All I know is just you're not here to say What you always used to say But it's written in the sky tonight So I won't give up, no I won't break down Sooner than it seems life turns around And I will be strong even if it all goes wrong When I'm standing in the dark I'll still believe Someone's watching over me
▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂
And the boats started across the lake. Kayla smiling as she caught her first sight of the castle. "Wow! Do you see that? It's Hogwarts! It's time! We will be sorted soon!" she said as the boats moved across the water. Where will I go? she thought excitedly.
▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂
That I won't give up, no I won't break down Sooner than it seems life turns around And I will be strong even when it all goes wrong When I'm standing in the dark I'll still believe That someone's watching over, someone's watching over Someone's watching over me, someone's watching over me

Kimberly Hudson ====================== Pureblood || Unsorted || Eleven || First Year ====================== Kimberly sat silently as she let the professor talk to her and then nodded in respect, letting her know she understood. The eleven year old girl look towards the castle and smiled to try and get her spirits up again. She couldn't wait to get to the school so she could have a better chance creating friends in whatever house she was placed in.
When the boats started moving she looked into the water and tried to imagine what life was like in the deep water. How black it was underneath and to think of the squid. How scary it must be underneath for mortals. Mermaids, fish, squids, and many other types of creatures. No telling how the fended for themselves everyday.
After she finished pondering the life underneath the water, she replayed the events that happened just a few minutes ago. She sighed and closed her eyes calmly as she thought about why it had happened. Kimberly knew there was a reason for everything, kinda how she always wanted everything neat. When she thought of that she noticed a spec of dirt on her robes and wiped it off. ====================== Location: The Lake || Thoughts: My Robe is dirty || Company: No One || Crush: No One ====================== Outfit{OOC: Next Post at the Boathouse}

ℐirst 𝒴ear ❶ ℳuggleborn ❶ 𝒰nsorted At Jason's question, Alexander thought long and hard. From what he'd heard, he'd rather not be in Slytherin, and Hufflepuff mustn't get much notice if Jason didn't know about it. It seemed like Ravenclaw might be the best fit for him. Gryffindor sounded cool, but Alex doubted his bravery. His curiosity certainly was vast, however. Er, probably Ravenclaw, he began to say, and suddenly the boats began to move. Finally, he thought. He was dying to see the inside of the castle. As they advanced across the lake, however, his curiosity fell short of the absolute glory that he saw appearing before him. The castle looked stunning in the evening glow, and the lake added effect as the lanterns moved through the fog. The blonde boy couldn't take his eyes away from the sight, not even to glance at his classmates. Their expressions were no doubt alike to his own. The turrets and towers were the stuff of fairytales, the architecture ancient. All the castles Alex had heard about were old and run down, or modernized for rich families who couldn't limit themselves to a normal amount of space. This castle defied Alex' imagination. As they progressed he realized his mouth was open, as it began to dry out from the air. He shut it promptly, still in disbelief. A feeling of communion and awe still circulated as the boats pulled in to dock, and no words needed to be said. The boy simply glanced at his small group, nodded, and stepped out of the boat, offering the girls a hand out before following the group to their next destination. ❶ OOC: ❶Exit to The Boathouse

Catharine had pulled a shadowy girl routine. She wasn't sure if it had worked. Though most were taken with the conversations and making friends. Thus she was sure that her actions had been missed. She had even tried to sneakily step into the boat she had selected. Since none of the boats occupants seemed to have noticed, she figured she had succeed. Which was good since not to long later she heard the Keeper speak and then the boats begin their trip. Her stomach did a flip. On their way at last, yet it seemed bittersweet. She had wanted to stay with original friends, to talk to them as the full splendor of the Castle they'd call home came into view. Part of her hoped she hadn't been too rushed in leaving. She hadn't wanted to put a real strain on David, but the sight of him having to take pills just to deal with her had hurt. A lot. She just hadn't been able to bear the thought that she could have caused him such an annoyance. Her mum had always gotten out the pills when a report came from school. So she suppose she had a thing for people taking pills to deal with her. It was all up in the air now. She shrugged it off, she didn't want it to weigh her down. She need to believe that he would, or at least pretend to, forgive her temper. Sighing, she glanced up at the Castle again as it's full splendor shown down upon her. It was amazing and scary. She was so excited. [{o.o.C }]

