Oh its ok! I'm just jumpy when people sneak up on me like that! And to be honest I thought for a moment you were some creep who was trying to hit on me or something. I almost broke your nose! She said in a chipper tone, acting like her almost breaking the woman's nose was nothing. Mai took a closer look at the girl, getting in her face again. She had big green eyes and brown hair, very suiting. Mai plopped her small hands on the woman's cheeks and gave her an intrigued look. Depressing.... She said bluntly, puffing her cheeks before letting go of the woman. Thankfully she seemed nice enough but she had this serious vibe. Mai would just have to be extra giddy and make the atmosphere even happier! Even if it was raining and she was soaking wet for the most part.
Mai listened as the girl introduced herself as April Shaye. April? That's such a cute name! So you gotta be just as cute as your name ok? She said, doing a slight twirl and doing a 180 spin. She placed her arms behind her back, locking her fingers together. And I don't hug random strangers! I have a knack for finding really nice people like you! She said, tilting her head back and smiling like a child. April seemed like a good person so why wouldn't she hug her? Especially after she put her umbrella over Mai's head. Hm...I guess you could say that I'm out looking for someone.... She said in a melancholic tone. Her smile softened a bit and her eyes lowered. Maybe today was the day she found what she was looking for? How could she take the chance not to look. ╚☯═══════════════════════════════════════════════╝ OOC:

Anxiety beat in her heart and pulsed through her veins. It reminded her of that pig back in middle school. Or those boys that cornered her in a closet. She vowed to never be a victim again and here she was, being a victim. She may not know how to fight, but she knows how to defend herself. Once the woman's hand was removed, she worked her jaw a little before looking into her eyes, "You're an idiot," she mumbled before headbutting her in the face and using her free hand to tear the woman's grip off her. "If you're gonna corner someone, don't give them room to move." Using a bit of her flexibility gained from dancing, she maneuvered around the crazy eye glowing woman and mad a mad dash for the ext of the alley.

Ah the loss...
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Her patience was getting the best of her. If this girl did not speak her last words soon then she surely would have to feast upon her right at this moment. Though Aleisha's wish had come true when the girl spoke and then so suddenly headbutted her. Her eyes closed at the pain in her forehead, where she then stumbled backwards with a douse of blood dripping from her nose. Clenching her face and growling, she reopened her eyes just to see her prey getting away.
Before the girl could get to the entrance, the vampire merged herself throughout the shadows of the wall. Gliding along like a leaf caught in the wind. Her eyes glowed throughout the shadows upon being on the wall and just as she neared the entrance, she pounced out and onto the girl, gripping her by the throat. "You insolent little b***h!" She held the girl up in the air with one arm before slamming her onto the ground. Shortly after she climbed herself onto the confined girl with both her legs locking on her waist. "You can't escape fate." She leaned down to her face, growling with her fangs extending even further. I've lost it!

"Ah!" she shrieked as she watched the crazy woman seemingly jump from the shadows. How was that even possible?! Suddenly a hand was at her throat, hoisting her off the ground. Immediately Devi brought her hands to the girl's wrist, trying to pry it off her larynx. She couldn't breathe! "Arē nahīṁ..." she cursed under her breath, or what left she had of it. Who had strength like this?! The Indian woman grunted as she was suddenly slammed into the ground. The back of her head hit the concrete causing her to become disoriented. Her eyes fluttered as the world around her began to spin. The body on top of her was a blur, but the same fear from when she was a child suddenly sprang to life in her. Her feet kicked under her and she clawed at the woman's hand. She just wanted her off! Feeling her lower herself closer, she tried gasping for air but that was becoming harder and harder to do with the hand crushing her windpipe.The blood vessels in her eyes began to pop, giving her eyes a bloodshot look. Squirming around under her, Devi whimpered. Even after all this time, she was still powerless to stop anything bad from happening to her. Squeezing her eyes shut, she tried to remove herself mentally from the situation but her fear, shame, hatred and overall lack of power prevented her from actually succeeding in that endeavor. ((OOC; Arē nahīṁ - an EXTREMELY loose translation of 'Damn' in Hindi. I had to use google translate =_=))

Ah the loss...
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Rage and lust for blood had clouded her judgement when the girl had so seemingly struck her in the head. She was going to give this girl a quick painless death but oh no she had to make it difficult for herself. Aleisha's eyes were still a red glowing, blood curdling colour. Every ounce of her mind told her to take every last drop of blood before the body would go limp. She released her hold on the girls neck and leaned down to her throat with both fangs still extended. "First I'm going to hurt you like there is no tomorrow, secondly I'm going to put my fangs into your frail neck and thirdly I'm going to drain every bit of blood in your body." Her words were sound and they had fulling rage inside of them.
Just as she could attempt to pierce her fangs into the others neck, sirens came blaring her way. "s**t..." Her eyes darted up as the flaring of red and blue came crashing her way. She glared down at the girl for a moment before pouncing off of her and into the shadows of the wall. She was not going to run, she would hide until the authorities would go. This however was a risky move. She couldn't stay hidden in the walls for too long so hopefully this would be quick. OOC: That would definitely be a pain in the a** to do.I've lost it!

