Rune Seaker 3: Rise to Kings

Sogue felt power drip onto his lips, and he knew he needed it.
"Alright you abominations, you now exist only as my food." With the vampire blood within him, Sogue was back to his old self. He moved quickly as he landed, leaping forward and kicking a Shade in the chest. He latched his teeth onto the Shade's neck as he fell, taking a long gulp from his jugular. The pure vampire kicked and writhed as he was drained before going limp. Sogue stood, blood dribbling down his jaw and put 2 rounds into an approaching Shade's face. He crumpled.

The shades began to swarm again. Sticking together like a dark cloud sucking away at the power you where gaining. They got close enough to latch on to you and thrust you across the ruins of the camp but swept away in dodge of the firing. They hissed and clawed at you but never could get close enough.

Sogue needed to focus, he tried to cut out the noises and the anxiety he was feeling from the throngs of Shades. He needed to finish them off so they'd quit syphoning his power away. He blasted toward one of them, ripping through his thoart with his long nails as he went. He grabbed the Shade by the arm and hurled his lifeless and bleeding corpse toward a compatriot. Then Sogue took off. He started running and gunning in the direction of the swarm back toward Vivi. With the help of the front lines he hoped he would be able to feed himself enough to keep his energy up for the defense of the castle.

He blasted toward one of them, ripping through his thoart with his long nails as he went. He grabbed the Shade by the arm and hurled his lifeless and bleeding corpse toward a compatriot. Then Sogue took off. He started running and gunning in the direction of the swarm back toward Vivi. With the help of the front lines he hoped he would be able to feed himself enough to keep his energy up for the defense of the castle.

Thigns began to feel a little lighter. As though hope for winning this battle without even worrying about the castle would change the face of the war for the entire Omega force.The rise of kniga would support enough soldiers and force to over take Joa boo at his throne and anhilate his threats to the world. As you moved towards the front, enemy lines thined out and things seemed alot stronger. The shades gave up their chase the closer to the front line you got. They spun off back into the main build of the dark hand army still moving along the edge of the hill. For a second you could see all of the battle feild as every dark hand soldier truned to run back off towards their own side. Some screaming and others yelling in angry voice. They where fleeing

Sogue eventually made it back to Vivi, huffing and puffing for breath.
"Is it true, are they retreating?" Sogue asked the mage, exited.

Vivi looked to be focusing in deep thought. His mind else where for as if tracking the enemy to predict what they ahd planned.
"No there only getting out of the way." Vive saidjumping up into a rampage yelling for the line to back up. Vivi's vision was correct and as soon as he truned to run back for the castle a beam of energy fired along the lines, disipating the men standing gaurd for the next attack. Their bodys cought fire and then crumpled to the ground as ashes.l About 12 of these turents had been set up and huge towers full of Oriens and dark kinght of all evil kinds pushed forward. These massive movable building would over crowd the castle in minutes and where being pulled along by massive trools and giants. Each one armored up to the max and moving slowly forward to the castel. The beams took a second to cool down and then fired another round, freeing room infront of the towers.

Sogue stared at the oncoming agressors. He glanced down in Vivi's direction.
"What would you have me do?"

Sogue stared at the oncoming agressors. He glanced down in Vivi's direction.

"There is nothing in our power right now. We could force our power on theoase turentss and take them down but then theres those towers that seem imposible."

An idea unfurled in Sogue's mind.
"What about hijacking the turrets and using those on the towers?"

"thats it," Vivi said jumping at the idea. he loved it and praised Sogue for the thought.
"That sounds like a job for you, but hurry we have not much time....take what ever you may need."

Sogue thought he might be able to use Vehemoth on this one. At least to distract the other turrets.

"You have any idea where I could find the Big Guy, Vivi?" Sogue breathed, hacking away at an over-zealous Shade.

Vivi spun aroudn and threw Sogue a blue fether that aparently was attatched to Vehemoth if there was any need to sudenly get to him. It was now Sogue's and would take him right to the giant, who was still amoung the middle of the battle feild putting up a great fight.

"Vehemoth," he said cooly, stabbing a foe in the face, Orien by the looks of him.
"We're going to take down those towers. I need your help, old friend."

Sogue sheathed his weapons and grabbed the feather in between his two fingers. He closed off all other thought and focused on the feather's power, feeling it bubble onto his fingers. The feeling swept down all over his body as an image of Vehemoth melded into his conciousness. Suddenly he was gone.
When he opened his eyes he saw the feather crumble.
His thoughts branced out as a blade narrowly missed his face. He ducked to the side, drawing his daggers. He felt a large prescence behind him.
"Vehemoth," he said cooly, stabbing a foe in the face, Orien by the looks of him.
"We're going to take down those towers. I need your help, old friend."

"What towers," Vehemoth said as if he had no idea of his suroundings. he thrusted forward and tore a group in half by lifting the blade stright into the air as the victomes on it slid down the balde to deepen the wound. their bodys crumbled as he threw the against the wall to clean his blade and continued the spin to knock off a few heads.
"What is it you have planned, you have my blade."

Sogue leaped up onto Vehemoth's shoulders, feeling somewhat foolish. He rotated his head, then slapped his shoulder.
"That way! Carve a path!"
Sogue lept down, preparing to follow in the wake of Vehemoth's onslaught.
He felt himself missing Helena. Not only could he use her skills now, but it would be nice to have her nearby, somehow...
