Nevin was amazed by the look of the room. His heart was racing as he approached the stool. He closed his eyes tight hoping he'd get the same house that Cyrus will get.

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm shy, closed off, unsocial, pretty much anything that combined together would mean wimp...ya....I don't like to get into or cause trouble. My sister tends to stick up for me and it makes everyone laugh...she says I need to be a man and stick up for myself..but it's so hard to do sometimes... But if you asked my family they would say I am nice, smart, a big help when someone needs it. I tend to be more open around my family.

Levana smiled as she saw her brother enter the room. She was so excited about being sorted she couldn't sit still. Once her name was called she rushed to the stool.

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm Calm, cool, collected. I like to keep a level head in stressful situations and am not afraid to hurt someone if my brother or friends are threatened. I am a kind person who likes to be social and make friends.

Dante covered his mouth as he yawned. He knew EXACTLY what house he was to be placed in. He had always wanted to be in Slytherin ever since he could remember. That was were all of the elite witches and wizards went. Although he didn't like to flaunt it, Dante felt he was one of the elite.

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm Arrogant, conceited, and quick to anger.Oh and I have received cocky as a description of me except I can back up my cockiness.

John hadn't looked around much when they entered the hall, he was too shy to look any of the other students in the face. He stood thier quietly with his, seemingly more excited, classmates until his name was called. He hadn't looked around until he sat upon the stool in front of the hall and was amazed by the grandeur of it as he awaited for the feeling of the hat being place on his head.

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm usually fun loving yet shy but with a rarely seen dark side that only comes out when I feel extreme anger.

Layla stood staring around the massive room. "Wow", she whispered looking at all the students and the ceiling, where she could see all the stars.
It took her a minute to register that her name had been called. She skipped excitedly up to the Sorting hat. She sat on the stool, and the hat was placed on her head....

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm a very intelligent student, but very modest about my abilties. A kind, loving person.

A little scared to be separated from his new friend, Cyrus tried to focus on breathing and not running into anything. He found himself hoping feverently that Nevin would be in the same house as him. When his name was called he carefully moved up there. This was not a place he wanted to trip in.

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm a bit quiet but I don't always stay that way. I love to have fun even if that means sometimes doing things that'll get me introuble. I like to study and learn about everything I can. Sometimes I find myself day dreaming and tend to ignore people when I do that, so alot of people think I'm snooty because of it.

Lori Hansley was surprised. For the first time since she left her father in the train station she was nervous. She had made it so far without it really setting in. Lori had grown up in a large mansion that had been passed through the Hansley family for centuries, so she wasn't afraid of the humongous castle, and hers was a wizarding family, so she wasn't afraid of the magical ceiling or the fact that she was surrounded by witches and wizards. But there was something that made her nervous, almost twitchy. She wouldn't be the first one to get sorted, but she knew that she was about to be put into one of the four houses for the rest of her Hogwart's student life. There wouldn't be any changing, she would be stuck and she hoped that the hat chose the right one for her or else her school life would be down hill from here.

It was finally her turn. Her name was called and she took a firm hold on her kitten as a means to keep her hands still. Lori didn't want the other students to see that she was shaking, and if it looked like it now then she could always blame it on the cat. She took a seat on the stool and felt the sorting hat fall over her head. It was way too big and it settled over her nose. She sneezed before she could stop it.

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm cold hearted and strong willed. They say that I am selfish and I expect things to go my way. I'm not greedy, in fact I find having everything in excess is just as bothersome as having nothing at all. I am calculating, and play the cards to my advantage even if it means occasionally hurting someone along the way.

Icarus brushed the hair from his eyes, adjusted his shirt, and cleared his throat. This was the first time he had ever done this and he wanted it to go smoothly

"Good evening, as I call you up, please take a seat on this lovely stool," Icarus waved casually toward the stool, then lifted the Sorting Hat off it. He unraveled the parchment in his hand and cleared his throat again.

Danny came into the great hall and marveled at the roof of the room. He would be happy if he got into Gryffindor or Ravenclaw, though he would maybe enjoy Gryffindor more. He continued walking forward and saw the wooden stool with the sorting hat placed on it. He went up to it and sat on it...

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm a really studious yet laid-back person. Always making the top grade because of my high study habits. But I can be also pretty serious at times. I have also a high sense of curiousity, and likes to investigate things that pokes it. I am also courageous at all times, not fearing what might happen to me. I am also really shy when it comes to talking to girls, and sometimes about them.

"Adnan Roger Glenn Yahya!" Icarus called out, stumbling over the last name slightly. The student sat upon the stool and Icarus placed the Hat upon his head.

