Cassidy pulled the covers over her head as her parents came in. They thought she was sleeping so they gently kissed her head and left, whispering softly. "I wonder where her friends went"

The house was surprisingly quiet when Izzy got home. She stayed silent as she shut the door behind her and peaked around the corner.

Koji knew he couldn't stay out forever, so he finally turned toward home. It didn't take him long to reach it. There, trouble unfolded.

Cassidy grumbled. "I want to go home!" She screamed angrily, tossing a pillow against the door. She frowned. "I hate it here!!!"

Izzy walked into school Monday morning and dropped her stuff in her locker. She had chosen not to enter with Koji that day. He had left long before she was ready.

Koji walked in a while later than his sister. On his face was a piece of gauze taped to his right cheek and his left hand was wrapped lightly in an ace bandage.
