SubonicXP Perhaps fate was finally favoring Tristen as the the second Signal Beam smacked the rampaging beast right in the face, causing it to stumble and miss its target. The beam had the funny way of snapping the Pokemon out of its rage but the sudden change caused it to become even more confuse, the Pokemon literally slashing its self in the face as it appeared to be trying to get to the spider. The dragon would keep stumbling around until it went over the edge of the field, smacking into the ground face first. "Well then, that's the end of that." The veteran said with a laugh as she recalled her Pokemon. "I suppose it's back to the beginning for me, huh?" She smiled, throwing out her last, and first, Pokeball. "Ditto!" The Pokemon chimed once before it made a new sound. "Galvantula!" It hissed. "Ditto, Signal Beam." The woman commanded, the spider firing off its own Signal Beam at its twin. Galvantula managed to hold its ground for the moment, but it couldn't stay like this for too long. The problem being is that Druddigon already causing a good deal of damage as is on the bug in the first place. The only edge, if one could call it that, that Tristen had was the Dragon Tail smash that the Ditto took from the starting gun, but with how this fight is turning out, this is starting to look rather dire. His only other advantage right now is that he relatively knows what this Galvantula is capable of, and she doesn't, otherwise she probably could have used something else other than Signal Beam. That said, the boy's options were about as limited as hers even if she did know; he was left at a loss as to what to do. His bag of tricks was starting to run empty. It wasn't like he could paralyze this copy cat now that it's in the shape of Galvantula, which is what he wanted to do rather badly. A thought did come to mind. "Galvantula! Electroweb!" Tristen shouted. The spider hopped back, and fired a bunch of sticky, electrified webbing. Sure the damage wouldn't even so much as phase the Ditto now, but perhaps slow this thing down. Or so the boy hoped.

Things weren't looking so hot from Amaranth's perspective. Kangaskhan barely turned in time to see that Scrafty had turned to salvage its original plan, sweeping her off her feet. The kick itself had a fair bit of power, but the weight of the bulky Pokemon didn't help one bit.
Proving that bigger targets indeed meant harder falls, Kangaskhan came crashing down, trying to get back up while she had the chance.

Kaya could only watch as Afreda's dream was stolen away and swallowed by the demented Gardevoir. He had to admit that was a wonderfully pixie-like Pokemon in it's battling nature, from what he could read of it so far. "Afreda! Wake up and use Smack Down!" He called out, hoping he would get through.
(Odds, Carbink wakes up, evens, it stays asleep)

The Mawile would make contact with the Clamperl and find that its shell was far more solid than it probably anticipated. Was this a Water type or a Steel type? "Um...use Confuse Ray." The girl ordered. The Clamperl would open up just long enough to emit a bright flash of dazzling light. Leslie may or may not have seen the small pink scale nestled inside of its shell when it opened. What was that?
-----
The wannabe spider would begin to hiss as the Electroweb fell down around it, absorbing electricity out of its body's instinct but alas could down nothing about the sticky web that clung to its body. "Smart move, shame I don't know more about your Pokemon's abilities so I'll have to stick with Signal Beam." The veteran said with a smile as the Ditto remained in place and fired off another Signal Beam at its twin. Hopefully Tristen would take advantage of the stuck spider.
-----
And the Scrafty would not stop there, oh no, these things were cruel Pokemon as any Pokedex would tell you. The Scrafty would now jump into the air and come down on the Kangaskhan head first to perform one of its breed's signature moves, Headbutt.
-----
Apparently Carbink remained asleep the woman was going to let her Gardevoir have another bite of its dreams. "Keep it coming, love." She giggled, the Gardevoir continuing to snatch away the gem Pokemon's dreams.

Now Amaranth could understand why her last opponent was so cautious. Something like that happening wasn't pleasant to watch, and while she couldn't give any direct orders, she could save Kangaskhan from further harm. Seeing her Pokemon go back down as Scrafty landed a nasty Headbutt, she quickly recalled her from underneath her opponent, sending Breeze out in her place.
Seeing the opponent before her and at least knowing a little more of what to expect, she sent an Air Slash to try and keep Scrafty at bay. It was a good thing that she was able to be woken up inbetween battles.

The boy shouted. He had to keep this spider copy down in the rut before it could free itself from the electrified webbing, darting off to the side to avert the Signal Beam. "Galvantula! Slash attack!" The whole beam spam between the two spiders wasn't working out, the boy thought, and if it continued on, this fight would probably not end well for his in particular. The Galvantula scurried over towards the copy and leaped, coming down with its two front legs to cause a hurt.