Daemon strolled into the great hall slowly. So this was the sorting. He closed his eyes as he sat down. His thoughts were mostly on how he wanted to be Slytherin, while a second voice in his mind said Gryffindor would be barable.

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm Cold and calculated, but with an underlying warmth that, when tapped, will ensure you a caring and warm friend with a twisted sense of humour.

"Daemon Sadi!" Professor Skylar was beginning to get the hang of calling out names. He smiled as the boy sat upon the stool. The Sorting Hat plopped onto Daemon's head.

“Cute is when a person's personality shines through their looks. Like in the way they walk, every time you see them you just want to run up and hug them.”

Caramel skipped happily into the Great Hall. She was as hyper as ever. She looked up and saw the enchanted ceiling she read about. It was bewitched, and right now it was dark blue with white, sparkling stars.

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm loyal, kind, thoughtful (although most of the time I act before thinking!), caring and friendly. My best friend Liza said I was hyper and adventurous... I do like exploring, but not that much. But I have to admit it, I am hyper! I might be also hard-working and non-judmental. I don't like being competitive and I am always modest on my accomplishments.

"Caramel Kingsleigh!?" the Professor looked over his shoulder to the Headmistress, to see if he was doing well. She nodded gently. He bobbed his head nervously as he placed the Sorting Hat on Caramel's head as soon as she sat down on the stool.

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm Kind, polite and not very talkative. I don't likes fighting over unnecessary matters and I will stand up if someone hurt my friends. I am happy making a lot of friends and I am getting angry when something is not in the right place.

Erin waited silently for her name to be called, surveying the four long tables that occupied a large portion of the room. Her eyes settled on the Ravenclaw table, and she tried to imagine her parents, much younger, sitting in those very seats. Would she be in the same house as her parents had?

Erin heard her name, and hurried up to the stool. She sat down, feeling nervous for the first time since arriving.

"People say that, in a nutshell, I'm intelligent, creative, curious, witty, inquisitive, friendly, and sometimes a bit dark. Always in the pursuit of knowledge."

"Erin Mooney!" the girl sat down on the stool and the professor gently placed the hat on her head.

Luna looked around the great hall, the wonder showing on her face. No one in her family, since her great-grandmother, had come to Hogwarts. So the stories handed down in the family had been exaggerated, or so she had thought. But now in looking at everything, she wondered her her ancestor and namesake had told it the way it was. If the stories of this place were true.... were there also really mermaids in the lake?

Luna looked up at Professor Duke and shuffled her feet nervously as she listened. Luna wondered what house she'd be put in. Her great-grandmother had been in Hufflepuff, or so the stories told. It was mostly a hush-hush topic in her family... all talk of Hogwarts was, but not cause people were embarrassed about having magical relatives... but because there weren't more. For some reason in the Knight family magic had been skipping generations. Before Luna, the last magical person had been the Great-Grandmother Luna. So now Luna had a lot to live up to.

She shook her head a bit to bring her thoughts back to the present. Other first year students shuffled around her, all looking as nervous as she was herself.


People say that, in a nutshell, I'm I am easily excited but around people I don't know, I'm very shy. I have a twin brother who always spoke for me growing up so I'm nervous coming to Hogwarts without him.

"Luna Knight!" Icarus watched as the girl slowly approached the stool. When she was fully situated upon the ancient stool, on the hat went.

shaking the head of Luna as well,
"I do remember a Knight, but it was long ago.

“It's beauty that captures your attention; personality which captures your heart.”


Lucy entered the Great Hall, stumbling behind the other first years. She never felt any happier. She's about to join the school where her sisters and parents went. She could learn and become an Auror, or something similar. She almost wanted to shout of happiness. Pan was rolled up in her pockets, his head looking around with astonishment. She heard her name being shouted and dashed to the stool, trying to control her knees as they shook wildly. 'In Gryffindor, please!' she thought, biting her lip.

People say that, in a nutshell, I'm funny, relaxed, moody and sometimes shy, but it's really rare. You'll probably see me most of the time with Pan, my ferret, or my guitar. Otherwise, I guess I'm very courageous. I ran away from home, see? And I don't know many people who had the guts to do that! I'm emotional, though... Don't worry! I'm tough, I guess. I lived on the streets since I was six, so you've got to learn to survive. I love adventures! Discovering new places and everything! I am lion-hearted and daring, I guess. I easily trust people, and I am very defensive towards the ones I love, so I'm ready to give my soul away to save my friends and Pan.

"Lucy Bonks!" Icarus recognized the name and tried to hold back a genuine Slytherin scoff. He put the Sorting Hat on Lucy's head.
