People are stupid by nature- they're willing to believe whatever ******** MTV tells them, and the flavor of the week is Emo. Personally, I can;t stand that s**t.

"Emotional Rock" no, Rock itself is emotional- The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Scorpions, AC/DC, Jimmi Hendrix- THEY were emotional because their lyrics dealt with heart-rending issues and the music matched it, and it was GOOD. Emo music is just... crap.

Take Good Charlotte- they have a few good songs, but they're all about making money, it's no longer about the MUSIC, man! And... to be honest, that saddens me- that music is all a big corporate thing now, instead of the raw emotion it was years ago, when they didn't care about the money, but they cared about having a good time and making kick-a** music!

Iggy Pop (Pretty much the Godfather of American Punk) said himself "Music isn't supposed to reach a demographic, it's not supposed to be about money, or inspiring emotions and whatnot- it's MUSIC! It's SUPPOSED to make you feel GOOD!

The guy from Fort Minor? Yeah, he's good, but Linkin' Park's music has become stale and more... mainstream now. Everything pre- and post-Meteora was ranging from Great to Decent (Their first album just blew me away the first time I heard it) but Minutes to Midnight is.... passable, AT BEST.

Yeah, Mike Shinoda- he started that rap outfit called Fort Minor. They didn't make many songs- I think only 1 album for the time between Meteora and Minutes to Midnight when he took a pause form Linkin' Park.

But I hate that- which is why when I get MY s**t together, I'm gonna use my friend's studio to record my music- no corporate labels taking my creativity away form me.


I'd been thinking- what label to sing with? Metal Blade is amazing at treating their acts nicely, as is Roadrunner. But I don't wanna tour with Slipknot.

I hear Earache records are amazing at keeping their artists happy- which is why most Thrash bands stay with them.