oooPiera nodded her head politely at David's reply, though she felt as if he was just going through the motions. He was probably just distracted, as was shown when he immediately began glancing around for the girl who had left, Catharine.
Piera's smile faltered when she was told that she had messed up Kasdeja's name, but it returned when the red head said that she could call him 'Kas'. "Alright, Kas. Oh. If you're sure..." The half-blood girl said uncertainly before shrugging and tugging the offered mittens back on. Her mom had packed a hefty amount of mittens, gloves, hats and scarves to keep her warm, so she was sure she could spare one pair.
It was then that she heard a woman's voice call out to them all, announcing that they were about to leave. Now she was glad that she hadn't left the boat. Holding up the lantern higher to light the seats as the others climbed back in, but Catharine never came back. Piera hoped that she managed to find a seat on another boat at least so that she wouldn't get left behind.

Alexandria bit her bottom lip lightly in thought. What did mum say happens? She didn't always pay attention to her mother's stories about Hogwarts. At least, not the part about the beginning. What she found incredibly interesting was the magic. Since her mum rarely used it, she barely ever saw the fascinating power. Not unless she was with her dad. He always used magic. Whenever he got the chance, which was always, he used it. "I think we get sorted into houses," she started until Jason continued. The girl gazed towards the boy. He seemed to know quite a bit about the Wizarding school. "I kind of know how to fly," she muttered. The real trouble for her was to get her broom to listen to her. For some reason, no matter how often the eleven year would sneak off with a broom to go flying, she always ended up either falling off of it or the broom would crash into a tree or the ground. "I take it you're gonna try out for Quidditch?" Alexandria asked Jason. If he already knew how to fly, she figured the wizarding sport must have been something he looked forward to. Alexandria turned her gaze back onto Alexander when he asked about the houses and what they were. "Well, there are four of them," she started, but let Jason take over from there. It wasn't that Alexandria didn't know what they were, it was just that Jason seemed to enjoy talking and spoke no matter what. Why not let someone else do the job if it made it easier for you? When he admitted to not knowing much about Hufflepuff, the girl interrupted. "Hufflepuff is for everyone who doesn't belong in the other houses," she said, not realizing how rude that sounded. Wasn't it true? There were pretty much no other qualities left. If smart, brave, and sneaky, or as some people like to call it, "bad" was taken, what was left? Nice. Though nice was so vague that it could fit into any other house. Just then, the professor called for the journey to begin, and the boats began to move. Alexandria looked away from the three other students in her boat and stared out at the dark, seemingly endless lake. As they approached the castle, its reflection appeared in the water which forced the girl to look up. The view was absolutely breathtaking. Oh, oh, oh, it's m a g i c you know. Never b e l i e v e it's not so. ((OOC: Next post at the Boathouse)) It's m a g i c you know. Never b e l i e v e it's not so.

Tobi was right behind him the whole way, but Bradley remained silent with that same sneaky grin on his face at every question the taller boy spoke. "Well here we are." he said arriving at their spot on the lake shore. He slipped off his bookbag and began to unload everything. Setting the large blanket on the shore of the lake he began to place food on it. Smiling he looked up at Tobi in the moonlight. Wow. he thought as he saw how the moonlight threw his handsome boyfriends face in perspective. Smiling he pressed his lips to Tobi's before sitting on the blanket and patting the spot beside him.

