It was him, it was Inka. He still didn't look great, and the sight of the red under his eyes caused Severin's jaw to clench-- though her know softer features made that movement less visible. "Oh Inka... Your gorgeous eyes..." Her damn fault... she should have known better, she should have protected him better, she should have-- his question caught her off guard, causing her to blink a few times to regain her thought process. She looked away,at the tree she had been sitting under just moments before. "I was... Moping, I think." She let out a sharp, disgruntled, laugh. "Before all of this, at least. I have a bad habit of doing that when left to my own devices..."

She looked back at Inka, then moved closer, peering closer in to his eyes. She knew better now, like a child having been burned by a stove, than to invade his personal space or use any of the normal mannerisms she used without thought. A frown filled her features, hesitating before talking. "I'm sorry, Inka. That I couldn't protect you. I let my guard down, and you suffered for it. As a shinobi of this village I failed you. The shadow you's were right." She swallowed hard, as if the words stung. Looking in to his eyes only made her more sad; the shimmering golden hue that was once there... It was gone now, his eyes no longer danced like live flame. It hurt to look at them, to look at the product of her own failure.

Once again it was like running face first in to a brick wall, any of her efforts to connect bounced off Inka. Usually this would cause her to sulk off but, perhaps it was the new hormones running through her, this time angry and frustrated tears welled in her eyes. Teeth gritted, body tense, eyes narrowed in anger. ”First off, my lord,” She wielded the word like a sharp weapon, moving closer to the kage. She wanted some emotion from him, some connection, even if it was his anger, even if it was his hatred. ”I wasn’t trying to be better than your ‘picked guard’. I was just trying to do my damned job! As a medical shinobi, it’s my job to protect even your ungrateful a**! Second off,”

Raising a hand an pointing a finger up at the now taller male, angry tears rolling down her cheeks, she continued. ”I do not appreciate this bullshit attitude you have towards me because I happen to look like your dead lover! I can’t help how I was born! I can’t help how I am! I know how much it hurts, I know, okay?! You and the damned Sero can drill it in to me all you want!” Severin let out a sharp hiss, looking away, embarrassed at the fact she was crying in front of the mizukage, though she was still simmering. ”Damn this stupid village, damn you, damn everything. I’m so sick of explaining myself and changing myself to please others.” Whipping around, moonlit hair probably smacking against Inka if she was close enough, Severin began storming off to... she wasn’t sure what. But she didn’t want to be here, here with this person who made her confused and angry and sad and hopeful and so many different things.

Going through her stretches as she walked in, Kagerou entered the academy after having stopped by home for a change of clothes. She paused for a moment, deciding between the several branches, and then walked into the ninjutsu area. With her lvl 2 clearance, she had access to the higher floors, but rather than isolating herself, she stayed on the louder first floor. While other tossed around fireballs and whatnot, Kagerou pulled out the medical training equipment and dragged it over to where the rest of the crowds were. She felt like training in a busy environment today. Once her station was set up, Kagerou left for a moment and then returned with an armful of scrolls. Alright, now was the time to start.

Genshi [ Thread ]
Rank: E
Official Description: Threads and veins, connects severed flesh back, vein to vein. In doing so, less flesh is reduced to scarring, which allows for a shortened amount of healing time needed. Does not provide actual healing, aside from connecting the major veins, meaning that some bleeding still occurs and more acute healing techniques are needed.
Guild Description: The E-rank version is good for little scratches and pokes, the B-rank version for a finger's length, and the S+rank version for a hand's length. Does not need concentrated focus to do, and so is good for emergencies.

Kagerou warmed up with some basics she hadn't touched in forever. Genshi, the creation of threads. Kagerou performed the necessary seals and, upon the dummy, cast the technique. She was satisfied to see that the dummy's mimicked quite accurately the reaction human skin would have to the technique as one of the practice "wounds" upone it was sealed tight. In a few seconds, the wound unsealed itself, ready to be practiced upon again. [1/1]

Shiatsu [ Massage ]
Rank: E
Official Description: For a variety of reasons, muscles, tendons, and ligaments can become overworked and painful. This may be because some type of injury occurred or it may simply be the result of too much work without enough rest. By applying the proper amount of pressure at the right pressure points, and using small amounts of chakra, a medical nin is able to relieve pain and help a patient's body recover more quickly. A strain or sprain can seriously hinder the effectiveness of a shinobi and as such this technique really can make a difference.
Guild Description: See the official description. Allows regeneration of Chakra // Stamina effects to be increased by one category.

