"What's going on? What did he say?" Nix said with a peaked interest, "He didn't notice m- He didn't get harmed, did he?" he asked as he watched Eliza walk over. Then, he thought Although, my life would be better without the guy...I wonder if I should gather more of his teeth for some armo...This is exactly how it started last time. I should stop ahead of time.

Enlightenment was close but Dal could not summon the strength to break his limits and achieve true power. "Still not there...I can't give up...not now." He left his zen place and wandered into the desert. If a beggar can become a saint in 40 days, maybe he can reach his goal as well.

As Dal struggled through the golden wasteland, he picked up what seemed to be a set of swords, lost by those who died there. The rusted weapons were surrounded by the bones and decaying remains of their original owners. On their pommels were the symbols of each person who perished here. Along the blades were the story of their handler.

No one was foolish enough to walk into a death trap so willingly, right? Perhaps these swords belonged to other blademasters that sought out enlightenment and inner peace. "I shall carry on that which you could not. Let us reach peace together." He continued walking, destined for the center of the desert where he would create his new zen place.

Gray sat on his throne one last time and made a prophecy.

"...And he shall travel in the lands of perish and find paradise within its heart. There he shall found the land of anew. Peace will reign throughout the earth and many will come from afar to seek his aid. The men of Xanis shall form their home in the capital of nowhere and take dirt that is without love and care to make fields of glorious gold and jade that shall tower into amber that drop ruby and citrine.

The Disciples of Xanis and the Hero of Gray formed a perfect union. Let it be known that they were no longer servants but soldiers of the legacy that is Gray. They are hereby the Sages of Godchild that shall govern the world they craft.

And then Xanis spoke: Let not a hand be raised against his fellow man except with sickle to gather the grains that stand near him. Let not a drop of blood be shed within the lands of peace for war will bring chaos. Let not entropy be resident within the heart of discipline and the heart of the Sages. Let not the honor of the sword be taken in vain while in the land of peace. The sword is the word of Xanis and the gift of Gray to all hands.

These are final. Long live the Sages of Godchild."

His words were finished as was his rule. Now began the reign of Neon Xanis. The Void was prepped for the final transformation into the Vortex.

Dal began to work the sterile earth into fertile soil.

"Season-less desert.
Lifeless. Deathless.
Pale sands. No water.
Colorless sky. No clouds.
A canvas that cannot, no, will not be painted.
No sense of time. No age.
Eternal self. No body, just mind.
A soul exists. No physical form.
Only spiritual form. Willed existence.
No beginning. No ending.
Destruction and creation, yet still no cycle.
Both must if one might.
No chaos. Only order."

The sands were the evidence of true order. No entropy but the whistling wind existed. How could he grow the land if it was always in order with no chaos. Yet despite the difficulty, he continued as if there were no problem. He had become ghostly, focused on his work to the fullest.

All work and no play makes Dal a dull boy...very dull.

"Yes...but now I'm very curious to know other things," She grinned a rather.. disturbing one, as if if he didn't tell her she'd bring hell over him. Then again she'd have to return the favor and let him know some of her little secrets. Some not as bad...some pretty bad and some 'holy crap' bad.

Vetis looked at the two and could sense a tense atmosphere so he turned around and walked a good distance away and stayed there playing with some rocks minding his own business.

"Oh no no, we have time, we have all the time in the world right now so go on," Eliza said as she still looked at him with a smile...a smile that would curdle milk or ignite a holy cross on fire!

Vetis could hear only a little but snickered slightly seeing the position was in. Someone would face hell and he was glad he wasn't.

Eliza stood in front of him and her hand shot out toward his face and she grabbed his chin between her pointer finger and thumb. She made him look at her straight in the eyes that held such a look that would send a chill down Satan's spine. "Go on Nix...tell me everything."

Vetis felt so bad for Nix but there was no way he'd get in the middle of that. Sorry daddy-o but it's all on you...theres no way im risking my neck... He then broke the connection and sat there minding his own business again as he left his "father" on his own...doomed.
