Fayt was less nervous now. A little more at ease hanging out with them. The birth of the puppies seemed to be a unifying experience although he never wanted to see something like that again....ever.
The puppy Drake returned snuggled closely among his siblings and proceeded to feed. Yoki seemed to have dozed off again from the labor.
In the meantime a couple customers came and went.

Tristen nodded.
"probably. Nothing in the drawing says she's the one who did this...but then again it is only a drawing of the scent - not her. At any rate we need to find her. She may know something ro she's the one who's done it. it's odd that teh murders have stopped now though."

Drake sat down on the floor to watch them, especially taking notice of the little one who'd fallen out.
there was something magical about this new life emerging. for the first time in a long time he started to regret not being able to have his own kids

"How are they?" Koko's voice sounded as she appeared in the doorway after taking care of another customer and going on her 'lunch' break. "Find one you like already? Or still deciding?"
Fayt sat down next to Drake and watched the little pups squirm and wiggle about. Eventually they settled down with full bellies.

"not Buster." Drake said quickly before Judith had a chance to pick. he looked mildly embarassed at the little outburst and laughed.
"heh sorry. If i get one i'd love to have him....it is a 'he' right?"

"Which one is Buster?" Koko asked. "There was only one girl so I'm guessing you're odds are good." A pleased sound came from Bly as he took his place next to Yoki as she rested.

Drake pointed to the little wriggling pup, recognising him instantly.
"that one. the clumsy inquisitive one." he smiled again, fondly

Judith glanced at Koko then Drake, then the puppies.
"Yes..." She said and knelt down cautiously, Yoki never seemed to like her so would she really be okay with her taking a puppy, Judith wondered and gently picked up one of the puppies.

"It's ok," Koko assured Judith.
Koko glanced at the puppy Drake pointed out. It was the only one not yet asleep. She knelt down and gently picked up the little pup. She cooed softly to the babe as she checked it's gender. She siad something to Yoki in native speech. Yoki flipped her tail and Koko gave a small smile. She then scooted over and handed Buster to Drake. "It's a boy," Koko grinned.
The little pup wiggled in Drake's hands and snuggled in comfort. "Isn't that precious," Koko commented. Fayt smiled. The once frightening vampire looked so docile now. It was kind of funny in its own way.

Drake smiled and cupped his hands carefully around the pup, watching it as it snuggled down.
"he's beautiful." he said gently stroking him with a couple of fingers. "I mean handsome." he quickly corrected.
"Can I keep him?"

"I already said you could, mehot," Koko replied blushing a little at the slip of her tongue at the last bit she said-not that they knew the meaning of the word.
Fayt wasn't paying attention. He was looking over the other two pups-trying to figure out how to convince his dad to let him have one.
((Mehot means love in Cheyenne....just so ya know))

Drake didn't understand what Koko called him and looked up from the pup with a grin, focusing mainly on the fact that new he had his very own dog, however little it was now.
"thanks."
he then paused.
"mehot? it that french?"
