Keiko, despite being at a considerable distance for Castform's safety, managed to watch the exchange of Shadow Moves between Dissonance and the presumably wild Lickilicky, and the danger to the latter's captives as a result. "Darn it," Keiko cursed, popping a Poke Ball into her Snag Machine before letting Natalia out of her ball. "I"m really sorry about this, Castform, but I'm a little starved for options at this point." With that, Keiko took the Snag Ball out of her Snag Machine and tapped an uncertain Castform with it, triggering the ball's capture mechanism. "Natalia, stay here and make sure Castform stays in it's new ball. I don't want either of you catching that virus," Keiko ordered solemnly before running off, not even waiting to make sure the snagging of Castform was successful.
With no certain way to protect Lickilicky's captives and not enough time to try to think of one, Keiko did the only thing she could think of while snagging Castform; positioned herself between the Shadow Rave and the Pokemon being held against their will. She would regret this, however, as the attack damaged her body, striking at her with its spikes. Keiko would fall to her knees and hands, weakened greatly by her choice. "Get... out of here..." she begged the captives, her voice weakened by pain.
Natalia, having none of Keiko getting herself hurt, would Teleport to Keiko's side, wrap a wing around her, and Teleport back to the Snag Ball, which was successful in snagging Castform at this point. Before Keiko could protest, Natalia would tap Audrey's ball with a peck, opening the device. The second Audrey saw Keiko in her current state, she immediately fired a Heal Beam at her, which would heal the spike holes in her body, though she would still be somewhat weak from pain, even though the pain was lessened considerably. Keiko, who was too weak to be angry at this point, would simply hug Natalia and Audrey. "Thanks, you guys," she would say.
Since Keiko was pretty much out of commission, and the danger of contracting the virus was small, Natalia Teleported to the captives and Teleported them to her trainer's side, getting them out of harm's way and giving Toren the opportunity to take Roselia to her trainer if he so wanted.

"Iron Defense!" Odd called out when the Shadow Rave erupted toward his partner. Without even thinking, he tossed out another ball to release his Honedge. "Entr'Acte, protect them!" He told the Purified Steel-type. Before the blade could get anywhere, though. Keiko had already acted and, though she was injured, Odd couldn't do anything to help her. Trying to keep his focus on the trouble at hand, he recalled Entr'Acte again while Dissonance hardened his body against those Shadow virus infused spikes. He deflected most of them but some where either position just right to pierce his Steel-like sheen, or were simply sharper than his defenses could protect him from.
"Dissonance, use Hammer Arm!" He called out after the attack had ended. The silvery sheen covering the Golurk's body faded and it drew back a mighty arm, a brownish aura engulfing it as Fighting energy began to coalesce. Flying toward the Lickilicky with a burst of flames from his "skirt", the Ghost charged and thrust it's glowing arm into the Normal-type massive stomach, attempting to launch it skyward.
In the midst of all the chaos Toren would scoop up the Roselia and shoo the other Grass-types away, telling them to get out of here or go find their trainers, though they did not need to be told twice as the three Pokemon quickly fled. Toren would give Keiko a sorrowful look briefly before nodding at Natalia and running off himself, Roselia in his arms as he went off to find its trainer.
"Lick!" Shouted the Lickilicky as it was struck and sent airborne. The Shadow Pokemon however would not go down without a fight as it quickly wrapped its disgustingly long tongue around the Golurk's arm. With the Golurk tied up the Shadow Lickilicky would unleash a fearsome gust of Blizzard from its mouth. This Shadow Pokemon was not going down without a fight.

Keiko sat down on the grass, still recovering from the pain she felt from the Shadow attack she endured. "It's up to Odd and Lykas, now," she said, trying to catch her breath.