Fooling that, Kagerou felt around the dummy's body. She had one eye on the scroll open besides her, which pointed out various massage points, and one eye on the dummy as she tried to find said points. Following the directions, she refreshed on the ideal hand movements for massaging to relax and sooth muscles. She incorporated chakra into her physical technique, reaching those pressure points that were usually too deep to touch from just the outside. [1/1]

Byoukin Tekijo [ Virus Removal ]
Rank: D
Official Description: This technique does not cure a virus; it simply extracts a portion of the virus and prevents immediate death. This technique allows a med-nin enough time to prepare a counter agent to the virus. This technique can also be used to slow down the effects of a virus used against the medical nin so as to give them time to escape or prepare an antidote for themselves. A patient will still die from a lethal virus even if this technique is used if the virus is not treated. The only exception to this is if the person this is being used on was just infected within the last minute or so. (one post) This technique is less effective against highly advanced viruses.
Guild Description: At D-rank, light viruses are extractable, B-rank medium, and S+rank heavy.

This was where Kagerou was walking into new territory. The following technique would assist Kagerou in capturing samples. She understood that the dummy had a harmless virus substitute within it for the intent of practicing a technique like this. Following the hand seals, Kagerou mimicked her general method of extracting poisons from a body. In due time, she retrieved a sample the "virus" from the dummy. After holding the sample for a bit to ensure the stability of her technique, Kagerou directed the extraction back into the dummy's body. [1/1]

Hai Fukuraseruno [ Lung Inflation ]
Rank: D
Official Description: When a patient's lungs collapse, it is often fatal even when a medical shinobi can reinflate them. This jutsu provides an instant prop up of lung tissue, to allow for other eiseijutsu to provide life saving care, such as oxygen circulation and Healing Hands operations.
Guild Description: At D-rank, props up lungs for a single post, with each additional rank gaining another post. Lung Inflation also keeps the patient from breathing properly, which requires additional care.

The next technique was all about inflating the patient's lungs. Kagerou paused for a moment at this technique, her eyes squinting. She had a passing thought regarding alternate uses of the technique, but it passed quickly. Recent events inclined her to think in such a way, but naturally, she wasn't the type to enjoy such alternatives. Kagerou's hands applied the hand seals and worked the dummy's dummy lungs. [1/1]

Ketsuekijunkan [ Circulation of the Blood ]
Rank: D
Official Description: Used when the heart is undergoing irregularities or stillness, this jutsu is good for moving blood forcefully through the heart, to the rest of the body. Alternatively, this can cause open wounds to bleed even more, due to the advanced circulation.
Guild Description: At D-rank, this jutsu can provide a slow, but steady flow. At B-rank, this jutsu acts like a normal but faux heart, with a rhythm. At S+rank, this jutsu overpowers the heart's remaining irregularities or stillness, but any open wounds will mean a quick death via bleed-out.

Two in a row? Really? Kagerou, again, gave it a moment of her thought shortly after reading the tech, but was quick to move on. She preferred thinking about how these techniques helped others, after all. However… This time, instead of hand seals, she started right from learning the technique with her bells as the activation trigger. With a light ring, the dummy blood of the dummy proceeded to circulate, and she found that the force applied to the blood wasn't nearly enough for her second thoughts. [1/1]

Chishio Tensou no Jutsu [ Blood Transfusion Skill ]

Official Description: Loss of blood is a serious condition, and not very uncommon one in the shinobi battlefield. When a person reaches such a dangerous state, a medical nin can ease their symptoms by using this jutsu. First, the medical nin places a surgically precise cut on the patient and then another cut on the donor. The donor and the recipient must have their respective cuts within six inches of each other; this is typically accomplished by cutting their opposing arms and having them lay beside each other. The medical nin then forms a sphere of chakra between the two cuts drawing out blood from both patients and altering it so that the blood type of the donor matches that of the recipient. It is important to remember that taking more than 1 pint of blood from a donor is extremely dangerous, even with the loss of only 1 pint of blood the donor may suffer from dizziness and fatigue.

