*stands up* i will reveal my story to you in the future for now though i wish to consider you an ally...i guess for now at least....this is what is right *unstraps one of his katanas from his belt and hands it to the vampire*.... would you mind a wolf joing your coven...well....id rather stay as i am...i dont wish to become a vampire but would you mind me traveling with you? *reaches out a hand to offer a handshake*

Zatchin watched, a twisted expression played her face like a piano, "well, well. A worthless old Vampire, a Mutt, and a pathetic little girl. it would seam, the wind has called me to you, " She grinned, showing her fangs, "want to play?"

He shook his hand quickly, and drew his blades, facing the new attacker. "It would seem this alliance was forged not a minute too soon, my friend. She seeks to play; shall we show her how we play?"

She held his arm, a look of terror on her face, "Please....Please don't get hurt.....I don't want you to fight..."


She smiled, "Looks like the b***h is protecting the freak!"

He growled at the newcomer. "How dare you sully her good name like that!" He turned to his beloved coven member, his face filled with regret. "I doubt this one will listen to reason. Fighting may be necessary. Besides, I am not on my own. The Wolfbrother is on my side."

(Could this be a possible Saya-Diva reference??? I wonder...)

she laughed, "oo! and now the out-of-shape fool comes to defend!" She rolled over laughing.

She looked hard at him, "Ulrich....Please..."

(It is a Blood+ reference. Saya and Diva are both Chiropteran (vampire) Queens; twin sisters, as it were. Both were adversaries, though, one embracing humanity, the other feeding and doing as she pleased.)

He growled. "She is right. She is younger, and far faster than I am. If we tried to escape, she would catch up. I don't see any alternative..."

She shed tears.

Laughter echoed through the cave, "come! Fight!"

He thought about it quickly, then remembered something had had installed in case something like this could happen. He lifted up a large boulder that had been sitting near the back of the cave and tossed it toward his foe as a diversion, revealing a trap door underneath. Moving the door to reveal a set of stairs, he began to take her down the steps. "Hopefully that will stall her... If it doesn't, can you cover for me, Wolfbrother? She is in no condition to fight, and I need to take her to a safe place while she turns."

She laughed, turned and walked away, she had made herself known. Thats all she wanted for now.

Anna was shaking from fear, tears streaming down her face.

He held her tightly; he was frightened as well. "Come on. We have to leave before she finds us."

"W....Where do we go?"

"Down these stairs. This place is no longer safe."

She nodded, still shaking, and followed.

The underground passage led to a clearing in the middle of a forest. "Follow me; I have a back-up shelter nearby."