She was already choking her to death! Fangs. Blood. Was this woman really a vampire?! That kind of stuff wasn't real! Devi had always had a normal, unassuming life...Well as normal as one could have. But she had never encountered anything supernatural before. As her neck was released, she began coughing violently, gasping for every single bit of air she could fill her lungs with. With her world spinning, she barely registered the sudden change in the woman's voice or the lights. All she knew was she felt a weight off her body. Rolling onto her side slowly, she continued coughing, a hand coming up to massage her throat. There would definitely be a bruise left from the vice grip. Great. Sitting up slowly, gasping and heaving for air and continuing to cough as she cracked an eye open to look at the red and blue lights. The migraine she had now only became worse with the bright lights. Thanks to the color of the lights, she couldn't help but think of Andrew and Damien. Her only friends on this whole island even after living here for a year. "..." she tried to speak, but her vocal cords hurt to much and all that came out was a scratchy sounding grunt. Slowly pushing herself to her feet, stumbling a little, she placed a hand against one of the walls to steady herself and balance herself. She needed to get away.

Ah the loss...
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Everything wasn't working out for her today. First she couldn't finish off her victim from earlier on, then the couple she attacked most likely called the cops to be on a look out for her, and now this girl she attacked just as well was getting away. This probably was the most frustrating thing she could ever cope with. Why can't she just clench her thirst without interruptions. Perhaps it was time she try and find a new source.
Her eyes watched as the girl stumbled up, barely able to even speak. She smirked to herself before closing her eyes and growling. The longer she remained in this form the harder it was to get out of it. She couldn't stay like this forever. It was only a matter of time of when she had to change back. "Grr...hurry up and leave!" She thought. If this girl did not go any sooner and drawn the cops away from here then she would have to try and make a dash for it. I've lost it!

Arillena Finished my last final today yay! : D text testext tex text text text text text txt text text texttex ttex text Kaden waited for the girl to stop playing her song. It was actually kind of relaxing, to the point that Kaden didn't really regret making his presence known to the girl. However, when she stopped, the feeling of nervousness crawled back towards him. She turned to him, telling him good morning. He blinked softly "er... yeah... good morning" he replied, trying his best to keep up a conversation. He never was any good with these types of things, but he had hoped to get better with some time and practice. He shuffled his feet a bit as he noticed the cat that was just there flee the scene. Must have gotten scared when it noticed that Kaden was there. Not the he blamed him, Kaden didn't have on of the most friendliest of faces after all. He ran a hand through his hair softly, as he noticed they were only a few feet away. At least she wasn't all up in his face, trying to be all cheery. That was the worst, Kaden liked his personal space after all. His attention snapped back up at the girl as she looked him over.
He waited and it was then that she asked him if she could help him, or if he wanted something. He blinked, he didn't necessarily want anything from her. He had just happened to stumble upon her. He ran a hand through his hair once more "I wouldn't say I want anything in particular with you... I just happened to be passing by and caught a bit of the music you were playing" he said, shrugging. At least he didn't sound like a complete a*****e this time around. He placed his hands in his pocket sighing "to be honest, I literally have no idea where I am... I just happened to go this way and bump into, thought it'd be rude not to let you know someone else was here besides you. You know how people can get" he said. It was true, sometimes people didn't like it when others listened in on their music. Kaden learned that lesson the hard way, and would rather avoid such situations again.

Her long raven hair curtained her face, wet from the rain and being held against the wet ground. "Miss!" a voice shouted in surprise. "Miss are you alright?" Devi slowly brought her head up to see someone in uniform standing in front of her, looking down at her. She couldn't make out a face because everything was still blurry. She must have gotten a concussion from hitting her head. Reaching up with a trembling hand, she grabbed onto the officer, who immediately helped her to her feet. "..." she tried to speak again, but she still couldn't find her voice. Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out her phone, "Take me home." She typed before showing the officer. He looked at her phone, then her and then the redness on her neck. "Miss, I think it's a better idea to take you to the hospital," he replied trying to calmly coax her in seeking medical attention for her crushed throat. "TAKE ME HOME DAMMIT!" she typed angrily, shoving the screen into his face. The man sighed heavily before nodding. Showing her to his car and radioing his dispatch, he opened the door for her, "Where do you live miss?" Devi looked to the alleyway before looking up at him and typing out her address. "1203 Pasadena." He nodded again and closed the door as she was loaded into the back seat, walking around to the driver side. Devi looked out the window of the car and into the alley. She would find a new way to work for a while. Hopefully, she never ran into this crazy woman again. Right now, she wanted to go home and...honestly? She wanted to see Andrew. She wanted to see her puppy. Tears fell from her eyes as a new form of disgust swelled within her. Curling up in the seat, she turned her gaze away as the car was started and they drove away. [EXIT]

