"Oh, that's perfectly fine." Sub said as he turned around to face the lady trainer as she entered the building. "I've heard a lot about the Glitter Lighthouse growing up in Ecruteak City. How is Amphy?" He asked, momentarily getting distracted by pleasantries. He was here for a battle after all.
"Oh, Amphy's doing just fine, thank you for asking. I was just checking in on her, making sure she hadn't gotten sick again. That medicine from Cianwood really helped. So, you're from Ecruteak, then?" She smiled before shaking her head. "I'm sorry, you're here for a battle, right?" Jasmine would begin to make her way to the battle field here, stopping part way there. "Um, well, as long as you're ready to go, at least."

Jasmine would begin to make her way to the battle field here, stopping part way there. "Um, well, as long as you're ready to go, at least."
Sub didn't say anything at first, instead he followed Jasmine to the battlefield, taking his side on it opposite of her. "I can remember when you used Rock type Pokemon. I bet Brock was disappointed when you made the switch." Sub laughed as he took out a Dusk Ball and tossed it onto the field.
"Dreigooon!" Roared the vicious beast as it appeared from its ball, flailing its 'head arms' around wildly as they itched to bite something.
"Brock was a bit disappointed, yes, but there wasn't much of a reason for there to be two Gym Leaders within the same Championship group to use Rock types. Though, when and how he learned of the switch shocked him a bit..." Jasmine took her place on the battlefield and brought a finger to her lips when Sub sent out his Pokémon. "I see. Big indeed. I suppose I'll start of with one I met while I was on vacation. Let's go!" Jasmine threw out her own Pokéball onto the field, her demeanor seemingly changing.
"Lucaaaaa!" The Lucario punched its fists together, staring at the Hydreigon as it took a stance.
"Start it off! Aura Sphere!" The Lucario would nod as its eyes began to glow blue, forming a transparent blue orb of the same shade in its hands. Lucario would fire off the orb at the three headed dragon unerringly, the light leaving Lucario's eyes.

"You gym leaders and your vacation captures." Sub mused to himself as the Aura Sphere was forming. "Buy yourself some time and hit it with a Fire Blast!" The Dark One said as he gave the order.
Valdemar knew what that meant and so as the Aura Sphere was launched it began to take flight. Even the dragon knew it could not avoid the Aura Sphere forever, it just needed to dodge it long enough for a good opening and that's what it was doing. The savage Pokemon would zip and flip through the air with the Aura Sphere hot on its tail, closing the distance between them rather quickly. The Hydreigon would manage to get a position above and behind the Lucario and figured it was as good as ever. As the Aura Sphere closed in Valdemar conjured from its main head a ball of fire which it would spit out at the Lucario, said ball rapidly expanding to form a large fire kanji made of flames. Right after it got the Fire Blast off however the Aura Sphere slammed into its side, sending it flipping around.
"Lucario, watch out! Extreme Speed into Flash Cannon!"
The Lucario would speed forward and dodge at least part of the Fire Blast, the lupine getting scorched on its bottom half. "Ca!" Its hands would glow silver before bringing them together and firing off a bright blast of energy at Valdemar.

The Lucario would speed forward and dodge at least part of the Fire Blast, the lupine getting scorched on its bottom half. "Ca!" Its hands would glow silver before bringing them together and firing off a bright blast of energy at Valdemar.

"Not so fast! Hit it with a Focus Blast!" Sub called out to his Pokemon.
The dragon would try his best to keep up with the Lucario, and it didn't well enough as it simply had to watch the Fire Blast and see where the Lucario hit it. Once the Flash Cannon was fired off Valdemar would instantly spit out a Focus Blast from its left 'head', the ball of Fighting chi slamming into and shattering the Flash Canon before continuing on its path towards Lucario. Unfortunately Valdemar didn't completely spar its self as it took damage from the shock wave of Steel chi created upon its destruction. *Pings Crystal*