This next technique Kagerou was going to learn required some of her own blood. Careful, as ever, she practiced the technique first and only after she felt well prepared did she cut her own skin. The cut was quick, without the slightest hint of hesitation, and the blood flowed from the wound freely. It flew freely from Kagerou and into the dummy via one of its wounds. [1/1]

Eshi Tekijo [ Necrotic Flesh Removal ]
Rank: C
Official Description: Used to remove stagnated, non-living flesh, blood, bone, and other such components, without harming the living versions.
Guild Description: At C-rank, this technique is good for less than a finger's width at the surface. At A-rank, this technique can penetrate the surface to remove dead components within the body, and is three finger widths large. At S+rank, the area widens to a palm's width, and can fully penetrate even the most inner sections of the torso.

Kagerou actually was initially tempted to just pass by this technique in the scroll. After all, she could only remember so much. She needed to be selective. However, she recalled the stench of death from… almost a year ago now. Wow, time flew. Her bells rang as she thought about how this technique might have been effective against such enemies… With a wave of her hand and a ring of her bells, Kagerou sloughed off the necrotic flesh that hung from a part of the dummy. Well, rather than "a," it actually took several tries. [1/1]

Ondochousetsu [ Temperature Control ]
Rank: C
Official Description: Normal body temperature can be disrupted for one reason or another and this technique is used to restore it. It can be used to treat abnormally high or low body temperatures either by using chakra to infuse the patients body with heat or by using chakra to siphon off excess heat. It is not required for the medical nin to continue to use this technique in order for it to be effective but unless the cause of the abnormal body temperature is solved then it will occur again over time.
Guild Description: See the official description. Temperature stabilizes for one post at C-rank, lengthening by double for each further, retrained rank.

Kagerou was recognizing that she was reaching the point where technique difficult was starting to move out of the grasp of her bells. She returned to hand signs with this temperature control technique. This time, she used herself as the practice target. Hand signs and then a hand on her chest. From her hand, Kagerou felt her temperature regulate from the slightly warm to a nice cool as the excess heat was siphoned off. [1/1]

Kiku [ Hear ]
Rank: B
Official Description: Increases one's sense of Hearing by a full 50%, and includes all positive and negative consequences of this. For Genjutsu techniques that have the Sound Primary Sense, their effectiveness will be reduced by a Moderate amount. This technique may be applied to anyone, at any time, but requires Kurabou to be learned with the intended recipient for this technique specifically. Once placed upon an individual, a semi-permanent forty [40] Chakra, or Stamina. Either one cannot be restored by any means until the bearer chooses to revoke the technique, at which point the medical shinobi must reapply the technique once more.

Skimming down the list, Kagerou landed on Kiku next. Enhancing hearing would be a valuable tool for herself and others, even if there was a somewhat hefty cost to it. Using hand signs now, the techniques had become too complicated for her to use otherwise, Kagerou increased the sensitivity of her hearing. Then, once she ascertained the success of the technique, she returned her hearing to normal levels.[1/1]

Miru [ See ]
Rank: B

To hear and then to see. The purpose of this technique, or at least Kagerou's reasons for learning it, were the same. These were, for most, the two most used senses out of the six known. Using hand signs again, Kagerou cast the technique. Her hands swiped over her eyes this time, and when she blinked them open, she saw the world far better than before. After a brief moment to wonder if this was what the Sharingan felt like, Kagerou ended the technique. [1/1]

Shiketsuzai [ Bleeding Suppression ]
Rank: B
Official Description: Used when normal jutsu and items are ineffective against stopping a rampant bleeding scenario. Casting this technique causes a great pressure to build up between the user's palm and the bleeding area in question. Although quite effective, it causes some bruising and lots of pooled, stagnant blood.
Guild Description: At B-rank, this jutsu is good for a palm-sized area. At S+rank, this jutsu can potentially stop blood flow in an entire extremity, based solely on pressure. Is considered heart stopping at A-rank, if performed directly over top of it. To stop the heart of an opponent the user must restrain the opponent to ensure immobility to allow for enough precision for it to work.

