(temporary) star trek reboot (since gais's being weird)

Jinx tilted her head and brought both palms of her hands together as her own interpretation of the meaning.

Uhura tensed at the hug-careful he wasn't trying to pull some stunt.

Jinx clawed lightly at the glass again.

Zepatos nodded and released Uhura.
"yeah that's it. Now we all have to be friends." he gestured to all three of them.
"If jinx is our friend, we'll let you out. ok Jinx? If you behave and are our friend."

Jinx nodded slowly. "..o...out...." She held her palms against the glass.

Uhura bit her bottom lip. Perhaps she should have brought security with her. "Captain...." she mumbled under her breath.

Kirk frowned slightly.
"Under no circumstances is she to be released until we can effect some form of communication with her. You're welcome to go in to speak to her, however. i'll send security." he decided, and summoned a few security members to join them.

"Letting her out won't be happening just yet," Uhura commented to Zepatos as the security arrived.

Jinx huddled at the front corner again-the men looked like those who shot at her earlier.

Zepatos sniffed.
"Fine, have it your way." he looked at the Security who seemed to dislike the fact he was out of his cell. they clustered a little aroudn Uhura

Uhura sighed. "It's just safety concern-you can understand that right?" she asked. "The sooner we can establish her communcation more the sooner we can expand a bit more freedom."

Jinx's eyes darted between Uhura and Zepatos. The woman was saying to many words for her to grasp at. "......Jinx.....o..out?"

Zepatos shook his head at Jinx, looking sympathetic.
"no, no out yet. We need to understand you first."

((Somehow I can picture some amusing scenes for Jinx when she gets out....like sleeping on a console....chewing and scratching at the captains chair.....lol))

Jinx pouted and gave a displeased look. "...y...ou....out....." she replied and pawed at the glass. "....Jinx.....w..ish....out....."

"....ome.....h...ome...."

"You want to go home?" Uhura asked with some hand gestures. Jinx paused and then nodded.

"We need to find your home first." Zepatos sighed.
"We will take you home...eventually. It's not simple. you need to tell us where your home is and who took you."

Uhura glanced at Zepatos wondering if that was true for him....did he want to return her to her planet or was it a ploy to gain trust?

Jinx had a puzzled look. Home was outside, yes? She then pointed to the mechcanical device on her arm band in refference to the person taking her. Then she tried to graw at it with her canines which caused the device to activate and send an electric shock. She hissed angerly and then purred sadly.

"Maybe we should try to get her slave-band thing off too." Zepatos suggested with a shrug.
"we've got to reach compromises, she's obviously intelligent even if she is a little..uh...primal."

Uhura crossed her arms. She was just here to make communication with Jinx not a negotiater. But he may have a point since she had shown intelligence.....but Uhura was ready to get in a cell with her. Besides....the doctor or maybe Scottie or Spock could get it off-not her.

Spock was listening and approached Kirk. "I remind you captian that that device was used to suppress the Kaygens natrual strength," he said. "Such action may not be wise."

Kirk nodded.
"I understand that, Spock. But at the same time it's a symbol of slavery to it - removing it might let it trust us. Maybe we could remove it but retain it's purpose?" he suggested, though that seemed far fetched.
"At any rate, go inside and try to get the communication working again." he instructed.

The security officers hung by the cell door, ready to open it. One or two would follow them in.

"Yes captain," Uhura replied. She nodded to the security to open the cell door. Jinx darted to the fartherest corner.

Uhura knelt down on the center of the room. "It's alright," she said gently.
