Andreas caught the rope and, with the assistance of the crazy woman's present captor, tied her to a strong-looking stair rail. She was face-down, her head hanging out onto the stairs, with her left hand, behind her back, pinned to her right foot on the outside of the staircase; it took some time, but more or less completely immobilized her.

((You fall down a pit and DIE!
Okay, not really...maybe...okay, no.))

The woman struggled and put up a fight, but was eventually tied up and immobilized. She did not relent, however, as she began to attempt to chew through her shoulder to little avail, she was secure for now.

Ro stood, "Thanks, Now let's get going." he said as he followed behind Arthur.

Arthur emerged in large, spacious room. The center of the room was polished wood surrounded on all but the right side by a short railing separating it from several small, round tables sitting along the small pathways of unpolished wood. Each table had two chairs on opposite ends. The tables were covered in a simple, white table cloth and had a single candle and bottle of wine sitting upon it.

On the opposite end of the room was an elevated stage with a red, velvet curtain hanging above it. Towards the back of the stage were short staircases on either side. A short set of stairs led up to the stage on the left side of the room.

At the front ends of the left and right wall were two doors. At the left end of the railing was a matching gate. An identical gate was at the end of the railing by the staircase leading up to the stage.

Above the polished floor hung a large chandelier, similar to the others, large and crystalline.

The room was well-lit.

Ro stuck his head through the door, "Looks like a dance hall or something." he said.

((A diagram of the dance hall has been added to the "Locations" section.))

Henry waited until the others began to move before kneeling in front of the woman and pulling out the coin. He held it in front of her eyes until she noticed it.
Oddly, she calmed down when she saw it. At least, she wasn't trying to chew herself into pieces. Henry flicked it into the air and stood, snatching it as it fell. "Later," he murmured before following the others.

"Stay safe," Andreas called out sarcastically. Like he needed to tell them....

Arthur turned off the flashlight, but he still held on to it. Just in case. He headed straight for the stage; it was the only place Gregory could've gone around here. To get to the dance floor Arthur had to vault over the railing; he did so with ease. Once he approached the stage, he cautiously tried to pull up the curtains. If it was dark behind them, he would shine his flashlight into it.

((You remind me of someone with that statement, Foreigner.))

Serena stared in awe at the brilliant room that they had entered... A dance hall, huh, she though as she subconsciously grabbed hold of her camera and began taking a few snapshots of the numerous tables, the stage, the chandelier in specific. She almost had that childish urge to kick off her shoes and slid around in her socks on the polished wooden floors...

((Who?))

The curtain glided open, revealing the back of the stage. It was a little dimmer than the dance floor and the front of the stage, but everything was still mostly visible.

Ro hopped the railing onto the polished floor and made his way to the stage and climbed up it.

As she entered the next room, Monica could not resist grabbing one more bottle of wine.

((Yes, she is an alcoholic. sad ))

She surveyed the room carefully.

"The lights are on. Does this mean someone is home? Or maybe they like to waste power? Must be rich."

She slid behind Serena. She wanted to make sure she was near someone in case something went down.

"Are you sure you won't to mess around with the stage?" She was officially afraid of staircases. "This house is pretty large. He could have escaped anywhere."

Henry stood near the door, in case Andreas needed help. That, and he still wanted to watch the others get theirs.

((A guy I know. One of his standard responses is "Go fall in a pit and die."

Also, I don't like your character much, Joe. smile ))

Arthur let out a puff of breath. No sign. Nothing apparent. He climbed onto the stage, trying to find some sign. Blood, anything.

((Ah, I see))

As Arthur searched for a sign, what appeared to be a shadow glided down the left curtain and along the ground before heading down the stairs on the right of the stage. It moved silently and swiftly before vanishing through the door at the bottom of the short staircase.

As Arthur followed the shadow with his eyes, the sound of a door slamming shut on his left caught his attention as a man in the same state as the woman, emerged from behind the curtain. He was wearing dress cloths and was wielding a steak knife in a furious manner as he made his way closer to Arthur.

A woman wearing a tattered dress and holding a large candlestick approached Henry from the rear.

Arthur took a quick step back. No time to go for his own knife, at least not until he'd done a little damage. He wanted to get clear of this, but it probably wouldn't be easy. "Help, please?" he shouted at whoever had followed him - at least he wouldn't be alone in this fight. He needed to keep moving, and since this was where the odd ones were coming from, it seemed a decent place to start. He didn't attack, but waited for his foe to come nearer so he could club the man with his flashlight.

The man lunged at Arthur suddenly, stabbing and probing with his knife. Ro had made his way up the stage and intercepted the attack by stepping between Arthur and the man and grabbing his wrist and twisting it sharply, causing him to drop the knife. Ro then threw the man to the ground in one, swift movement.

The man hit the stage with a large THUD and almost immediately scrambled for the knife.

Arthur stamped on his arm and pushed the knife back a few steps, bending down to pick it up himself. "Thanks," he told Ro. Obviously his life had just basically been saved. He bent down to the man and took a swing with the flashlight at his skull.

Ro nodded, "Welcome." he said.

The man's head slammed into the ground, jaw first, from the force of Arthur's blow. He coughed and spat up some blood, but began to push himself back up. Before he got far, he decided otherwise and clamped onto Arthur's leg and tried to take a bite out of his calf.

((I've got work now, woooooo))