The Lucario would nod, darting in and letting loose a barrage of punches and kicks at the Hydreigon, leaving himself vulnerable in the process. Hopefully, it wouldn’t come to bite him quite immediately.
There was no avoiding this one as the Lucario put out all the stops, endangering its self as it dropped its guard and went all out on the Hydreigon. Several kicks and punches later the battered dragon would fall to the ground with a hard thud, the savage monster subdued as it was finally knocked out.
"Not bad, Valdemar." Sub complimented his dragon as he recalled it to its Dusk Ball. "This next one will turn your world upside down." He smiled as he tossed his second Dusk Ball onto the field, the device popping open to reveal Ulalume the Malar, the squid giving off a spin tingling shriek as it appeared.
"Ulalume, Psycho Cut! Go wild!" The man ordered.
With another shriek Ulalume would launch its self towards the winded Lucario, front tentacles glowing with pink energy. As the squid closed in it would slash towards Lucario with its empowered tentacles, sending slashes of Psychic energy at it and once it got in range it would deliver a final physical cut.
Lucario would be knocked backwards by the Psycho Cut, barely even guarding against the attack. The last slice would knock Lucario away, with Jasmine recalling him before he fell onto the ground. "Well done, now you get to take a good rest." She'd nod as she brought out another Pokeball, throwing it out. "Well done then. Time for round two, I suppose. Now then, Magnezone! Thunderbolt!"
The Magnezone would come out immediately charging electricity in its magnets, sending it all out in one somewhat large bolt at the squid, beeping while doing so.

"Well done, now you get to take a good rest." She'd nod as she brought out another Pokeball, throwing it out. "Well done then. Time for round two, I suppose. Now then, Magnezone! Thunderbolt!"
The Magnezone would come out immediately charging electricity in its magnets, sending it all out in one somewhat large bolt at the squid, beeping while doing so.
"Superpower, Ulalume!" Sub cried out to his Pokemon.
Ulalume would begin to charge up energy, as such doing nothing to avoid the incoming Thunderbolt as it closed in and zapped it good, the squid letting out a shrill cry as the electricity coursed through its body. Once the shock treatment ended Ulalume would let out a wild shriek as a surge of brown colored energy explode out from its body, forming an aura around it. Using its telekinetic abilities the Overturning Pokemon would send its self flying into Magnezone bottom first, the squid's tentacles pulled in so that Ulalume was almost like an arrow head zooming through the air looking to stab into the Magnet Pokemon.
Once contact was made the Malamar would bounce off and land back on its side of the field, the energy disappearing back into the squid's body, causing it to swell up and gain more muscle mass, the effects of Superpower reversed thanks to Ulalume's Contrary ability.
The Magnezone would let out a series of beeps and fly backward as it was hit with the Superpower and while it was still standing, or hovering in this case, it looked a bit beat up already. Jasmine narrowed her eyes as she took in how the Malamar looked, seeming a bit stronger than before rather than tired. “Hm…” Her eyes looked around the battlefield, then she nodded. “Right. Nice shot there, now let’s go for one of our own. Magnezone, Discharge!”
The Magnezone beeped loudly before it began to rotate its magnets around, charging up electricity before letting it loose from its antenna on top in all directions. While Jasmine and Sub would be protected, thanks to the grounding rods near them on their platforms, Ulamame probably wouldn’t be so lucky. Also, something of note would be that various small lights would start to light up as the electricity hit the antennae around them. What this would denote was unknown at the moment, but something was triggered when the Discharge went off.

Sub would watch Ulalume get shocked a second time and while it wasn't as bad as the first one it did seem to have a secondary effect to it as his squid seemed sluggish, her movements noticeably restricted as the Psychic Pokemon attempted to shake off the zapping it just received.
"That didn't look good..." Sub commented to himself. "Let's keep up the assault, Ulalume. Show me a stage two Superpower!" The Dark One commanded.
Ulalume would summon forth its stored energy once again, its reserves greater than before thanks to the early Superpower and its Contrary ability. The signature cloak of brown energy would appear around the Malamar and just like before the squid would fire its self at the Magnezome bottom first like a (kind of slow) bullet, using its telekinetic abilities to propel its self. However, Ulalume seemed to be having noticeable difficulty in focusing as its muscles twitched and spasm from the earlier shock. Ulalume's assault was no where near as fast as the last one, however it packed more power behind it, and with the shock still coursing through her body would the Reversal Pokemon be able to complete its attack?

Magnezone would start spinning like crazy, but would not advance toward the Malamar. What was it doing? As it spun, it made note of its surroundings, marking each of the grounding rods surrounding it with Lock-On, as well as Malamar's position.
"Thank you for this," Jasmine said, smiling warmly at the Dark One. "It's been a while since I've been able to relax and enjoy a nice Gym Battle. I hope you're having fun, too!"
Sub scowled as he witnessed the Magnezone survive the second Superpower, surprised by its sturdiness. "That thing can certainly take a hit..." He mused aloud. It didn't matter, he was more than glad to continue to pump up Ulalume and it looked like Jasmine would let him. "I am indeed. But now let's make this more interesting...use Swagger!" The Dark one commanded.
The now muscle bound squid would eye the Magnezone up and down for awhile before shrugging its shoulders and turning away from it, looking back at it just once to flex its jacked up tentacle and make a comment about how weak the Magnezone looked.