"Crap!" Odd yelped when Dissonance was caught up in Lickilicky's counter assault. That fat blob of pink was tougher than he'd given it credit for but maybe it was just the Shadow Virus? "A little help, here?!" He asked Lykas, trying to think of what he could do to help Dissonance at the moment.
With Dissonance being counterattacked the way he was, Lykas decided to offer a bit of help, throwing out the Ultra Ball containing Lickitung. The Shadow Pokemon emerged with another sickening wave of energy, almost dropping hybrid and channeler alike to their knees due to proximity to the vile essence pouring out into the air. Before Lykas could even issue a command, however, his Lickitung took it upon itself to unleash a Shadow Wave, energy infused with the Shadow Virus rippling out of it's body and pouring over everything nearby.
"That's not helping!" Odd called out to Lykas, covering his mouth to try and keep that foul taste out of it. Not that it helped any. "Dissonance! Come back!" That Blizzard was too much for the Golurk to handle at the moment. "Entr'Acte, time for the encore. Flash Cannon!" Releasing the Honedge and summoning the spear shaft of Ghost energy he'd learned to use with it, he drew back as the Ghost-type charged up. Entr'Acte affixed himself to the shaft just as his charge peaked and Odd threw. Silver light swirled off the blade as Odd's throw sent him careening through the air toward's Lickilicky. Seconds before impact, he released the pent up Steel energy within his blade, a thin laser-like beam of light cutting through the air from his blade tip, focusing all of the energy into dealing the maximum damage to the Normal-type.

The 'laser' beam would slam into the Lickilicky as it came back down to Earth, the Shadow Pokemon growling in pain after being hit. Realizing that despite its strength it was fighting a losing battle the crafty virus plagued Pokemon would attempt to even the playing field as it lashed its tongue out at and snatched up Keiko, quickly recoiling its tongue to pull her over to its side yet still wrapped up in the freakishly long tongue.
With Keiko as its hostage the Shadow Pokemon would not end there as it let out a cry, storm clouds rapidly forming above them and a fierce bolt of Thunder coming crashing down from above straight for the metallic Entr'Acte.

"Oh crap!" Odd yelped the moment he realized what that attack meant. Entr'Acte's ability was No Guard. He would ensure the attack hit even with Thunder's typically low accuracy. And worse, that damn tongue with an attitude had Keiko, now.
"Charge!" Lykas' call, surprisingly enough, wasn't aimed at Lickitung, whom he'd already recalled now that Odd took the time to actually look. Instead, it was aimed at his Luxray, Sphynx. The Electric Type jumped over Entr'Acte as the Thunder came down and soaked up the electrical energy, using Charge to boost her own energy. She roared loudly as her body began to shine, surprising her along with Lykas and Odd. "That's new..." Lykas noted to himself. Maybe her innate energy level was finally recovering from the poison Greesix had used to weaken her all that time ago?
"We can't let it keep her..." Odd told himself, trying to think of a way to get Keiko free. Then it clicked. "Entr'Acte, Autotomize!"
"What are you-?" Lykas started to ask before remembering what the move did. The blade Pokemon reacted to Odd's command by hurling it's sheath toward the Channeler, reducing it's total weight and greatly increasing it's speed. "Get in there and use Sacred Sword as soon as you get a chance!"
"Right! Sphynx! As soon as you get an opening, put that charge to good use with a Wild Charge!" Lykas told his own partner. He didn't like exposing her to the Shadow Virus but that Lickitung was just too wild to control right now. Even if Sphynx did get infected, it might end up being a blessing in disguise, though he wasn't even considering letting it happen if he could get her away from it fast enough. Orders given, both Pokemon took their cues with Entr'Acte now racing around Lickilicky at incredible speeds, looking for a chance to stab at the Pokemon with a Fighting chi imbued blade while Sphynx stood back and crackled, preparing to let loose the energy she'd stolen. Speaking of, while she wasn't showing it, she couldn't lie that it had hurt a lot more than she'd been expecting it to. She wasn't keen on pulling another stunt like that any time soon.