You see, you'd love to run home, but you know you ain't got one Cuz you're livin' in a world that you're best forgotten When you're thinkin' you're a joke and nobody's gonna listen To the one small point I know they've been missing around hereRick sat at the edge of the lake, reading. His books were in his bag, and he had his Wizard Law book out. Well, his brother had said he needed to get out more. SO here he was, studying. NEWTs were a lot harder than regular level, that was for sure. He shifted in his seat against the tree he was using to be a wind break. It was cool, after all, winter right around the corner. He hated the thought of being inside where a lot of people were. The common room, while the quietest in the school, was generally still noisy from all of the people talking and studying. And the library, while quiet, had a lot of people in it. He settled back, trying to huddle more into his cloak, and read on. Well, if nothing else, maybe he'll get ahead, right? ---------------------------------- Location: The Lake Thinking: Quieter than in the Common Room... He watched as his boyfriend set up a small picnic area and couldn't help but watch as the moon's bright rays shined onto his raven black hair or the way it made his already dazzling blue eyes sparkle like diamonds. Damn, did he know how to pick them or what? The other must've been thinking the same thing since he was surprised by a soft quick kiss before being pulled down onto the blanket with a grin. Tobi sat down keeping his hand on his boyfriend's thigh making tiny symbols or patterns with his finger before grabbing a piece of fruit and offereing it to him with a smirk. ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ 'Cause you are, the piece of me, If our love, is tragedy, I wish, I didn't need Why are you my remedy? Muggleborn // Single // Chaser Caitlin trekked down to the lake. She was in her lazy clothing, sweatpants, a hoodie and socks. She wasn't really dressing to be seen, more to be comfortable. In her hands, a History of Magic textbook, a few rolls of parchment, a jar and scissors. The Gryffindor hadn't really planned on studying but she might need an excuse for something, so she brought a book along with her. If Cait had been paying attention, she might have noticed it was the one from her second year. She planned on making paper stars, something she learned to do over the summer. It was pretty therapeutic.
Caitlin sighed quietly when she reached the lake. She looked for somewhere to sit, when she noticed she wasn't alone. Rick was there as well. He seemed to be everywhere she went. Cait made her way toward him, "Mind if I sit with you?" Cait asked quietly, hoping he'd say yes, even if he was actually studying while she was messing around.

Cait stood there, with a book or two, and waiting for his response. He shifted over a bit, gesturing at the ground beside him. "I take it you're studying too? Well, have a seat. The tree's blocking most of the wind, so it's not so cold. Besides, I think I can figure out a warming charm to keep warm, I just have to find it in one of these books." He gestured to his own bag, stuffed with his coursebooks. He had planned on being out all day, and well, it wasn't like he wasn't used to skipping meals. His brother would kill him for it, though. "So, how're your classes going? I think all of mine decided to layer on the homework to see if I'd break again." He recalled that idea to tell her what happened to him in Music Club, but he didn't think she'd want to hear it. After all, if she didn't see him as evil, then it was better that way. The moment she found out his mother was a mass murderer, then all bets were off for how she'd view him then. He rubbed his arm, feeling phantom stabbing pains that he brushed to the back of his mind. He was always going to be haunted by them and he knew it. ---------------------------------- Location: The Lake Thinking: Quieter than in the Common Room... "Now we have all night to be alone, until we want to go back up for sleep." he said with a smile in the moonlight, He took a cup out of his bag and poured some of the butterbeer in it, He offered it to Tobi before pouring one for himself. "I toast to many years of love and happiness for us, right?" he said with a giggle. Smiling he took a sip and placed his head on Tobi's shoulder. Should I tell him now? Or wait a little longer? he thought as he stared at the moon.
"You know. Every special event we went to kinda was ruined. First the masquarade at the circus with that attack and then the whole Ball over the summer, where the host guy just collapsed." he sighed. "It got me thinking. We really needed some pleasant memories to look back on. And how much do I like you." he pulled away slightly and looked at the taller boy. "You're my best mate. And you also stole my heart. I want to be with you for forever." he said with a smile. "And I want forever to start." he said. And at that moment he heard the clock tower ringing out at the stroke of midnight. He chuckled. "Midnight. Perfect timing." he said gazing up at Tobi.

Muggleborn // Single // Chaser Caitlin smiled and sat down next to Rick. She nodded, figuring she might as well try. She held her sleeves with thumbs and opened her book. Cait went red as she realized it was her second year book. When Rick began speaking again, she looked over, "Pretty well, I suppose. I dropped a few of them that I was struggling with last year. But there is so much homework." Cait shrugged, silently debating asking for one of his books. But he was rubbing his arm. His left one. She frowned slightly, "Does it hurt? Your arm, I mean."