There were higher level techniques that caught Kagerou's interest, but she relegated those for another date and jumped back to the Shiketsuzai technique. She had passed it over initially as a fall back measure, but it would be a good substitute for the A-rank techniques she had decided to wait on. With this technique, she could suppress the blood while weaker, slower techniques stitched the body together. Activating the dummy's severe bleeding mode, Kagerou succeeded in suppressing the blood flow on her first try. As she expected, there was some dangerous pooling going on with this technique as well. As much as she might have been loath to admit it, the gears in her mind turned. [1/1]

Ningeniro [ Human Color ]
Rank: E
Official Description: An eiseijutsu typically played by academy students, this technique changes the color of the target's skin, eyes, or hair, using their natural melanin. Many varieties are available, from nearly transparent albino to the deepest of black, from the reds of gingers to the violets of eyes! Is permanent.
Guild Description: See official description. Retraining allows for additional colors at once. At A-rank, non-standard colors for specifics, such as green skin or purple hair, are allowed.

Kagerou switched scrolls. She gave the harmful eisei a quick glance through and decided most wouldn't be needed. Finally, the neutral eisei. There was a surprising bit of work here, such as the Academy level Ningeniro, which she easily learned. [1/1]

Reimyo Honnui [ Delicate Stitching ]
Rank: E
Official Description: The user will place their hands against an open wound, releasing chakra from their pores in order to "sew" the injury. The threads formed are more like thin chakra staples than anything else, and can be broken if upset. When the afflicted area is fully healed, the stitches will merely disolve. This technique can also be performed offensively, the user simply hitting the target with a chakra infused hand, creating the threads which can then be tugged and so on.
Guild Description: The user creates chakra stitches to either seal wounds or wrap opponents. For each additional rank of chakra the user pays while performing this technique offensively, the number of threads created and their durability increases accordingly. Each Body Rank allows for five [5] "stitchtes" to be made per utilization of this technique.

Kagerou frowned at the nearly untouched list of E-ranks. Next was Delicate Stitching. She supposed she didn't need it, which was probably why she didn't touch it. Since she was sitting down and all, though, Kagerou successfully used to use chakra staples to stitch the doll's wound shut. [1/1]

Setsugozai [ Adhesives ]
Rank: E
Official Description: Biological adhesives are often used in surgical applications, such as skin grafting and for suturing wounds. The composition of these adhesives includes variations of proteins. Fibrin is a commonly used natural “clotting” protein material that is used to help mend damaged vessels and for wound applications.
Guild Description: Does not immediately stop bleeding or begin healing, as this is a mid- to long-term medical jutsu, meant to keep stitches, emergency measures, and other such techniques from failing. Healing Hands applied after this, and during the same operation, will reduce its chakra cost by a single rank. Used offensively, can glue living tissue to other living tissue. Retraining only increases the restraint's rank.

Again, another technique Kagerou figured was just better to replace with actual materials. Still, she never knew, and the methods were so simple that Kagerou had to force herself to read the directions carefully instead of just guessing. Turns out her guess was absolutely spot-on anyways. Kagerou shaped her chakra to create the protein adhesive. [1/1]

Onkyoutai [ Body Echoes ]*
Rank: D
Official Description: An ultrasound jutsu, what is on the inside is illuminated to a black and white image at the surface. Precise eiseijutsu becomes even more so when one can see within, and many patients have requested this to see their future children. Requires both hands to physically touch the surface, with the image displaying between them.
Guild Description: See official description. At B-rank, color is added, while at S+rank, the image becomes fully 3-D.

Ahah, Kagerou finally left the embarrassing skipped E-ranks. She picked up the Body Echoes techniques from the D-rank list. Although, she preferred to refer to it as the ultrasound technique. After hand signs, she placed her hands upon the dummy. Between her stationary hands, an image formed. It was only in black and white, but evidently, that was the extent she could use the technique. Shindan: Ni [ Diagnosis: Two ]*
Rank: C
Official Description: Requiring regular Diagnosis before this, Ni elaborates on what is actually wrong, specifically, based on the user's learned knowledge. If already studied or experienced, it will tell what kind of level of infection is present (P.V.D. and severity), and what remedy steps must be taken, if known. Can also determine what kind of cancer, if any, is present, where, and in what quantities.

From D-rank, Kagerou skipped right over to C-rank. Now, this was a technique she had been eyeing for a while. She just never got around to it. Building on what she learned to do with Diagnosis: One, Kagerou improved it to Diagnosis: Two. This doll, evidently, was infected with a rather mild case of the flu. At least, that was the simulation Kagerou read from her technique. Looking at the dummy information, she saw that she was correct. [1/1]

Kagerou stretched as she cleaned up her workspace. She was going to continue training, but this would be the final stretch, so she might as well put what she didn't need away. Pushing the dummy to the side and out of the way, Kagerou walked over to return all but the scroll on A-rank eiseijutsu.

