rofl. You make me laugh sometimes, Xa44. To explain, I thought you were saying that I know racism in the same way that I know piano. (Not sure if that clarifies it or if that makes it more confusing, lol.) The comma acts as a pause in the sentence, so it separates "you know" from "racism". Think of it this way: my brain read it as "but you know all about that [racism], don't you?" And I was all like,
I figured that that simply couldn't be right and then I realized what you meant, lol.
Just to show you what I mean about how commas can change the meaning of a sentence, check this out:
With the comma, it's telling the baby seals to stop going to clubs, but if you take away the comma then it has a completely different message.
And don't worry, I'm not offended. (Never was! Just a little confused until I clued in, lol.)
