Darksol88 Blizzard120 Bugsy made his way through the Pokemon Center, looking around for a moment until he found Ryan and Aden there talking to each other. He took a deep breath and then walked over towards the two. "Uh, excuse me...Aden...you got a minute?" He asked. "Huh? Uh.. yeah, sure. is something up?" Aden asked. What was this about, he wondered. "Yea, uh...look, I'm sorry for how I was during our battle..." He said. "It wasn't me...shouldn't have been me, rather..."

"You got upset when things weren't going like you were hoping, right? Yeah, you're not the only one that's gone through that." Aden said. "And if Blizz said anything to you, you're not the only one there either. Don't worry about it. I think we all get caught up in things more than we'd want. I know I have."

Ryan soon finds Blizz, looking worse for wear. "I take it you spoke with Bugsy? " Ryan says as he sits down across from Blizz.

"Oh yea." I said. "Trust me, I am not very tolerant to bull crap like that. Especially when it comes from someone in Bugsy's position." I said.
"So you were the same, I guess." He said, sitting down across from Aden. "It must have been a bit brutal having Blizzard for a teacher."

"Can't blame you. What I saw in Bugsy today was something I have never seen in a Gym Leader. Hopefully you got his head on straight. " Ryan says as he finishes off his Coke.

"No more brutal than this whole thing's probably going to be. But I don't have any regrets with it. He's helped a lot before I finally became a trainer, still is. So if I was to up and quit or something like that... well, he'd probably do to me what he must've done to you." Aden answered. "As for how brutal... well. Look at this way, you know him better than I do. I think if there's any answers, it'd be right there."

"I think I may have." I said to him. "Bugsy...well, jelousy played a role, as I suspected. I think it was also pressure that got to him, and not the pressure from battle. It was more of the matter of living up to expectations, I guess, and being out classed by apprentices, those under the gym leaders, doesn't look too good on him. Some things you cannot help though. I basically told him forget it and just go on his own speed for the most part."
"I know quite well on how Blizzard tends to be...though..." He looked back for a moment. "Cold as he always have been, there's a different air about him I can't quite place...I can only guess its him being away from the gyms all this time since last year. Its something that's not too dissimilar now. He's only been away from the gym system for a long period of time only once before and he changed a bit after that ordeal..."

"And how was that? Like I said, you know more than I do. I've only ever known him as he is now." Now he was a little curious.

"Was talking with Aden just now. sounds like the kid finally understood what you have been preaching to him. I still worry though, confidence he does have, but the next Gym , after the events of the past two, is going to be a wake-up call for him. " Ryan says to Blizz.

"Well, as if the first couple of gyms weren't already a wake-up call...Whitney will surely mess with his mind for certain. No doubt about that...and whenever he does make it through Whitney...he's going to be fighting the Ecruteak gym proper...no exhibition matches for him this time." I told him. "Which means he really is going to have to exceed expectations with Kristy and Morty when he gets there..."
"Well, Blizzard was a bit on the cocky side. Mind you this is years ago, before he even became a hybrid. Then an unfortunate incident happened and well. Apparently he was beside himself for a good year. Upset. Hardly ever battled if at all. He almost lost his apprenticeship over it, that is, until something happened in Mahogany Town which would rub anyone the wrong way, but it really REALLY rubbed Blizzard, which made him go from emo to just many forms of pissed. Not to mention determined. And a newfound sense of purpose for that matter. Something that he kept throughout that ordeal and afterwards. What kind of helped is probably the Pokemon he met along the way in the meantime. That Zangoose for starters...a Scizor...Typhlosion...all of them he still has today." He said. "They helped him through it. Its also just one of many reasons why he's probably one of the toughest trainers in the region."

"...Okay, I could do without being in Blizz's head like that." Truthfully, Aden was a little stunned. Blizzard cocky? Beside himself? And it took some large event to snap him out of it? It was a little.. well, humbling. He'd never have guessed Blizzard to be anything like that. Not that he had much room to talk.
"But no wonder stuff like that rubs him like it does. And why he's gotten on both of us for it."

"Aye. And from there you Have both Chuck and Jasmine. Neither one an easy fight. Then of course, you have the two most experienced Gym Leaders in all of Jhoto: Pryce and Claire. It is daunting when I look back on it." Ryan says to Blizz.

"Chuck...mileage may vary. Jasmine? Oh God...that seems to be the killer to Aden right at the moment are steel types. Falkner threw Aden off his game with a Skarmory, and I noticed that Aden at first was hesitant against his Forretress until he got Raticate's Super Fang off, which would pierce such defenses. While finding bypasses is all well and good like that, he needs some of his woes eased in the long run, because Jasmine sees stuff like that coming from the get-go."
"Well, I dont know all the details." Bugsy told Aden. "Really. what I just told you is just the sum of it. As far as I understand, what Blizzard went through before he met you...it wasn't exactly pretty." He explained. "I really don't know how Blizzard makes it through the days like he does sometimes. It's almost hard to read him anymore. He used to be a bit cut and dry at what he does...but...well...I dont know." He shook his head. "Maybe its nothing. Things happens, as I imagined did over the past year..."

"Yeah, as soon as he can get his hands on a fire-type, he better. and also level that thing like crazy so it is evolved. Jasmine will overpower any other type...especially with that Steelix of hers. " Ryan says.

"Yeah, really. It's probably better you didn't see how I was before now. I doubt it was much prettier." Aden spoke up. "As for reading him... even if I could, I don't think I'd want to be in his mind. It's probably too cold for anyone but him."
