I've read the first chapter of Midnight Sun and yeah, I do understand why. But if I were one of his classmates I wouldn't know why he's like that and I'd just assume he's stuck up and full of himself.

okay... here i go on a rant...

seriously? i'm proud of you! i really am! you my friend, have pushed the boundries of reading and made twilight a unisex read. well lol i guess. but look at Harry Potter or The golden Compass or any of those obsessed about books! girls read harry potter, as do guys! in fact before reading twilight, i read another vampire saga called "Vampire Beach" (really good set of books too) and the main character was a guy. his girlfriend was a vampire XD lol so yeah, don't worry if someone tells you that twilight is only for girls, cause they probably haven't read it and don't know how awsome it actually is. in fact if someone bothers you about reading what you like to read anymore print this post out and shove it in their face then tell em to shove it where the sun don't shine!!! *pant pant pant* i'm tired now... XD

Epitaph of the Twilight

I'm a boy, and slot of people say it's wrong for a boy to read Twilight and New Moon, but I read them, and enjoyed them. Do you think it was wrong for me to read them?

It is not wrong. No no no! What is wrong is for people to say you were wrong. Books are for everyone and if they judge you, all you can say is "Go To Hell."

Porn is mostly for guys, is it wrong for girls to watch it too?

Sports are mostly for guys, is it wrong for girls to play?

Dance clubs are mostly for girls, is it wrong for guys to want to do it too?

So, just ignore people! They are gay and insensative. :p

And how about we avoid using the word 'gay' as an insult? I take offense to that because it's just mean, especially to those people who are actually homosexual. I have nothing against guys reading Twilight, I encourage it in fact.

I don't think it's wrong for guys to read Twilight.

I don't like how in my school, if someone sees a guy reading Twilight, New Moon, or Eclipse they automatically assume that they are gay. It's annoying how people jump to conclusions and assume things that are probably not true.

On the contrary, I'd say that reading Twilight when you're a guy is wonderful. So few guys appreciate good books these days. *le sigh*

Plus, I realised a while ago that I will never find love after reading Twilight because my standards are now way too high. Maybe if guys read these books, they'll bring up their standards a little.

No, in fact I think more boys should read them. They aren't just chick books.

I have a few things to say, and I know I am going to speak out of the norm, but he's asking for advice.

It's not wrong, it's different. The book is a girls' fantasy book. It's almost how pornography gives men this idea that all girls look like that naked when in reality less than .05% actually does.. Well, this book is a girls' porn. For a guy to read it, definately isn't wrong, but it is kind of like a guy watching a porn for the guy.. BUT to me, you're watching the porn to learn from the guy.

Wow. I'm going the wrong direction with this.

To me, it's a learning experience for any guy who reads the book.

How do you become an Edward? Well, my friendly boy, read the book.

If you are wondering if it makes you gay to read the book, no, not at all.

The man I will marry will have to have read the books simply because he will not know what kind of man I want if he does not. smile

All in all, props to you, all of you guys who read Twilight. A better man to make of yourselves, indeed.

I think a guy not reading Twilight because it's a "girl book" is like a girl refusing to play Halo because it's a "guy's game." Although Twilight usualy appeals more to girls, it's not really a girly book. It's an awesome book about vampires. Just like Halo's an awesome game about killing aliens.

So there you go. Read and enjoy!

I don't mind if boys read it, as long as they don't have any crushes on the Cullen/Hale boys. xd

I would like to add:

Just because it doesn't have much action in it doesn't mean that it isn't suitable for guys too! ^_^

My boyfriend LOVES the series! When he started reading it, he was reluctant, because the beginning isn't about vampires, it's about Bella liking Edward and how awesome Edward is.
Once he got further and learned about the vampires, he was hooked. He bought Eclipse before I did..
