Name of The Leader: Kanjuchi
Name Meaning: Bee
Prompt: 3
History: Kanjuchi was born in a traditionalist pride where all the lionesses reared their cubs together, and there was only one male. He isn't a hundred percent sure who his mother is, but he knows his father. When he reached adolescence, he was 'kicked out' like all the other males. He's been a wanderer ever since. Then he heard about prides that worked a little differently than the one he was born in...
Prompt: Kanjuchi screwed up his face in an almost comical look of confusion and irritation. "Wow," he mumbled after the noble had pushed past him, "who peed on his breakfast this morning?" He knew about the pride's hang-up on colors, and the superiority of purple, and all that jazz... but that was just rude.
I wonder if it's too late to join the Groundlings, he mused, but not seriously. The Groundlings were nice and all, but Kanjuchi wasn't sure if he'd want to live with them. The Players were sort of a happy medium between the upper class and the faeries, and he often found himself in their company.
Ah, there's the rub! That got him thinking about their performances. Was there one today? Wait, no, that's still two or three days from now. Maybe he could catch them rehearsing-
And that's when the thought hit him. He laughed aloud at the idea, causing passersby to either glance at or pointedly ignore the odd newcomer. At least he wasn't causing any trouble...
"Hey!" Kanjuchi trotted over to a band of Players, "You got any purple cloth I could borrow?"
"Dare I ask why?" one of his friends said in a sing-song voice.
"No," Kanjuchi stuck his tongue out playfully, "But it's gotta be something I can see through."
The next day 'blessed' the pride with an unusual sight. That odd newbie was causing a scene. Kanjuchi had sheer, violet fabric draped over his head, covering his eyes.
Everyone who passed by him was greeted with politeness that came close to possible satire. "Why, hello, sir!" he said to a slave that walked past him. "What a lovely day we have, dear lady!" he said to a cub.
She giggled, "What're you doing? I'm not a lady!"
Kanjuchi gaped in mock surprise. "Oh! I hadn't the slightest idea," he made an exaggerated expression of contemplation, "Now I'm not sure why, but for some reason, I'm seeing all purple today." He grinned, "So," he said as if he were confiding in her, "I decided I'd better treat everyone like a noble, just to be safe!"

Reason: While quite new to the pride Kamau knows well of the struggles of growing up in the uncertainty of the rogue lands. So when he heard about the cubs he decided it would be in his best interest to take one in and help ease the cubs transition into the pride, as he knows what it is like to be a stranger in the pride, and together they would be able to learn about their new home and make new friends together. Plus what a great way to show his support of the pride, as well as look good to his king if he were to raise a cub.