Ah the loss...
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ The sound of sirens had now slowly started to die off. The girl whom she attacked was gone. Aleisha waited only a few more seconds before collapsing from the shadows of the wall, onto the ground in her natural form. Her eyes had gone from red to black for a moment. If she'd stayed in the shadows a lot longer then usual, her body would most likely be lost. Probably the bad side of using such a ability. She only wished that it could be controlled and prolonged whenever she switches into the shadows.
Coughing of blood had spat out of her mouth. It seeped onto the wet ground in front of her. "Damn it!" She held her chest as she breathed quite faster then usual. The adrenaline of what had happened, caused a stir in her mind and body. This would be one of those times where she had to slowly stop getting the urge to use her abilities. They caused stress on her body all the time. She raised herself up to her feet, blinking a few times as the rain swept down onto her.
She poked her head out of the alleyway where one of the cops had remained behind to snoop her out. Smiling to herself, she sneaked up to the soul and dragged him into the alley. Extending her fangs once more, she bit into his neck without hesitation. Her eyes closed shut and holding the guy still, she took every drop of blood from him. When she was done she kicked herself off his corpse and ran out of the alley and away from the scene. I've lost it!

April grunted, her eye brows stretching upwards. This girl.... how dangerous was she really? "Well, how fortunate for me." the words left her mouth, intertwined with uncertainty. Visiting the hospital, that certainly wasn't on her to-do list. Her attention was pulled away from her own thoughts and redirected solely onto Mai. "Uhm." one foot was already lifted off the ground, preparing for a quick retreat and to restore the personal boundaries the blonde had just broken. She never got the chance to do so-- at least, not in time anyway-- and no sooner had she placed her hands onto her face then she had uttered a single word. "Excuse me?" from such a short distance between the two, it was nearly impossible to ignore the way the girl's cheeks puffed out; though she it was true her mind was currently preoccupied with another thought. Depressing? Just what about her person was depressing? April pondered the word, turning it over in her mind and overanalyzing it, replacing the girl's hand with her own to begin rubbing at her cheek. "Just what about me is depressing?" she inquired, when her own hypothesis came up short.
My, how quickly the girl's demeanor had changed, especially when one took into account the few moments they'd spent chatting, and April was left struggling to keep up. "Cute?" she quirked an eyebrow-- maybe it was just best to leave her expression perpetually confused, it was her most reoccurring emotion at the moment-- "Well thanks... I guess." did she mean appearance wise or just a 'cute' personality? What did that even entail, she wondered. "You probably shouldn't... rely on that 'knack' all the time." she said finally, and her hand slipped from off her cheek to rub at the back of her neck-- only to find it covered by both her sweater and coat. Right. She hated the cold. "But, uh, thanks... again. For thinking of me as a nice person." Mai seemed to be a rather energetic girl. Which character did she remind her of? It was a tie between Lissa and Nowi. The brunette couldn't help but to frown lightly, head tilting to one side. The girl's spark seemed to have died down at the mention of locating someone. "I take it this person is important to you." she kept her lips parted, as if by some miracle more, useful, words might flow out. Nothing came, unfortunately, and the brunette was forced to shut her mouth.

She shook her head lightly at April's question and smiled brightly again. Enough about that! That's not important right now! What are you doing out here on such a gloomy day? She asked, following up her question with the same question. Not to many people seemed to be out and about in the rain so it was a bit odd for Mai to run into other people. Turned around to face April and leaned forward, giving her a smile. It's getting worse out here, Maybe we should head inside? She asked, trying to see if she wanted to get out of the rain. When Mai thought about it she realized that she had no clue where anything was around the city! A bead of sweat fell down her forehead and she gave April a sheepish smile. Eheh...The only problem is that I don't know where any places to go are...S-sorry... She said, scratching the back of her head embarrassed. She really could be an airhead when it came to such simple matters.
Mai cupped her hands and put them around her eyes, using them as fake binoculars. She started looking around, trying to see any shops or restaurants around. It was so hard to see in the rain though. Mai grumbled lightly and sighed in defeat, putting her fake binoculars down. Mmm~! I can't find anything! She complained, grumbling again before folding her arms under her chest.╚☯═══════════════════════════════════════════════╝ OOC:

April nodded, pushing the subject to the back of her mind. It seemed important. But she was in no position to begin prying into the girl's personal life. They had just met after all. "I need to run a few errands." she answered slowly, eyes flickering around the rainy scenario before them. "That's about the only thing that could get me out in this weather." the woman perked up eagerly, glad to hear that her companion enjoyed the rain about as much as she did. "There are a few stores around here we could head into." her sentence trailed off slowly as she tried to recall every other location she knew of.
April continued to run store names through her mind, through she found herself distracted by Mia's 'search'. Despite herself, she snorted in laughter. Though it was quickly covered up by the clearing of her throat. Merriment? No way. Ridiculous. She didn't laugh, at least not much. "I'm not sure you'd be able to see too far in this sort of weather." she mused. "If you're hungry, there's a Mexican restaurant nearby. Or, we could go somewhere else."
