hm... we need a good topic, any ideas?
Topic? ...ummm.. caaaann... *pulls one out of her mask* .....anyone picture Naruto being dubbed?
I'm thinkin they'd screw up BAD... unless they try extra hard... like on Inuyasha, the dubbin was pretty ok with that...
^^;
We shouldn't have to worry TOO much about Naruto's fate as a dub as long as 4Kids entertainment DOESN'T get the rights to put it out. This is the same company that slaughters Visions of Escaflowne, and the same one that puts out YuGiOh (I think), and the one that has gotten ahold of One Piece.
Viz is a decent company, they do Inu Yasha (both manga and anime) and all the other Rumiko Takahashi titles (Ranma1/2, Lum, Maison Ikkouku--at least they do all the manga of her stuff).
I'd rather see a company with more practice at doing quality dub and translation work, instead of just trying to turn a popular series in Japan into some commercial venture in the English speaking world. (In others, a company that doesn't routinely edit things out of a series.)
ADV (RahXephon, Evangelion, Full Metal Panic, Orphen, Blueseed, NukuNuku, "Samurai X"...) is a good company, Anime Works (Rurouni Kenshin, Magic User's Club, Shinesman, Magic Knight Rayearth) is good too (especially with Kenshin), And there's also Central Parks Media aka Software Sculptures who I know best for doing the Slayers tv series. Funimation has grown into a respectable company too (I think they're going to put out an UN-edited version of One Piece to keep fans from killing 4kids Ent.) so there's hope there too.
Unless Pioneer/Geneon is involved with Naruto in Japan, I doubt they'll be someone handling an English Release of it.
Just no Fox BOx Naruto! It'll get so messed up if it's made to go there, I just know it! *hopes from Cartoon Network and Adult Swim instead*