Knowing what he was here for, now, Kaya resisted every urge he had to Fairy Lock his opponent in order to buy time. This was a fair, legitimate battle under Pokemon League regulations and he had to remember to abide by those rules, otherwise he would forfeit and what he had done to get here would all have been for naught. Of course, at this rate, it still would be.
"Afreda, wake up! Use Power Gem!" He called to his partner, hoping she would awaken at his cry and obey, striking Gardevoir down, though he knew it wouldn't be that easy. Even worse was that he knew his Light Screen from her release wasn't mitigating this damage.
(Same as before)
At last, Afreda nodded awake, cutting off whatever dream Gardevoir had been in the middle of consuming. Looking around in a state of panic and confusion, Afreda locked eyes with Gardevoir after a moment and remember where she was. Following Kaya's command, which had reached her just as she had woken up, she filled her core with Rock energy and blasted it from her various gems, her primary head gem aiming right for Gardevoir. Would it hit? More importantly, how much more of this battle could she withstand?

Leslie stared intently at the Clamperl, attempting decipher what was making this one so strong. The Sandshrew, she had easily spotted the Eviolite it had. But what was the Clamperl using? Unsure how to determine it, Leslie was content to simply order her Mawile into action again. "Lacuna, use Iron Head." Leslie coolly demanded, watching her Mawile begin to charge towards the Clamperl again. Or start for the Pokemon, stumble halfway through, and smash herself with her larger mouth when she fell to the ground.

The Air Slash would sweep up and dice up the Scrafty, the Pokemon receiving a nasty hit. Once the Pokemon regained its footing it decided to do what it knew best, a Hi Jump Kick and prayed that it didn't miss.
-----
The spider Ditto hissed in main as the real spider came down and slashed it hard. Unfortunately that was all the stamina the Ditto hard as it reverted back to its gooey form out of exhaustion, giving Tristen the win. "The Bolt wins!" The ref announced, the crowd erupting with applause. "Excellent battle young man!" The woman said with a big smile as she recalled her Pokemon and saluted the hybrid before walking off.
"Looks The Bolt will be heading to the finals! And on top of it the Battle Dome's brain has taken interest in our little zapper! I've gotten word that if he can defeat his next opponent he'll have the honor of facing Dome Ace Tucker for a chance to win a Tactics Symbol!" The ref announced, the crowd now chanting Tristen's name. "Head on back to the lockers and await your next battle!" He said, patting Tristen on the back.
-----
"Uh oh..." The Gardevoir's own trainer mumbled as the Power Gem hit Gardevoir, swept her off her feet, and carried her into the wall, landing a critical hit and knocking out the Psychic type. "Crap...looks like she'll have to stop you." The woman huffed as the curtain behind her began to part to reveal a doorway designed to look like a Seviper's mouth.
"Go on, the brain of this operation awaits." She said with a scowl.
-----
"How about a Whirlpool?" The girl said, uncertain of herself. The Clamperl would respond by spitting out from its slightly open shell a stream of water which would head towards Mawile, wrap around it and rapidly form a raging vortex around it which would attempt to sweep it up and throw it around.

This battle was way too close for comfort. Galvantula managed to pull out a victory, if only barely. He wasn't the one on the battlefield doing the attacks like his Pokemon were, but trying to stay on top of the game, thinking outside of the box in the most dire of situations as fast as he could, it was flat out exhausting. He wasn't used to this. He wondered how his teacher could stay on such a thing for so long. The boy recalled the tired spider and made his way back to the lockers once again, going to heal his Pokemon once again as he waited to be called. He had to gather himself. The veteran pushed the kid the hardest anyone has so far, and he still had another opponent, and if making it by him, the Frontier brain as well.

Kaya recalled Afreda with a nod to his opponent, too shocked by what had just transpired to speak yet. He had never expected to get a one hit KO against a Pokemon like Gardevoir. But then, he wasn't exactly knowledgeable about the species' tendency to be glass cannons.
Proceeding through the seviper-mouth doorway, he wondered how much of a chance he had at winning this thing with a single Pokemon in any condition to battle. While it might be a Carbink, a Pokemon whom he had learned through careful study after capturing it, was known to be somewhat of a wall, the likelihood of victory was still slim. Defensive his last remaining partner might be but she was certainly not offensively powerful.

