People can have differences of opinion without having to have right or wrong stamped on it, and that's the mindset I use when I debate with someone, about anything. Shikalee It wasn't you so much. I mean, you have, but not nearly as much as some people in here. SOME people can NEVER admit when they are wrong, fools, hypocrites, complete morons... No, she only said that about one post you made, and I agreed with her. Saying "you could never write like [insert name here]" is a tactic I've seen a lot of people use, and I always shake my head at it. Being a writer and being a critic are two completely different skills, which is why she told you that that argument wasn't serious. It's difficult to reply to something to that. Shikalee I am a paranoid person. It is a part of me, and it runs in my every vein of existence. But that does not prevent me from being a calm, collected individual. It's people who rub me the wrong way that make me flip. Now I know why I can't seem to get along with Verd. I hate people who enjoy the suffering of others. And hate is a very rare word with me when talking about my own emotions in a blunt fashion. People like that could die in a flaming death and I wouldn't feel sorry for them. Not that I think this way about Verd, but if she really is like that... It's hard for me to hate people on an individual basis let's just say that. Oh, I know that it doesn't stop you from being rational. But paranoia can cloud your judgement sometimes; if you're always expecting an attack, innocuous things can start to look harmful. But usually the majority opinion has a reason for being the majority -- George Bush probably got elected for a number of reasons, and rather than just saying "omg all those people are idiots", it's best to look at things. All I'm saying is that it's not going to hurt you to actually listen to what people are saying to you, rather than writing them off as idiots/mindless sheep/people who just want to hurt you. If several people are saying the same thing to you, what's it gonna cost you to listen to them and see if there's any truth to their words?