That was when the event hit. Petals drifted in through the open windows of the academy, and Kagerou, expecting winter, turned her head at the sudden arrival of spring. She smiled faintly, if a little in confusion, at the petals dancing in the wind. Then she noticed the Sero… Once again, it had changed. The smile lost itself in the petals of the giant tree as Kagerou stepped closer to the window, staring at the giant pods that burdened the branches.

Others, like her, also approached the window in curiosity. Kagerou shook her head after the first step, though, and returned to her original task, hastening her steps. She had just relinquished all of the scrolls, even her high ranking scroll, into the return bin when the emotions hit. No, this time, it was only just one emotion. Still, it was enough for Kagerou to take a knee where she stood. Faced against unknown circumstances, she prepared herself mentally as best as she could.

This time, however, wasn't so bad. Kagerou didn't feel her sense of reason, so valuable to her, slip away like the last time. All there was were pictures of Kumotake. Lots of pictures, especially when she saw his naked back… and that time he was on top of her… Oh god… No, so much blushing from Kagerou. She buried her head in her hands and furiously shook her head, trying to scour her mind clean. Ah… Why was Kumotake so cute and funny with his quirky way of doing things?

Kagerou knew what were problem was now. Thinking positively, at least it was only one problem.

• Miracle Performance - Kagerou can perform healing eiseijutsu through her performance/instrument as if it was ninjutsu of the same rank. When performing healing medical techniques, she can target anyone who can hear her music with the jutsu. I.e. she no longer has to be within touch range of the target to use healing hands.

• Calamity Performance - Kagerou can perform offensive eiseijutsu through her performance/instrument as if it was ninjutsu of the same rank. When performing offensive medical techniques, she can target anyone who can hear her music with the jutsu. I.e. she no longer has to be within touch range of the target to use killing hands. Harmful eiseijutsu cast in this manner is guaranteed to hit as long as the condition of sound is met, but it takes one post to manifest its effects. In that time, the technique can be nullified by matching the energy (chakra/stamina/whatever else) cost Kagerou paid to use the entire jutsu, including any extra costs for additions/modifications. Those afflicted by harmful eiseijutsu cast in this manner become aware that if they do not spend the required amount of chakra/stamina, then bad things will happen to their body. The target(s) will have a vague sense of how bad the damage will be, but do not know what exactly will happen.

• Dream Audience - Kagerou's dream is to help as many as she could. From this desire, the dream world manifested the power to multiply the recipients of all of her eiseijutsu techniques. Distracted by her own thoughts, Kagerou gracefully stood up. Her motions were all intentional, carefully orchestrated like she was afraid something would fly out of control. She feelings for Kumotake, feelings which she had to remind herself were merely a passing fancy caused by the strange petals. Looking at the others in her field of vision, she could see that she was not alone in this strange happening. It appeared more were affected this time than last, .

The worried thought brought a smile to Kagerou's face. Yes, if she could think like that, then not all hope was lost. Now, she just needed to get out of this popular gathering spot and find somewhere secluded, where she had less chance of seeing Kumotake.

She flinched, This was going to be troublesome.

In that time, Kagerou had approached the nearest window, fully intending to hop out of it, when a very angry beauty marched right through. Kagerou took a moment to process, not to admire the looks but to run a quick mental identification. Tentatively, curiously, Kagerou shouted after the mysterious woman, "Severin?". Hopefully, he (or she?) would turn and acknowledge the identity, to which Kagerou would express further concern, "Shoot... You got hit by it this time, too? What is it? Gender swap and anger issues? Something else?". She didn't mean to be offensive, and it could be heard through the sincerity in her voice. Kagerou had just never seen Sev angry and had always assumed that he was the type that was hard to anger... or at least the type that was hard to make his anger show.

Unseen to Kagerou, who hadn't thought to turn her head, Inka stood some ways away on the side that she wasn't looking in. The pestering medic had caught Severin before a single corner was turned.