The Mawile would be unable to avoid the swirling ball of water, sucking her off of the ground and sending her spinning around inside the grinding water of the Whirlpool. The sudden dosage of pain would snap Lacuna's attention to something resembling focus, with the Mawile swinging her large mouth to send herself flying around the ball of water to freedom, flying through the air to slam into the Clamperl with the Iron Head that had been intended for the opponent originally.

Breeze dropped down as soon as she saw Scrafty lunge at her with a High Jump Kick, but she wasn't able to avoid it. Instead, she wound up becoming a sort of floating stepping stone as Scrafty's attack landed, though apart from the hit to the head and her falling to the ground momentarily, she seemed to be fine.
Instead of counterattacking, however, she pulled her wings close and looked up to the ceiling as if making some sort of Wish before finally taking into the air once more.

As Tristen made it back to the locker room to heal his Pokemon he would find his locker room 'friend' was not there to greet him like after every battle thus far. Maybe he was competing too this whole time and lost, who knows. Either way it wouldn't be long before Tristen would be called to take the stage for the final match of the tournament.
Once Tristen exited through the locker room doors he would find that the stadium was far more packed than people, literally people on top of people. As he walked down the path leading to the battlefield people were reaching out to touch him or get him to sign pieces of paper, stuffed Electrike dolls, and even candid pictures of him. Where did all of this come from?
Waiting on the battlefield was the ref from every other battle and another familiar face standing where all of his opponents have stood before. "Hey!" Alan cheered, waving at Tristen energetically. "Funny meeting here huh?" He said with a chuckle.
"And here you have it folks, the end of today's tournament! On one side we have the newcomer and underdog...Tristen the Bolt!" The ref announce, the crowd chanting Tristen's name in response. "And on the other one of the dome's most popular trainers...Alan the Unbeaten!" And the crowd's chants began to fade away from Tristen's name and flood the stadium with almost cult-like chants for Alan the Unbeaten. This didn't sound good.
"Can I talk to my opponent for a bit?" Alan asked the ref before he had a chance to say anymore. The ref just shrugged at the question, really not sure how to respond. "I bet you're confused, huh? You're a nice guy and everything and I only gave you info on each of your opponents in hope that you would win each time and make it here. What better end to Alan the Unbeaten's fifth dome victory right before taking on the brain? I mean, the crowd's love a good underdog story. Gotta play the crowd, ya know?" He laughed.
"Ahem...if you're finished then let begin the final match! Trainers, send out your Pokemon and begin!" The ref declared. "Right! I hope you stay and watch my battle with Tucker after this. Maybe we can get some dinner later as well. No hard feelings, right?" Alan said as he tossed a Safari Ball onto the field, the device bursting open in a show of light to reveal a Gliscor.
-----
Kaya would now find himself in a dimly lit room which was essentially one giant battlefield. The field its self was standard but painted with Seviper colors. Seviper statues of varying menacing poses also lined the field. None of that would be too important to Kaya, at least no as important as what stood on the other side of the battlefield, waiting for his appearance.
"I am Lucy, I am the law here, for I am the Pike Queen." The tall slender woman with Seviper-like hair and clothing said to Kaya as he stood on the other side of the field, clutching a Pokeball in her hand. "I'm not one for idle chatter. Hurry. Come on. Your luck...I hope you didn't use it all up here..." She said in a hurried and emotionless voice, taking the ball in hand and throwing it onto the field.
"Gyarados!" Roared the massive serpentine sea monster as it appeared from the ball.
-----
The Clamperl cried from inside of its shell as the Iron Head hit and sent vibrations through it. "Oh! Uh...uh...Blizzard?" The girl said, man was she uncertain of herself. While the girl was not very confident her shellfish was quit powerful as it opened up and unleashed a fierce icy gale at the Mawile before it.
-----
The Scrafty while it did not hit it didn't hit directly and so when it attempted to land it fumbled, tripping and messing up the landing as it rolled a bit. Looked like it hurt. The hooded Pokemon wouldn't let that stop it though, going back at the Togekiss with another Hi Jump Kick as it jumped high into the air and intended to come down on the Togekiss hard. This again?

This time, Breeze was a bit more prepared to handle what was coming her way. She held her ground, whipping up a Fairy Wind to try throwing Scrafty off as she moved back slightly.
