is turning into a real fight after all!" Now, let's bring this battle to the finale!" Hurling his last Pokeball, he bellowed, "DYNAMIC PUUUUNNNNCCCHHH!" The bursting flash of red light revealed Chuck's last Pokemon, his Machamp, barreling straight for Gardy, with its arms flung out wide abandoning all pretense of defense, in a fantastic display of No Guard. As the Machamp charged, all four of its arms lashed out in brilliant speed, executing a devastating, and quite stylish, Dynamic Punch, nailing the psychic type squarely in the head. (Gardevoir is now confused, due to Dynamic Punch + No Guard)

Isaac Hawking "HAHAHA!" Chuck roared with laughter as he recalled the fainted Pangoro, "This is turning into a real fight after all!" Now, let's bring this battle to the finale!" Hurling his last Pokeball, he bellowed, "DYNAMIC PUUUUNNNNCCCHHH!" The bursting flash of red light revealed Chuck's last Pokemon, his Machamp, barreling straight for Gardy, with its arms flung out wide abandoning all pretense of defense, in a fantastic display of No Guard. As the Machamp charged, all four of its arms lashed out in brilliant speed, executing a devastating, and quite stylish, Dynamic Punch, nailing the psychic type squarely in the head. (Gardevoir is now confused, due to Dynamic Punch + No Guard) The punch would indeed land dead center of Gardy's face but the Embrace Pokemon would resist it extremely well as she used her telepathic powers to brace for impact, it paid off being not only Psychic but Fairy as well. That said she immediately began to feel the effects of the confusion, though for Gardy it probably felt like a high considering her natural state was already confused. "Hypnosis!" Sub commanded, seeing an opportunity. Without a word and right after the punch Gardy would unleash from her eyes, or at least attempt to, a hypnotic wave of suggestion, attempting to lull the Machamp fast asleep. The confusion was making it difficult to focus however and for some reason she had the idea to slap herself in the face, hopefully she did not. (1, hits self in confusion. 2, Hypnosis goes off and thanks to No Guard it will hit, works both ways.)

Unable to catch its footing before the waves of hypnotic suggestion tool effect, Machamp crashed rather unceremoniously to the ground, out light a light. "Machamp," Chuck barked out, attempting to wake up the sleeping Pokemon, "Snap out of it! We've got a fight to finish!" (1, Still asleep. 2, Wakes up.)

Before Machamp would get a chance to wake up Sub would give Gardy another command, in fact right after his first one so that there would be no margin of error, they had a perfect opening and they were going to use it.
"Moonblast!" The man commanded.
Gardy would conjure in between its hand a mass of Fairy chi. Thanks to the momentary sleep she had time to charge up a little extra than normal and made sure to fire the attack right for the gut of the sleeping Machamp. They wanted to make sure this hurt.
"Huh, never saw a Pokemon wake up from sleep that quick. Usually you get at least one minute before they even think of coming back from dreamland..." Sub mused as he watched the Machamp begin to stir.

(Forgot to roll for confusion. Two rolls. First one if Gardy hits self, even she does, odd she doesn't. Second one for confusion count as it's suppose to last 1-4 turns like sleep. If 1 then ignore first roll as she already had a guaranteed turn of being confused.)

"HAHAHA!" Chuck laughed from across the gym, "You underestimate Machamp's strength. The two of us just finished up a training excursion to the Alola region. Picked up a new trick while we were there. If you are lucky, we just might show it to you. For now, let's see how you handle this, Earthquake!" Leaping into action, Machamp sprung into the air, with all four fists drawn back in preparation for the devastating attack. Crashing into the ground directly in front of the recovering Gardy, with all four fists slamming into the ground in a simultaneous strike. The combined blows opened up a yawning chasm in the gym floor, swallowing up poor Gardy.

