[EVENT] Hide and seek - Open!

Not finding any little leopards on one end, she decided to search on the other side. Kalua, the wild boar, made her way in that direction as stealthily as a pig could. She didn't want to get in the way of one of the searching leopards. A swipe from one of those big paws would definitely be able to take her out. If it didn't, she would have to make a run for it. Once again, she stuck her nose to the ground, sniffing for a cub. No luck here either. Where could they have gone? Perhaps the commotion was scaring them too.

Strangely enough, it seemed none of the leopards who were searching for the cubs seemed to have had any luck – and some of them were pretty loud. Jazi would’ve expected at least one cub to have been found already and instead no signs of success. His path almost crossed a boar’s but this was no time for a hunt and, unless he was gravely mistaken, he believed that boar to be in on the search. Perhaps it was a companion of one of the pride members? He’d seen stranger things before…

His voice soft, he resumed the search and tried to coax the invisible cubs out of hiding. If they even existed… They wouldn’t lie to him about that, would they?

Looking around, she spotted a little badger cub. Grinning, she let out a scream as she jumped down and pounced on it. Her claws were in and she didn't try to attack it yet, but it was enough to make the thing scream and start scampering away. There was a huge grin on her face as she moved to chase it. "Come back!"

She squealed when it dodged this way and that, almost not able to keep up with it. "I just wanted to play, come back!" Anina whimpered and whined the whole time, pouting and huffing. This just wasn't fair! She wanted that cub to play with her. Why did the world hate her today?

'Macaria this is boring,' his dark side thought loudly. 'Can't we just go back to the temple. I'm hungry and so are you. We need food. The cubs can figure out how to get back on their own, you know if they're not dead.'

He was starting to get annoyed with his other self, but he stayed calm. No sense loosing your temper at yourself. That would be pointless, he reminded himself. He decided to climb up a tree and glance around from a higher height. As he went on a fairly high branch he heard a cracking. Before he could do anything the branch beneath him broke and he hit the ground.

He wasn't hurt to badly. For sure he would be sore for a while though. 'Are these cubs really worth it?' his dark side asked. Macaria was starting to wonder that himself.

Kalua, the wild boar, looked at the bushes. Her snout and forehead wrinkling as she thought long and hard about whether to search there. It would be too easy for a leopard to kill her there without much commotion. They could see far better then she could. Their sense of smell probably better than her own. In the end, she opted to stay out of the lush greenery. Her best bet was out in the open at this point. She sniffed around some more. Digging at the earth but coming up with no cub once again.

When it ran back into the den, Anina groaned and rolled around in a fit of anger. Nothing wanted to play! "Someone just play with me, okay? That's all I want! I'm so booooooored!" Her tail flicked this way and that, annoyed and put off at the same time.

"Maybe I should have stayed home.."

Sighing heavily, the cub laid there on her side and just closed her eyes. Maybe all she needed was to change her plan of attack. That was it! She was being too playful! Not everyone liked playing right away. Maybe all she had to do was say her name and ask if they wanted to play!

"I'll try it!"

Kalua, the wild boar, looked back at the bushes. Maybe she could venture into it a little bit. Not too far in though, that might be dangerous. She mulled it over some more, watching one leopard start to lose their patience. They must have been searching for a long time. Carefully, she moved forward, her nose first, scenting for danger. Then she looked really quickly. Nope, no cub there. She also realized that she was being paranoid for no reason. Kalua let out a snort of laughter.

He was back deep in the jungle. His leg still hurting. He was careful to walk on it. When these cubs were found he would be sure to take a long rest afterwards. Maybe he would go relax in a stream or something. That would be nice.

'You aren't seriously going to keep looking until they are found are you? You're tired Macaria. Take it from me, you should take a rest. Maybe you could let me take a turn and look for a bit?' his darker side offered.

It was a tempting offer, but Macaria declined. He did not want his dark side running wild, looking for cubs. That would only end in disaster.

She rolled around a little more before getting to her paws. Now she was in a coat of dust and the blood sucking bugs would leave her alone! Grinning at how smart she was, Anina put her head high in the air and wandered off in a completely random direction. Getting lost wasn't on the agenda today.

Just for a moment the golden bird opens one eye and looks down on proceedings before closing it again. These cubs were too elusive for their own good and she had had, quite enough of searching.

It had seemed like a perfectly uneventful day for the half-emaciated leopard as he traversed jungle and open plains, desert and yet more jungle. Waiting either for the bindings that held his muzzle in place to finally break or for death to finally come and take him. Well.. death could certainly try anyway. Grudge wasn't going down without a fight. Nor until he'd had his revenge.

There was a reason they called him Grudge.

However a whole lot of commotion had caught his attention. The sights and sounds of many others of his species rustling around the underbrush. So far, they didn't seem to notice him which suited the cannibalistic predator just fine.

The cub kept wandering and wandering, going around in a few circles as she did. She was getting turned about and lost and she whined a few more times as she stamped her feet. "Nooo! This isn't supposed to happen!"

It was like something tugged at hear heartstrings. She turned from leaving and poked at a broad leaf. A little lizard darted out, but no cub. She grumbled and chased after the reptile. Maybe by some dumb luck it'd lead her to a cub?
