She nodded her head and hurried to meet his stride. "Honestly though, you must have had a green thumb before this life. That's really very amazing," she said, once she'd caught up to him.
He smiled, proud of himself, but not smug, "I was an avid gardener. I would tend to the gardens of the nobles--very exuberant. They never seemed to take the time to admire the flowers, however..." As he walked, he plucked a single leaf from the hedge and held it in his open palm. He smiled as he watched the leaf grow a stem, several other leaves, and then a red bud that blossomed into a perfect red rose, no thorns. He held the rose out for her as they came to a stop, the maze forking into three directions.

She smiled shyly and gently plucked it from his fingers. "Thankyou, it's beautiful," she said. And then realizing they had come to a fork in the maze she said, "So what is your intuition telling you about this? Right? Left?Center?" Each choice seemed to turn into a long path that went on for miles. They were all very dark, she noticed. And then cringed a little just thinking about it. Even as a vampire, a fear of darkness had never faded. Although, here with him, she wasn't alone, she still couldn't shake her fear of it.
He looked at her, smiling. Her emotion had played onto her face as she looked into the blackness before them. Slowly, he began walking toward the left, his head reluctant to turn forward, away from her.

She looked at his back walking down the path to a left for a moment, and then followed very closely behind, afraid that if she didn't she might lose him, and then she really would be alone. "How long do you think this one will go on for?" she asked him, not able to keep a hint of fear out of her voice. Even through the window in the house it was apparent that if they took certain paths it would lead them deep into the woods that were just beyond the garden. And more trees meant more darkness, something Raine knew she might have a tough time handling.
As they walked, the darkness seemed to thicken, the sounds of crickets becoming louder, seeming closer. "Not too long," he said, hearing the fear in her voice. Because of his ability to manipulate plants, he could sense where they were. They were going to head deep into the forest.

She heaved a sigh of relief and then said sarcastically,"Not that I was worried." She could hear crickets making those noises that are oh-so-common on Summer nights. "Can you imagine this place in the daytime? I'll bet it's gorgeous,"she said.

"Yeah, you're right..." her voice trailed off as she took in her dark surroundings. The forest seemed to be tinted a navy blue color, what with no light. But it was sort of unique in a way. A beautiful way, if she was willing to admit there were a few things darkness was good for. Which she was, now that she thought about it. "It really is." She tossed her long black hair over her shoulder and looked up at the little spaces of sky that were visible through the treetops. "Now the only thing Forks needs to work on is it's lack of stars." Even with the great eyesight that came with being a vampire, the stars were almost non-existant.

She gave him a soft smile. "Sorry, nature tends to sidetrack me." She gave a brief glance in the direction they had come. The lack of light set off a small alert in her mind, but not enough to send her screaming down the path the way they had come, like she probably would have had she been alone. As they walked further, the light faded more and more, and the trees seemed to be getting thicker and taller. She looked down at the flower in her hands, which had bloomed in only a matter of seconds. She let her eyes wander over to Emilian, who was leading the way now, deeper and deeper into the forest.

He raised and eyebrow. "Alright." He smiled as they continued on. Almost suddenly, a massive amount of tapping came from above them, the rain hitting the leaves of the trees. The rain never hit them, however, as he had the trees move their creaking branches to catch the drops as they passed underneath.

Karissa spent the weekend househunting. Although renting had been ideal when she'd first come to Forks, the owners of the upstairs apartment were coming home soon. She wasn't quite sure if she could trust herself living so close to humans yet, on a full-time basis.

Arianna spent the weekend inside, mostly reading. It was raining at her place so she couldn't really go anywhere. She also watched tv for a bit, but that soon became boring so she also called her cousins and other various family member who lived in Ohio.

Smelling vampire, Rachel followed the scent untill she found someone, a girl, househunting. Pretending not to pay to much attention to the girl, she listened in to the realtor's speeches, she did need a house to stay in, come Monday, she would also have a school to go to.