Isaac Hawking Leaping into action, Machamp sprung into the air, with all four fists drawn back in preparation for the devastating attack. Crashing into the ground directly in front of the recovering Gardy, with all four fists slamming into the ground in a simultaneous strike. The combined blows opened up a yawning chasm in the gym floor, swallowing up poor Gardy. There was no avoiding that, the fissure in the gym floor would swallow Gardy up, the Psychic disappearing into the great maw. "Gardy!" Sub shouted as he watched his Pokemon disappear. That couldn't be it, she certainly had some fight left in her. "I know you're in there! Show them that they have underestimated us! Use Psychic!" The man called out. For several seconds nothing happened, was Gardy truly knocked out by that attack? No, she couldn't be and both trainers were about to see that she wasn't. Rising up out of the chasm, floating in the air via telekinesis, came Gardy, her eyes glowing pink and her body bruised up a little bit. The Psychic would place herself just hovering over the ground before throwing a hand forward and unleashing a devastating blast of unseen Psychic power which threatened to blow away anything in its path. Dirt, rocks, and more importantly Machamp would be swept up in the telepathic blast. As the wave of telekinetic energy swept outwards it caught and flung Machamp backwards, sending the four armed Pokemon sprawling into the ground. "Impressive," Chuck called out from across the gym, "You're quite the trainer, and your Pokemon fight spectacularly. Now, let's end this battle holding nothing back! Machamp!" He shouted, his voice rising to an excited bellow, "Show them your true strength! Fissure!" Muscular arms hauled the battered fighting type off of the gym floor. Leveling a determined glare at the hovering Gardy, the Machamp charged forward at full bore, despite the wracking pain it must have been in after that last attack. Leveling a determined glare at the hovering Gardy, the Machamp charged forward at full bore, despite the wracking pain it must have been in after that last attack. Just before it reached the edge of the Earthquake fracture, it leapt into the air, spreading all four arms wide as it attempted to ensnare the hovering psychic type. Snatching Gardy, it then raised the Gardevoir overhead with it lower two arms, as the upper pair clasped together in preparation for the devastating blow to come. As the dust cleared it revealed Machamp collapsing onto the battered gym floor. As the Pokemon fell, it would be enveloped in a glowing red light as Chuck recalled the fainted Pokemon."Congradulation," he announced, clapping his hands as he approaced the victorious trainer. Clasping Sub's hand, he pressed the Storm badge into it as he continued, "That was a spectacular fight, you have more than earned the right to have this badge. Wear it with pride." Giving Sub a hearty slap on the back, Chuck laughed, "You've got a bright future ahead of you kid." Turning back to the battered gym floor, he spoke up again more to himself than Sub, "Now I need to get Poliwrath healed up so that he can Bulldoze my floor again. HA! More intensive training! HAHAHA!"

Sub began to smile from ear to ear as he saw Gardy was still standing, however bruised up pretty bad and almost out of breath. "Way to go Gardy!" He cheered for the Pokemon as she ran up to her and for once gave her a great big hug, a 'glomp' if you will. As Chuck approached he let go of the Pokemon and recalled her so that she could rest. Looking at the badge in his hand with pride the man didn't see the slap on the back coming and almost fell over when Chuck delivered it, the bigger man nearly knocking the wind out of him. "Oof, thank you. Perhaps we'll see each other again some day." He said to the man as he stashed the badge away, trying to get his breath back as he exited the gym. ----- The Dark One would now find himself in Olivine City, having taken a ship from Cianwood to the port city he now found himself, using the time on the ship to let his Pokemon relax for a day after a long hard battle. Though he didn't plan on using Gardy in this gym, not only was she at a disadvantage here but she earned a good long rest after what she went through. "Hellooo!" Sub shouted into the vast seemingly empty gym as he entered. He always heard the leader here was kind of a loner but he chalked that up to just rumors. "Anyone here?" Maybe the rumors were true, the place seemed deserted.

Sub would indeed find the gym empty, for at least a couple of minutes, before the one Sub was here for would run in. "Oh dear, I'm sorry!" She'd smooth down her dress when she caught up to Sub, bowing deeply. "My apologies, I was checking up on Amphy in the lighthouse. Um, can I assume that you're here for a gym battle, then," she asked, straightening up and smoothing her dress once more.

She'd smooth down her dress when she caught up to Sub, bowing deeply. "My apologies, I was checking up on Amphy in the lighthouse. Um, can I assume that you're here for a gym battle, then," she asked, straightening up and smoothing her dress once more. "Oh, that's perfectly fine." Sub said as he turned around to face the lady trainer as she entered the building. "I've heard a lot about the Glitter Lighthouse growing up in Ecruteak City. How is Amphy?" He asked, momentarily getting distracted by pleasantries. He was here for a battle after all.
