The blast of condensed electricity would slam into Ulalume, sending the squid flying through the air at a harsh speed. The Malamar's flight would only be stopped by the wall it slammed into with painful force, the steel wall of the gym now having a slight dent in it from Ulalume's collision with it.

"Well that didn't go exactly as planned." Sub mused, watching Ulalume struggle to get right its self up again. "That thing should be just as winded as you, Ulalume, dispatch it before it does you! Use Psycho Cut!" The Dark One ordered

(1-4, if 4 Ulalume is fully paralyzed. Else wise she sends a blade of psychic energy headed straight for Magnezone.)

Sub was taken back by the sudden appearance and subsequent Mega Evolution of the Steelix, the towering steel snake towering above them as its new crystal growths glittered in the light. Even Ulalume stared in awe at the impressive beast, even with her increased strength and type advantage in attacks she felt minuscule compared to it.

As the sandstorm was whipped up both Sub and Ulalume attempted to shield their eyes but the storm was simply too fierce, the Mega Pokemon's strength on full display as the fierce winds blew, its crystal beginning to glow brightly as its ability was triggered by the gale. It was a sight to behold. "Ulalume!" The man attempted to shout out to his Pokemon through the storm. "Try and pull off one more Superpower!"

Ulalume would manage to hear her trainer, fortunately, and in turn would summon forth what little strength she had left, her muscles bulging as a surge of visible energy appeared around her in the form of a blazing aura of power. With a shriek the squid would launch herself end first at the Mega Steelix, the blazing arrow of energy that was its body piercing through the sandstorm and aimed for the largest part of the snake's body, its head.

(1-4, if 4 Ulalume is fully paralyzed and simply misses as she flinches from the paralysis.)

That was it for Ulalume, there was simply no surviving as the dragonic energy washed over the squid, sapping it of what little strength it had left. Once the Dragonbreath subsided Sub and Jasmine would see the Malamar laying on the ground, out cold and knocked out. Once it was confirmed that his Pokemon was out for the count the Dark One would recall his telepathic squid, stash away its ball, and snatch out of his pocket another Dusk Ball.

"Only one way to fight a Mega Pokemon, that is by fighting fire with fire, eh Jasmine?" Sub said with a smirk as he tossed the ball onto the field, the device popping open to reveal his most mischievous Pokemon, Poe the Sableye, the tiny little ghoul looking like an ant compared to the massive snake. Could something that tiny really take down this behemoth?

"Hehe! Hey there sweet stuff!" He said to Jasmine.

"Focus, Poe. It's time to show them what you can do when you get serious." With that said Sub would raise his Snag Machine gloved fist into the air, showing the backside of his hand and the Key Stone embedded in the device. The stone would glow fiercely, Poe responding in kind as an orb of solid light surrounded him. Soon after it formed the orb would shatter and disappear, revealing an only slightly changed Poe.

"I'm feeling wired! Hehe!" Poe chuckled, holding up his now giant chest gem stone, bigger than his own body. The giant stone was the biggest change Jasmine could notice, outside of the slight modifications made to the Sableye's body which made it look slightly more sinister.

"May not be as impressive of a transformation as your Steelix but looks can be deceiving. You know that better than all the Johto gym leaders, perhaps out of all of them in the world." He complimented the woman. "Now back to the battle...Poe! Foul Play!" Sub cried out.

Poe's eyes gave off a faint, if not lackluster, shine in response to the command, the imp staring at the Mega Steelix with great intent. At first nothing seemed to happen but then when all seemed fine the long shadow which the great beast cast on the ground would come to life and briefly take on a solid, but still shadowy form, the 'shadow' Mega Steelix sweeping its massive tail at its true self. Once the 'shadow' version of it had delivered its attack it would promptly disappear, returning to its harmless form on the ground.

Both Sub and Poe would grin in response to Jasmine's command, the pair watching the Mega Steelix charge up its powerful tail with Steel energy, chuckling to themselves a bit. "Time to show you Poe's specialty, empowered by his Mega Evolved form! Poe, use Metal Burst!" The Dark One cried out.

Poe would wait for the Mega Pokemon's mighty tail to close in on it, the Mega Sableye just adjusting his massive gem a little bit to make sure its tail made contact with it. As soon as the Iron Tail came down upon Poe's gem the Mega Sableye would cackle as his gem began to give off a blinding silvery glow in response to the contact. While the force of the Iron Tail would harm Poe as he pushed back against the force with all his might as he held the gem 'shield' still he would not be the only one harmed by it.

Soon after the gem began to glow it would unleash a burst of energy which would cause the Mega Steelix's tail to fly backwards towards its self at twice the speed and force it had flung it. The tail was now one a collision course with its owner and it was going to hurt, Steel type or not.

"Glad we could provide some entertainment." Sub smiled, Poe as well. "But don't think we're just going to sit back while you beef up your snake. Poe, use Confuse Ray!" The Dark One ordered.

With fiendish glee the Mega Sableye would spin its giant gemstone around with shocking speed, the now spinning gem giving off a blinding flash of light which cause even Sub to recoil a bit in response. While Jasmine but be a bit dazzled by it herself it would be the Mega Steelix who would feel its true effects.

Sub would smile as he heard the command, looking at Poe as their opponent prepared its move, the Mega Sableye smiling as well. "Get ready, Poe! Use Psych Up!" The Dark One ordered.

As the Mega Steelix closed in on it the Mega Sableye's gem would give off a strange pulsating wave of energy which would bounce off the incoming iron snake and come back to the gem, getting reabsorbed by it. As the energy was absorb the Mega Sableye would become noticeably bulkier as it copied the stat increases its enemy had. While it would do nothing to stop the Mega Steelix from slamming into the Mega Sableye it would allow it to resist the attack better thanks to its increased Defense and its decreased Speed, thus making Gyro Ball weaker.

"Going to take more than that to topple our defense!" Sub declared as Poe still stood, holding his giant gem up with pride.

"Might be a little stale but it's tried and true...Poe, use Metal Burst!" Sub ordered.

Once the rock encrusted made contact with Poe's giant gem the Mega Sableye would grunt and do its best to push back against the Stone Edge, the Sableye taking a bit of damage in the process and yet the increased Defense did help to soften the blow. Shortly after contact the gem would once again unleash a bright burst of light and send the tail flying back at its sender at a faster speed.
