Alanta looked questioningly at Belle. "Why would you? It seems to me vampires are meant to attract people, not the opposite."

"Eh...it really depends on who your waitress is. I find the dumber ones seem to be more oblivious to the fact." Said Julie, shrugging.

"Erm, what? Oblivious to the presence of vampires, or their general good looks?" Alanta was mystified - she wished her telepathic skills included mind-reading too.

"Well, the blond ones who think that their all that, get intimidated and run out crying." Belle said.

"To the first one." Said Julie, blushing. "I just tell Aaron not to look at the waitresses. His eyes are dangerously dazzling." She said, laughing.

Alanta laughed along with Julie, after a moment's hesitation. The noise sounded wrong in the medium of their minds. "This is it," she said, coming to a stop before a glass door quite close to the street. "Shall we go in?"

"Of course! I'm always good for some food!" Said Julie, smiling widely.

Alanta shot a furtive glance at Aaron, Belle and Christian. "They make everyone order something, though, or they won't let you in." The manager had very old-fashioned ideals.

"Well, then I guess we're eating for five then!" Said Julie, laughing. "If these guys have to, I suppose they'll eat, but Aaron's told me it doesn't taste very good."

"Like dirt." Aaron contributed.

"True dat!" Belle said giving Aaron a high-five. "but, do we HAVE to eat it is the question, we just have to order something."

"That makes sense," Alanta agreed. "Just to be safe, we'd better leave a big tip too." She blushed. "Sorry, I should have thought of this stuff before I made my recommendation."

"Eh! Don't worry about it, its no big deal." Said Julie, putting her hand on Atlanta's shoulder. "It's not as if their opinion counts anyways." She said, pointing towards the three vampires.

Alanta shook her head at Julie's outrageous comments, and led the way inside. 'Table for five," she gestured to the waiter at the front with a wave of her hand. Suddenly silent - there was just something about the atmosphere of this place - they all walked to their assigned table. As soon as they were all seated, and the menus were passed out, the waiter left with an "I'll be back in a few minutes." Then the conversation resumed.

"I meant that they're not the ones eating!" Said Julie, in her defense when she realized what that had sounded like out loud. It had made sense in her head....

Alanta gave the menu a cursory glance, but she soon set it down and decided she would have her usual. "Have you picked out something for everyone?" she asked, keeping the humour out of her voice.
