Darksol88 "Eh..." While what Aden saw wasn't in any way representative of what was around, he figured it was much safer to just take Gold's word for it. "Yeah, right." Nodding, he started down one of the passes. As Gold and Aden started to travel deep within the confines of the well, in Aden's case, if he was paying mind, he'd sense several presences in the confines. Both human and Pokemon alike. Though given it was generally silent, unbeknownst to Gold, he was about to walk right into the proverbial Beedrill's nest.

Aden did in fact start focusing on letting his senses go to work, almost as soon as he had realized he wasn't going to be able to see too much without them. Gold was indeed right, as there were far more than a few people around. They were somewhat faint, though, given distance and all.
Still, it provided a defense that was sorely needed. As he saw it, while Gold was capable, his protection was a must. "...I think there's a lot more around than you think. And we'll definitely need to be ready, or we'll probably be outnumbered fast. Just hold on, there's something I should do before we're too far in for it."
Since things were quiet, he let Mareep out for a moment. He finally remembered he had gotten some Antidotes back at Violet City, and it'd be better to get that situated now than potentially risk her health further. Petting her a bit and spraying it into the wounds left from that Golbat, he made sure it'd do something about the poison. For good measure, he sprayed a Potion into the same wounds before finally recalling her.
"...Okay." He didn't take long to resume, aware of the sheer numbers bound to be presented to them.

"Not if we don't have to. But it isn't like splitting up's a smart idea. Or finding some way to get behind them that can't be explained or understood." Aden said. "But if we have to fight, we'll fight. How're your Pokemon holding up? I only know about the Quilava."

"But if we have to fight, we'll fight. How're your Pokemon holding up? I only know about the Quilava." "Well, I got a Flaffy...he just evolved recently. And I got a Hoot-hoot also." He explained. "They're all holding up just fine, I would think. I didn't really get the chance to get them to help me out when Team Rocket managed to get to me."

It made him really want to get his Mareep to be able to pull her own weight. If he was to meet the trainer again in the present, he felt like it'd be a letdown if he didn't do that much. Not just with her, of course.
As he saw it, though, they were getting close. The presences didn't feel far. "We'll probably have something on our hands in no time. Just trust me on this."

There was no way he could do that in a few seconds, not after hearing the shout. Looks like there really was going to be a fight on his hands. "Yeah, it's a long story." Quick to get a ball back out, he started after where he heard the voice.

Looks like there really was going to be a fight on his hands. "Yeah, it's a long story." Quick to get a ball back out, he started after where he heard the voice. A Rocket grunt was on his way to see what was the racket about, that was, though until he got cut off by Aden approaching him. The Rocket stared at Aden for a bit... "...its not holloween already, is it? Well, I'm not in a giving mood, either way." He said, taking a ball out of his own.

While it'd do nothing about any sort of clothing or appearance, he let his Nidoran out. Considering what that last one he fought had, maybe it'd be a useful defense.

The Grunt shouted, tossing out the Pokeball, revealing the massive rat before him. "What's going on!?" Another grunt came. Just what Aden needed. Company. "Another idiot trying to be a hero, huh?" he also tossed out a Pokeball, revealing a Ekans. "Hang on, Aden, I gotcha." Gold said, rushing next to Aden, taking out a Pokeball. "Go! Quilava!" The Quilava made its way forth in front of Gold as it squared off with the two. "Hey! Its that kid! GAH! Did those two screw up!?" "Does it matter! Let's take them out!"

A Raticate? He'd have to be careful with Nidoran, he thought. If that thing got poisoned or something, things might get a lot nastier in a hurry. Seeing another grunt approach, he was ready to get another Pokeball...
At least, until Gold joined in with his Quilava.
"Another? Well, not my fault if you have some kind of pest problem... oh, wait. Nidoran, why don't you say hi to that Raticate over there? Double Kick!" He knew Raticate had some speed to it, but getting on its case would help regardless. To those means, Nidoran sprang forward, then to Raticate's side in an attempt to get a couple of kicks off.

"Ekans! Use Glare on that Quilava!" The opposing Pokemon retaliated. The Raticate was about to come down hard upon the Nidoran as the Ekans unleashed its crippling stare upon the Quilava. "Quilava! No!" Gold shouted.

Nidoran wasn't able to get away quickly enough, and found himself taking the harsh bite. Trying to get Raticate off, he responded with a light Shock Wave.
"Nidoran, hang on a bit... Gold, here!" Normally, Aden didn't find it right to use items of any sort in a battle. To him, it was cheap. However, he doubted these guys were ones to fight with honor, and Quilava could use the help anyway. So he tossed a single Paralysis Heal over.
Really, he wasn't even sure if it'd help; at best, it was a guess based on the sudden crippling Quilava faced.
His Nidoran did hold its ground after the attempt at throwing the rat off, but charged up for another Shock Wave should it be needed.