As she angrily stormed off, mind reeling, she was stopped by Kagerou who took a second to realize who she was. She didn't blame her, she looked completely different-- shorter, fairer, softer. Kagerou shouted her name, and she stopped dead in her tracks at the questions; which somehow seemed to derail her angry thoughts. These hormones were really messing with her, and she made a mental note that women were strong and wonderful beings before turning around to face her friend. Crystal blue hues were puffy and red from the rustrated tears she had been crying, streams of glistening wetness decorating her cheeks where the tears fell. "U-Uh... Gender change, yes; anger issues... Not so much? I don't think? I mean hormones- I'm getting off track. Crap. No uh, it was Inkaaaa..."

Saying his name, Severin's eyes trailed from Kagerou to the kage behind her, and her anger began to fade to worry. Inka didn't look like himself, his pose was too slumped, to sloppy. There was no fire to him. Severin's angry and frustrated expression slowly faded to a frown of worry. "He's not acting himself, Kagerou. It's like someone snuffed him out... I.. I'm not any good with people.. I... I-I can't.... I-I don't... A-Ah..." There was a strain in her voice, exasperation at the situation. She reached up, making grabbing motions in the air with her hands, as if she was trying to grasp something.

Seeing a friend cry was really just what Kagerou needed right now. Whatever love she may have felt was swiftly replaced by the desire to help. Kagerou hopped out the window the moment she saw Severin's puffy eyes and she was about to console him when the Mizukage Severin had pointed out, the one Kagerou had yet to spare a glance, intercepted and did the consoling himself.

Kagerou is left to stare with hands half-raised. Stare at the emotional Severin. Stare at the arms that held the silver-haired bundle of--Kagerou could guess now--unrequited love. Stare at the humming Inka. Stare at the glossed over eyes. Curiosity struck Kagerou but she hesitated, remember all too recent incidents.

At her own risk, though, she tentatively stretched out a hand as quietly as she could and waved it in front of the unfocused eyes.

Kagerou was such a good friend, almost instantaneously the young woman was on her way to comfort her when she was intercepted by... Inka? The kage's touch was unexpected, and because of thus Severin tensed up, expecting a fight, but instead she was comforted, her face placed solidly against Inka's chest. The shock was enough to stop her tears dead in their tracks, and the gennin blinked for a few seconds in shock as Inka stroked her hair to calm her much like a father would to his child. Severin couldn't tell if the gesture was genuine or just instinct, as the whole thing still felt odd, still felt off. Despite the awkwardness of the situation, being so close to someone was... nice. She couldn't remember the last time she was this close to someone, it had to have at least been years...

Hands balled themselves in to the fabric of Inka's shirt, and Severin tried her best to hold back the huge tide of emotions she was feeling-- she had been so alone. Turning her thoughts from selfish to selfless, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, opting to try to speak Inka down like she had with the Shadow Inkas. "What's wrong Inka....? You don't seem like yourself... I know we're not your 'picked guard', but we do still care... Please. We just want to help..." Eyes flickered to Kagerou, hoping that the other girl would back her up. A turmoil of emotions were in her eyes, though they were too much of a mixture to pull out one specific emotion. If only she could hide behind her walls, like her normal self could. Stupid hormones, stupid feelings, stupid sero.

Kagerou withdraws her lifted hand to thoughtfully stroke her chin. She catches the flicker of Severin's eyes and returns his confused turmoil with an uncertain smile of her own, trying to reassure when she wasn't sure what she herself would do.

Hesitation meant Kagerou said nothing before Inka gave his two cents on the matter. He was being awfully nice... Awfully open. Well, perhaps "pleasantly" was a better word to describe because it really was kind of nice. The only concern was what the person acting so pleasantly might feel after he returned to normal, but Kagerou had no means to ease the embarrassment after the fact.

What she could do was answer Inka's openness. Kagerou smiled once more at Severin, but this time no uncertainty lay behind her... too-angelic smile. She guessed that Severin liked Inka, so Severin couldn't be expected to be mean to Inka. Kagerou would need to be mean. "Inka-...," Kagerou called for his attention and then abruptly stopped right before she reached the -sama title. Deciding her point was better translated if, just this once, she dropped the honorifics, she calmly delivered the rest of her lines without it, "You think of us as children? Then what about you, closer in age to me than you are to my parents? Are you not being a bit of a 'pompous b***h,' like me? Well, this 'b***h' won't try to speak for everyone, but you dare think that you are so important that I train for death because of you? You dare to think that you have any right to blame yourself for any of the risks I choose take on in order to fulfill of my own personal beliefs and motives? Your worry? Excuse this rude genin who is willfully ruining your reputation and undermining your authority with her contempt of your position, but you ignore my clear worries and demand that I translate your worries after you make my friend cry?".