Keiko, realizing that it was too late to dodge, held her hands up while she was being wrapped up in tongue so that she still had use of it. Once she was close to the Lickilicky and the rolling her body was doing as she was pulled in stopped, she grabbed Natalia's and Audrey's Poke Balls, recalling the Pokemon that were charging to the rescue. She then had to hold the balls tight to make sure neither Natalia nor Audrey got out. "No! I won't... let you catch the virus!" she growled from exertion, the effort to both keep her Pokemon in their balls and to not get crushed by the tongue holding her in place making it hard for her to talk normally.
The Honedge would strike true, the super effect attack slashing across its tongue, causing it to withdraw the long slick appendage in pain and thus releasing Keiko. The angry Shadow Pokemon would become even more enraged after being attacked, its Shadow energy swelling further as it stomped around.
"Lickiii!" The beast let out a twisted roar as Shadow energy exploded out from its body in the form of another Shadow Rave, however this one far more wide spread and powerful as it threatened to catch all those in sight, threatening to pierce them all with its foul energy. The Shadow Lickilicky was getting desperate

"Sphynx, look out!" Lykas called out when he saw Licklilicky charging an attack. Luckily for him, the Electric-type hadn't used up her Wild Charge yet and let it loose as she nimbly dodge the spikes from Shadow Rave, if only just barely. Except that she didn't dodge all of them completely. She wasn't fast enough to evade the last wave of them as she closed in and, while she didn't feel them, a pair coming from opposite sides left long, shallow scratches on her sides as she passed between them. The moment that Shadow Licklicky had stopped it's attack, Sphynx would be sure she was positioned to land this attack, albeit at it's normal level. She'd spent her Charge trying to play dodge-spike.
"Crap..." Odd yelped when Licklicky roared, covering his ears for just a moment. As soon as he could uncover them again, he'd expose his ears again, summoning a Guardian Halo around Keiko to protect her from another round of those spikes. He wasn't sure how effective it would be against a Shadow move but it was better than letting his friend get skewered again. "Entr'Acte, use Night Slash! Help keep Keiko safe and draw it's attention!"
The Blade Pokemon reacted beautifully, racing to Keiko's side and using Night Slash to cut the spiked tips off of Shadow Rave before they could meet Odd's Guardian Halo, further increasing Keiko's chances of surviving this one without getting pierced yet again.
"We need to stop it or catch it. Now!" Lykas called, watching their Pokemon fight with their all.
"I know, I know! If we don't do something and fast, it's gonna go Hyper..." Odd responded, trying to figure out if he had any Pokeballs on him. Digging into his backpack for just a moment, he fished out a few but only one seemed like it would have the chance to catch this thing and he only had one. Holding the Ultra Ball tightly in hand, he turned his attention back to the battle and watched, just waiting for the chance to throw it.
Keiko didn't have time to react - as soon as she was released, she was hit by another Shadow move - or would be, if not for Odd looking out for her.
"Thanks!" Keiko shouted as she ran past them, done with being involved with Shadow Pokemon entirely. She kept running until she caught up with Toren, or ran out of energy trying. Either way, she wanted to make sure that Roselia was returned. She trusted Toren, but the way this trip had been going, there was no telling what distractions waited around the bend.

Once the Shadow Rave ended the Shadow Lickilicky would not have time to recover from its attack as Sphynx closed in on it and rammed into it with its Wild Charge. The plump Pokemon at first did not budge as it fought back against the attack, however Entr'Acte would ruin its focus as the blade slashed down on it with a Night Slash, the Shadow Lickilicky losing its footing and sent flying backwards.
"Lick..." Growled the Pokemon as it laid face down on the ground. Both Odd and Lykas would first sense a massive surge of Shadow energy coming from the Shadow Pokemon, but within just seconds all three persons who visibly see what was going on as a foul red aura 'bubbled' out of the Shadow Lickilicky's body. It was going to go into Hyper Mode any second now if something wasn't done and if it did they would have a much bigger fight on their hands.

As their Pokemon withdrew from the danger zone and the sense of urgency mounted ever higher, Odd took his chance and hurled the Ultra Ball at the Lickilicky. "I hope this thing takes or we're screwed..."
"Ya, I know." Lykas replied, recalling Sphynx for her own safety while waiting to see if Odd's Ball did it's job. Odd did similar, recalling his own Pokemon for their safety as well.
The ball would make contact, open up, and suck the monster inside. The device would close shut with surprising volatility as it struggled to contain the creature. After several violent and bouncy wiggles the ball would stop moving and the button on the front blink once with a click. The Shadow Lickilicky was caught.
Keiko ran away, eventually making it to the spot where she saw the Roselia owner. But Toren was nowhere to be found. "Toren!?" she yelled, trying to figure out where her travelling partner had run off to.
