Well the question you need to ask yourself is what do want in your pet?

I want a pet that I can hold that doesn't mind being held and will be affectionate sweatdrop

Hmm well that can be a bit tricky. A lot of that can have to do with the general nature of the animal. For instance some cats like to be held and cuddled, other's just like to be petteded occasionally. Most rodents don't like to just sit round and be cuddled. They would prefer to get the chance to walk around in explore. Ginue pigs are fairly good at just plopping so you could try them. Heck if all else fails just give them a bowl of veggies and they will sit with you for hours. They are a little on the skiddish side though. Maybe a bunny. <.< Not sure never had one myself. Would be soft to pet. rofl

I'll do a little more research then ^^ See what I can have and what's right for me

Get a dwarf bunny. I've had regular sizes and they're not very affectionate and tend to be more skittish, but our dwarf mix right now is very good. Sometimes he will bite, but that is when he's nesting, otherwise he's good.
I loved my rat. He could sleep in my bed pretty much every night, he spent most of his time out on my shoulder and nestled in my hair. If I didn't want him to pee on me, then I just draped a rag towel across my lap or shoulders.

Meanwhile, mantises don't pee and have really small poops. And many love human attention and being held, and leaping onto your face to give you buggy kisses.

Makes enough sense. I might look into that. A bunny was my second choice >>

And Kriss, how long to mantises live?

Depends on the speices most somewhere between 6months to a year.

The species I have, Chinese mantises, live normally around 7-9months. It's just so painfully short. *snuggles her baby mantises*

I'd probably only be able to keep a mantis through the summer, and late fall it'd probably not survive the cold ;-;

I have an odd question. Has anyone ever heard that bunnies kill their young?

I ask because my mom was watering and scared three baby bunnies out of their hiding place. We caught them and dried them off, and tried to find where to put them. In the process, one decided to dash off under one of my my neighbor's plants, and they have a dog so we wanted to get it back. My neighbor's girlfriend or something came to help me fetch the little bunny, and then said if we'd touched them the mom would kill them. We couldn't find their home, only a couple partially dug holes. The lady then said that once thier eyes are open the mom abandons them and they fend for themselves so it'd be fine if we just let them loose anywhere in the yard.

She says she's a vet tech....but some things she said sounded kinda off. And really, caring for domestic animals and caring for wild animals are very different, so I don't really know how much she learned about wild bunnies. It's just been bothering me.

Well, I'm had a great day today.

I feel like I've failed my Specialist Maths outcome and my English outcome. And as bloodly normal, my mother isn't helping. I've now had 2 nervous breakdowns (one caused by the outcomes, the other by my mother) and my entire family is pissed off at me. They saying I should have finished the bloodly specialist maths outcome. I'd like to see them complete that outcome, only 3 people in the class finished it, and most students didn't even do the amount I did (about half of the outcome).
I'm just so angry currently, my mother said when I was in VCE she'd support me. BULLSHIT. She's attacked me verbally time and time again. Each mark I get back she says I should have done better, unless of course I get 100%, and then she doesn't give positivity, she wants me to go do more study. I'm ******** sick of this. This is why I want to move out, to get away from HER.

But on the plus side I got 100% on my physics test. The topic was Electronics and Photonics (my favourite topic).