Kagerou was still pleasantly smiling at the end of her rebuke, though the line of her mouth had grown stiff and forced. She had quickly come to regret her hastily decided course of action. More than just dreading the end result, she had struggled to say each word of her rebuke, feeling just a little horrified that she was being so mean to someone who looked so helpless and was also the kage). In fact, the reason why she had tossed her Shadow-Inka's words back at the real Inka was not because she wanted poetic justice but because Kagerou could think of no harsh words of her own to throw.

All she could hope now, as she faked her smile, was that Severin would come through as she predicted. If he didn't play nice cop to her mean cop, the honey to her bitter medicine, then Kagerou felt like she might cry in shame and guilt.

Plants cultivated by Kagerou grow as if the soil they are nourished by is +1 grade higher than it actually is. Unfertilized soil yields crops in 2 rl weeks. Low-grade fertilizer yields crops in 1 week. High-grade fertilizer reaches a new level of fast and yields crops in 4 days. Child. Child. Child. Inka saw her as a child? Her? Someone only a few years his junior? Frustration welled up in her again as she stared at Inka, who had now let her go. Fists were gripped at her side, ready to go in to another angry explosion... when kagerou beat her too it. Whipping her head to face kagerou, eye wide, she just stared at the younger female for a moment. She stoo there, silent for a few seconds, letting kagerou's words sink in before she turned back to Inka,

"Inka, I am not a goddamn child. I'm only a few years your junior, and as a full a** grown man-- er... woman? Whatever-- my decisions are my own, no matter how dangerous. We knew what we were signing up for when we became shinobi, this is or job. It's the same as your job, and the job of every shinobi before us. Kagerou's words were overly harsh, but she does have a point. You are being hypocritical-- how can you stand there and deny our worry, only to try and enforce your own? It doesn't make sense, it's not healthy." Severin placed a singular finger on Inka's chest, at his heart, as if pointing to it. 'We know what we're asking for when we ask you what's going on in there. We know what it means, we know the dangers of what we're asking, the stipulations. We are not stupid, not ignorant." Her eyes, staring straight in to Inka's, were stern yet gentle. " We care, therefore we worry. It is not selfish, nor weak, to lean on those who care for you."

Entering a man's restroom was probably the last thing Miyuki thought she would intentionally do, but she had to know what had happened. And it had revealed to her a face she didn't recognize. She had thought at first maybe a gender switch, because there were techniques that could do such a thing, or even trick the mind into such a thing, but she didn't even vaguely look like herself--aside from dark sclera. Whoever's body she was in had eyes similar to her own, but gray. What was likely the most distressing in an almost relieving sort of way was that her tendrils were gone, and with it the lack of control of her mind. She could think clearly for the first time in months without a not-voice whispering in the back of her skull. However, just from her personal knowledge of the shifting of her personality, she could both tell that aspect had followed her, and that this body had different elements than her own; personalities she didn't yet know.

Regardless, she had gone to the academy in hopes that someone would be there that wasn't a particular man in a white coat that she could have run into at the hospital. There was always someone at the academy, for any variety of reasons from teaching a class to training jutsu. Just what she found instead was angry voices. Arguing that her curiosity won out over, and she momentarily forgot about her predicament. Slinking around a corner as much as the lanky form could allow, Miyuki listened in on the conversation.

Both voices were feminine, and one she recognized as Kagerou. That brought a bit of embarrassment, but again, not regarding her situation. It was more the fact that she felt like she was following Kagerou, though this time and the previous time hadn't been intentional. Literally the only reason Miyuki went there was because she knew there would be other people who might enlighten her as to what was happening. Plus, she could find out if she was alone in this endeavor or if it was affecting anyone else.

Although, aside from Kagerou and Takeda, she didn't really know anyone.

Anyway, it sounded like they were were arguing with a third person, and not with another. She heard the name Inka--what did the Mizukage have to do with this? Kagerou spat back in Inka's face the phrase he had used on her. The other person called him a hypocrite, and both expressed similar feelings Miyuki had when facing the Inka Clone when the Sero went nuts. Though their emotions came from the care and concern they showed the Mizukage, rather than the apathy Miyuki showed at his selfishness. Leaning against the wall, she continued to listen intently and quietly.
