((Would it be ok if I had Ishizu survive and suffer a mental breakdown? twisted ))

Bakura flashed a maniacal smile. "I wouldn't fasten your setbelts; you'll have no chance of escape."
Malik and Odion didn't follow his advice; they were buckling up, no matter what. But Ishizu has Seen many deaths, and followed her friends advice. Death by plane crash wasn't going to be pleasent.

Tristains eyes went buggy as he heard the hopeless murmers of the fight crew. It wasn't just a storm that was causing the turbulance; the engine seemed to be having problems as well.
"Well, I'm S.O.L." Tristan muttered as he sat in the isle next to Tea.

Joey remained in his position for awhile, smiling at Serenitys reply. Though he couldn't help but feel that his delay of removing his arm amy be making his sister slightly unconfortable. And the thought of what she may be thinking about made his eyes widend. Then as if Serenity was on fire, he jerked his arm back into a normal position beside his side. His arm had moved swiftly enough to not hit Serenity at all. Once he had gotten distance from his arm and her body, he palced his hand awkwardly on the rest. Even if it was his way of protection and family affection, it did seem a little strange. And the thought of what other things it could have meant made him shiver. Anyone who thought of it that way would be out of their minds. Even if he was a little more loving to his sister then some other siblings who would rather fight or keep distance, didn't make it what sick minds may conclude. But he knew now he would have to explain.

His eyes looked over at his sister, "Sorry about that." he whispered. Even thought the idea was unimaginable, he didn't want to make his sister unconfortable. And he especially didn't want her to get the wrong idea. But once the turbulence shook the plane, his hand moved from the rest to grasp hers. "What the hell?" he murmured. Then with a loud beep, the pilot spoke. When told to, he moved his hand to buckle his seat belt. He turned to her as he heard her slight wimper. His hand grasped hers, his thumb caressing her fingers as he smiled. "Dont worry, this happens all the time. Just a little turbulence, never means much. Once we pass through, everything will be smooth sailing." he explained. His voice stayed in a low, conforting whisper so not to attract paniced attention.

But the small voices murmuring that seemed to echo through the plane did not ease his thoughts. He wondered what the pilots were discussing, especially since they didn't see that the phone was off the hook. And things that they did not want the passengers to hear, could be heard rather clearly.

Seto did not seem to answer, Mokuba accepted the silence and just gazed out the window. He smiled out into the emptiness of the wide sky. All there was were clouds as far as his eye could see. At one point he had believed to have seen a design within the clouds form. And it was so close. It looked like a wierd dragon, and the eye in this formation was right next to the plane. He gazed in awe, not thinking of desturbing his brother. He probably would like to see it, but he may have found it immature, so he didn't bother. Once the formation had faded into more clouds, Mokuba leaned back into his chair. His eyes slowly began to twitch, trying to remain open. He had almost drifted off to sleep until..

His head shook around the seat, causing him to jerk up. Letting out a small wimper as his head hit a rather hard angle of the seat. Once it had settled, he rubbed his head. "What happened?" he asked aloud. Then his attention was turned to the small speaker above. The loud chime was followed by the hollow voice of the pilot. He looked down to make sure his seatbelt was firmly around his waist. Looking over to Seto, to make sure he was taking the slight turbulence well. Without warning, more turbulnce hit the plane. Mokuba grasped despritely to his armrests as the plane shook. He could hear the murmurs of the other pilots and maybe the other workers. This was not a good sign, especially when the plane gave another sharp rumble. "Seto." he wimpered as the plane continued to shake. He failed to be brave for Seto, now this was starting to scare him. Their plane never shook this much in such short distances.

Seto didn't say anything to Mokuba. His brows were drawn and he braced himself in his seat. This wasn't normal... It was just like taking off and landing--but in the air--where they shouldn't be feeling such jolts.

"It's the wind resistance..." he said to his brother, his voice jolting up and down as if someone were beating him on the back instead of the plane moving in all dirrections. "They said we were climing in altitude..." he half concluded. Something wasn't right though, and he was very much aware of it. He knew that his brother was worried, and he wanted to soothe that as much as possible.

His eyes were straining to hear what the pilots were saying. Whether he wanted to or not; he had no choice. He was able to pick out a few key phrases that sent a jolt down his spine. Among them included, "off course," "wont hold," "s**t!" "control," but his favorite was cut off: "emergency landing on--" by a loud click.

