Blizzard120 SubonicXP "Of course, forgive me." Lavern said with a smile. "Might there be anything else i can help you with before you turn in, Blizzard?" She asked. "No, Ms. Lavern. I'm good." I said. "Thank you, though. You done quite a bit today for me and my Pokemon. I appreciate it. I'll be up a bit longer tending to my Pokemon before I go to bed." "Very well, I shall see you at dawn." Lavern said with a bow before walking away, leaving Blizzard to his own devices for the rest of the night.

As she left out, a realization occurred. "Dawn? Urrrgh, suddenly realizing why everyone went to bed so early. Ugh, I am not a morning person. Well Weavile, we might as well be ready for the morning, then. If what she and Wulfric were saying is true...then this is going to be a long day tomorrow." I'd spend a short while, tending to Weavile, then Telia, and finally Scizor before I'd finally call it for the night.

SubonicXP Dawn of the next day. "Master Blizzard, are you awake?" Lavern called out as she knocked away at Blizzard's bedroom door. "Breakfast is ready and laid out for you, sire." Truth be told I was awake. Barely. One would think being an apprentice of a Gym Leader that is set on older ways on doing things, such as later to bed and early to rise to get the most done out of one day, it shouldn't phase me. Unfortunately, it was something that I in particular in all my years of training could never get used to. I was never a morning person. Even a shower couldn't really wake me up all the way. Then again, cold showers never phased me in the least. I opened the door warily. At least I managed to get dressed, and in a little bit more appropriate dress no less, at least. I was dressed in the suit that was given to me by the store owner in Lumiose City. Freth suggested that I'd take it just in case. "Sorry to keep you waiting Ms. Lavern..." I said, rubbing my eyes.

"Either way, breakfast is prepared in the dining room." Lavern said as she pointed towards the small dining area in Blizzard's suite. "Furthermore, I have good news. I have a battle lined up for you against a fellow member of your class. I notified them to meet you in the ballroom."

"Either way, breakfast is prepared in the dining room." Lavern said as she pointed towards the small dining area in Blizzard's suite. "Furthermore, I have good news. I have a battle lined up for you against a fellow member of your class. I notified them to meet you in the ballroom." "Thank you." I said. I then perked up. "Oh this? Yea, apparently I have turned a few heads in this. Met a clothing store keeper in Lumiose City. He apparently just had to get me to try on things. As he put it, he never really gotten the pleasure of sizing up a hybrid before; perhaps them being so rarely found in the region." I said. "He was one of the few that was apparently a bit more open to the fact of having a hybrid around compared to most in this region." I sat down at the table in the small dining area and gave a moment to reflect a little then proceeded to eat. After getting a bite down, the next bit of news came forth. "Huh...really now. Does this person know what he is up against?" I asked, a bit curiously at that.

Another couple of bites of the meal then something occurred to me "You know, this does remind me..." I then looked back at Lavern. "How often do you, yourself, get to battle around here?" I asked. "Not often, sire. I usually only face other members of the help during our free." Lavern admitted.

I said, a bit concerned now. Yea, I am really committed to getting this woman out of here, if anything. It would also explain that why her Bug Pokemon in the end didn't seem all that strong. She had to rely on pulling a few stunts and try to hold on to the edge of me not knowing what Spewpa was capable of just to do some damage. I can't see how anyone can actually be put down like this. I thought for a moment then went back to breakfast. Sub pretty much picked the right one to do some damage around here... After a short bit, I finally finished the meal. "Thank you, Lavern. This was real good. I best not keep the people in the ballroom waiting though...uh...where...is the ball room anyways?" I said, rubbing my head. That was one thing I didn't really get accustomed to was where everything was at to this place.

Down the stairs...take a right...then another...one...two...three. I checked down the hall, behind and in front of me. "This seems like the place..." I said, opening the doors to the ball room. Blizzard would be greeted by once again another beautiful decorated room. The floor was finely polished wood with what appeared to be large deer-like Pokemon burned into the wood with vines and flowers growing around it and from it. The walls were covered with velvet drapes and yellow silk ropes. Hanging from the roof was an enormous golden chandelier with what appeared to be various elemental gems hanging from it, Blizzard could easily pick up on their chi signatures, the largest gem in the middle was not like the others however and had a much larger chi signature, odd. "Finally, you show." Blizzard's apparent opponent called out from the other side of the room, and it turned out to be none other than the young Comebuy. "I have a feather to pick with you." He said with a scoff.

"Ha, ordinarily your childish insults would have angered me, but not this time. You see, my feathered foe, after my defeat to you I payed my father I visit. A few months ago dear old daddy insisted I come to the chateau and work my way up through the ranks before I would be designated heir to his fortune. But even that challenge was not without a condition. No, he wanted me to start from the absolute bottom, to struggle. And so he demanded I start off again with one and only one Pokemon. The rule was I could only catch a new Pokemon after I rose a rank so as you can imagine climbing the noble ladder was difficult for me." Comebuy explained as he took out a Luxury Ball and spun it on his finger. "After I told daddy what had happened in our battle he was more than glad to lift the limitations on my journey here and permitted me to bring my real fighters into the chateau, just for you. You should feel so privileged." He said with a laugh. "You like the chandelier? It's very special." Comebuy said as he now looked up at the hanging structure, having suddenly changed the topic as he had noticed earlier that Blizzard was looking at it. "So, care to settle our score? No handicaps, no bets, just a fair no holds battle between two... equals." Oh how did that last one slither out of his mouth.
