	ResidentOfDarkness musicman3672 I dont care anymore... you can spend days working on how to improve your armor or, for those of us without armor (yet!) days, weeks, months, or longer formulating how to make it on a college student's budget, while keeping it as historically accurate as possible! Quote: you dislike movies with inaccurate garb and armor I can only watch medieval-themed movies that get the vote of approval from other SCAdians... and even then only by myself or with other SCAdians... apparently mundanes aren't interested in a running commentary on the garb during "Barveheart" redface im not allowed to watch medevil based movies with my mundain friends anymore. and my teacher gets pissed cause i repediatly correct her XD. My mom hates watching medi movies with me... but my friends have fun. I went out to see "Narnia" with a bunch of other fighters after practice one day. 	squire to fools My mom hates watching medi movies with me... but my friends have fun. I went out to see "Narnia" with a bunch of other fighters after practice one day. My first thought and comment upon seeing Aslan's army? COOL! Fighter chicks! ...no wait... COOL! Centaurs! haha cute!! my socials teacher (or the one i had this year) happens to BE and SCAdian biggrin he's the one who helped me officially get into it!! (lolz me and the other SCAdians just call him 'dad', and his wife 'mom') and he never watches any type of quotes"historically basied"endquote movies - his daughter and 'mom' do though!! and then they come back from the movies going "IT WAS AN AWESOME MOVIE ... you'll hate it ... BUT IT WAS AN AWESOME MOVIE" (the 'you'll hate it' part being something or many things weren't historically correct!) rofl

	squire to fools Naito_Mitsukai omg really?? if you find easy patterns tell me!! i need on despretly! xd heart* * you might be in the SCA if your friends call you Lady or Lord ~insert SCAname~ because you don't respond to your mondane name (no clue if anyone's said this yet - but i've realized it's much easier to grab someone's attention during the day if you use their SCA name! xd ) like "john!! JOHN!!! HEY JOHN! ~grumble~ YOH LORD TADGG!! THEEERE we go!!" xd (during school and what-not) Always... there's a million Johns, but John knows very well he's the only Lord Tadgg. well there's not that many at school - and when you're in the theatre, and you're a techie, calling 'John' there's only one john really (he's the adult ... well ... adult by age not by personality! xd in charge of everything to do with the theatre!!) but yeah - i was standing RIGHT BESIDE HIM - "john ...... JOHN .... YOH JOHN!!! sigh 'LORD TADGG' " and then he turned around -probably though i was Lord Wylfred also works in the school or someone!! xd

	You know you're a SCAdian when... -you see a flat bed truck of 3/4 inch pvc pipe and think about all the weapons that could make- -you pass a metal scrap yard and think about all the armor you could make- -you work at Home Depot JUST so you can get the employee discount off of pipefoam, PVC and duct tape- -one of your mundane friends asks what the persons "real" name is and you can't answer them- -you spend hours in "sharp shiney" stores but don't buy anything- -you spend hours in "sharp shiney" stores trying to figure out which one you want to buy FIRST- -you spend hours in "sharp shiney" stores trying to figure out how you can afford the one you want for the next event- -you spend hours in a "sharp shiney" store figuring out how to make the weapons out of PVC and pipe foam- -you refer to bathrooms a biffies or biffs and portapotties as porta-biffs even in mundania- Here's some An Tirian ones you know you're from An Tir when... -you go into a fabric store and head for the water resistant fabric- -you buy fabric water proofer in summer- -you go to an event in July and there's a thunderstorm on the first night- -you ALWAYS put your rain-fly on your tent no matter what month the event is in- personal one... You might be a SCAdian if... -your boyfriend asks you what the three next important things to do are and you list them "how my parents medical insurance will cover me after I move out, Find a job and make 8 belt favors" and he tells you that the order needs reversed. -the ladies in your camp are required to have a male escort after dark even though all the men are drunk and the one that takes you too the porta-biffs doesn't know the way in the dark so you just take the lead and just tell him to "follow the jingling"-

	I've read through all of these that have been posted, and I must admit, I am quite guilty of most of them. >.< Here are some more of my own: * if it takes you 15 minutes to get to breakfast which is past merchants row, where it normally takes others 3 because of people stopping to say HELLO to you. eek * if after an event you need 4 days of rest because at the event you got less then 2 hours of sleep a night. sweatdrop * if you have enjoyed a long nights relationship behind the royal pavilion... heart * if the Queen of AnTir makes a propositioning remark to your own. (i.e: You complement her on her dress. She then replies with how wonderful your kilt is, along with: "That kilt would look even more wonderful on my tent floor...") 3nodding * You walk into a Home Depot and say to your friend: "I suddenly want to make a T-shirt that has the Home Depot Logo on it and on the back have it say: 'Serving the SCA for 40 years...'