Someone had discovered the phone.

Mokuba was grasping the rests so hard his knuckles lost color. His fingers were red while his knuckles were white. His body was also giving harsh jolts from side to side. Sometime sit resulted in his running into his brother. Setos words soothed him, but barely, especially when the radio was more clear. He heard all the small things that got through the phone. Now he was more unconfortable then before. His eyes were wide with disbelief, he didn't want to say his thoughs out loud. Mokuba knew how sensitive his brother could be with planes, in this case the only thing that wasn't unconfortable wasn't just taking off. 'The plane is going to crash..' he thought.

Duke pinched his nails into TachiSensei's arm. He was terrified of flying. He just found out why.
"I-told-you-it's-creepy." he managed to ring out with his teeth clenched, after the turbulence had stopped.[does turbulence stop? ^^;]

Anzu wouldn't have even noticed the turbulence if her boobs didn't get all wigly and wubly by it. When one hit her on the chin, she realized the plane was shaking. "hey! Wha-What's going on?" she ased, just as the turbulence stopped.

((Big-a**-long post everyone. It's about the weather though.))

"See?" Seto coaxed his little brother. "From now on it should be a smooth flight. His eyes caught sight of something peculier out the window, though. They were in a very clear area: even the sun was shining... But something just wasn't right. Perhaps it was the way the clouds formed a perfect circle around them... Perhaps it was that it wasn't even raining where they were... Or perhaps it was the oddity of the light mist that looked like smoke in the void circle. Seto gathered that it was fog: but that made no sense. They were supposed to be over cool waters...

The more he thought about it, the more troublesome he became. Hurricanes didn't often spring up between the short distance of the Yellow and East China Seas...Usually the current that ran alongside the border continued on to the west of Japan and pulled storms toward the poles and then back accross the Pacific...it made no sense for one to be traveling with them in this way...and, come to think about it, this storm had suddenly appeared without any warning. There had been no sort of warning against safe travel the night before: Seto had checked.

He looked out the window again accross the plane. From the diameter of the expanse, he could guess with a certain confidence how large the storm was. The figure he came up in his head seemed to be too much, but then again, it was the only thing possible for this size of an eye.

Unless he had his estimates wrong..
But Seto often had a good eye for measurements.

If he was right then, then they hadn't passed dirrectly through the storm. More than likely, it had appeared around them, and by some good faith of someone, they'd managed to get into the eye or the storm.

As he tried to double check his measurements, he witnessed something else that was particuarly worrisome. The clouds around them stopped being so stagnant. They began to move and twist--slowly at first--but Seto noticed it anyhow.

His ears begain to ring, but he was focusing on the sound beneath the plane. It was equal to a dull roar, but it must have been extremely loud for the sound waves to have penetrated the cabin. Seto guessed that it was comming from another sort of wave though. And, he was right.

Below the airplane, the ocean began to rise and fall, crashing against eachother, against the way they usually flowed. The pressure in the air was shifting and the wind was starting to pick up again.

Then, in a mere second, the eye seemed to collapse in on itself and the entire plane was shrouded in darkness. A moment later, someone switched on a light inside.
"Mokuba..." Seto said softly, "I think actually, that it might be a little bumpy again for a moment... but it'll be alright..." He smiled at his brother reassuringly. In the cabin, everyone was whispering amonst eachother.

((Okay. I bow for being the weather girl... *bow* hehe. Keigo: turbulance can be described as the jolting of a plane in the air--it's caused by air pockets that go under the wings... kinda like when you're driving and you hit a speedbump under only one tire. The air pockets are actually areas of pressure--wind. Wind is pressure trying to equalize itself. Hope that makes sense to everyone.

Oh, btw: something spooky...
I can now hear thunder outside my school.))

[Okay... I get it now... But can it 'stop', or do I need another way do tell the turbulance 'went over'? ^^;]
PostPosted: Sat Jun 03, 2006 7:10 am
[Well, it does both. Like, what they were experiencing was like a long bit of pressure, and probably on both sides of the plane: it was shaking it. Thus, it makes sense that it can stop. 3nodding (Are you speaking grammar-wise? If thats the case then you can use 'Ended, Stopped, halted...' When you use the phrase 'went over' you're insinuating that something moved over something else.)]
