Drake smiled and returned the favour. the mass of bodies in the club made it quite warm, and the coziness made him feel a little drowsy, along with the soothing buzz and rumble of female and male voices around them.

Koko sighed happily at the returned affection. She moved to give him a kiss on the lips-tasting the whiskey and resisting the thought of strandling him on the chair. She wasn't intoxicated enough to do that on her own with so many around. Not that they would probably be paying attention since there were a couple of females in similar positions. However anyone who did notice would coin her as a cougar if they were local and then the gossip would start.

Drake smiled and kissed her back. Things seemed to relax so much when he was aroudn Koko and they could just be with each other. It was the first time in a long while he was genuinely happy without having to force it or rely on the instant gratification of addictions.

Koko took her now usual position of leaning a little into him and resting her head on his shoulder. Occasionally she gave another kiss or two...even once being daing enough to tug down at the collar of his shirt to give him a hickey. Not that it would last long with their healing capabilites, but it still gave her some amusement.

As she slowly relaxed in the surrounding.....more so because of Drake's comfort-a waiter stopped by and offered a recap on their beverages.

Drake laughed as she gave him the hickey, running a hand trhough her hair again. as teh waiter arrived he smield and nodded.
"anotehr whiskey please. Koko, what do you want?"

"Whiskey tastes alright," Koko mumbled referring to the kiss from moments before. Assumming that was two orders of whiskey the waiter nodded and disappeared. A few minutes later their drinks arrived.

Drake smirked.
"Oh really? I wonder where you got that taste from." he said, pulling her in for another quick kiss.

Koko had just taken sip of the drink when Drake pulled her in for the kiss. She was surprised by the different sensation....seemingly to share the drink through a kiss gave a whole new type of intimatency. When the quick kiss ended she wiped away a bit of drink at the edge of her mouth.

Drake chuckled again.
"mhm...nice whiskey." he said with a wink

Koko blushed. "Yes...quite," she replied simply go forth another swig to calm herself down. However alcohol had that tendency to make one feel warmer...... She pulled her hair off to one side to cool the back of her neck and tug lightly at the collar of her top.

Drake watched her fondly and then turned to try and eavesdrop on the conversations around them.

Meanwhile, Tristen led Mason and Lillin on her hunt to track down the vampiress' scent. She caught a whiff off it at around the same place as the night before, although it was much fainter. She was sure there was a stronger scent there on top of it, which confirmed her suspicions. After some considerable effort tracking it down, she came to Koko's shop where the scent was strongest.

"hm."
She took a few circuits of the house and then looked up to see one of the windows open a crack. She smiled and started to climb up the drainpipe, intending to break in. Halfway up the house she looked down to Lillin and Mason.
"i'll hide out here and see if she comes back." she said. "Meanwhile, why don't you keep an eye out for any feeding habits? she should be stalking public places, like maybe parks or bars or supermarkets."

with that she pulled herself up and slunk through the narrow opening in the upper window, glad that she died relatively skinny. she landed with a thump on the floor.

The thump caught Yoki and Bly's attention. Yoki curled around the pups protectively while Bly headed up the stairs to investigate the source of the sound. Silently and cautionly he ascended the stairs. Once he reached the top he paused to sniff the air and gave a low growl in warning....

Koko circled the top of her glass with her finger as bar continued with its livelyness.

Tristen froze as she heard the dogs and cursed under her breath. She crept into the shadows, looking for a closet or a loft to hide in. She moved into a bedroom and looekd about a little desperately before inching under the bed, re-closing teh door to prevent the dog coming in. Once under the bed she sighed and thumped her head a few time son the floor.
"idiot idiot idiot." she grumbled. she could usually fool humans with a little talent and special abilities, but animals were notoriously difficult.
still...
She waited and looked satisfied with herself when the vampire smell hit her again, but she was surprised to find there wasn't just one. It was pretty strong.
"interesting."

Bly followed the scent to the bedroom only to find the door closed. He pawed at it. His low growl continued and added in several loud barks. Realizing he wasn't getting in he settled up against the door and laid down to cut off an escape route from the intruder.

Tristen sighed as she heard the dog at the door and noticed form the shadow under it that it wasn't moving. She's cut off her escape route through moving into this room also and so she had little else to do but stay put and confront them.
realising the inevitability she crawled form under the bed and flopped on top of it, putting her arms behind her head under a pillow.
"hmph."

Drake caught a few snippets of conversation - the usual, work gossip, bar bets and the occasional flirt. People never seemed to change. the only difference was one guy showing off his new 'iphone', whatever that was.
