I'm starting a new semester on Monday and it's got me a little nervous...
Anthropology, Mathematics, Religion (grawr. just because I need it to graduate), and English (yay!)
I'm worried about the work load.

I'm in a trimester system.. yay 1 and a half years of work in 1 year. stare
ANYWAY.
I'm in Creative Writing right now, and it's my one fun class. We're in the poetry unit and I love it. I wish we were learning more about meter, anapestic poetry, villanelles, and other rhythm involved things.
So we had to write a free verse poem about our name, 3 haikus and 2 limericks.
EHEHEHEHE:
"Neither a bottle nor a frond
Made of glass or in a pond
Not tall and spotted
Not wet and dense
Not like sickly sweet dew
Clinging to
And gracing the grass though it be knotted
Around a white picket fence
It is not many things
It is not anything but what it seems
Certainly not unique or even one of a kind
It is, with your spectacles, blind
It is, of connotations and expectations, full
I am, despite all, April"
HAIKUS (Usually about nature):
"I don't like nature
There are bugs and lots of mud
Get it off of me!"
"Bunnies and flowers
Sun rays, rainbows and tall trees
I hear a chainsaw"
"Sitting in this class
My legs go numb, then my mind
Smart kids aren't smart"
LIMERICKS (Usually dirty/violent):
"She road the great beast into battle
Amid all the brush and the cattle
Rose up a great rock
It caught in her frock
She fell off and hit with a splattle!"
"Old lady Jean had no eyes
yet through her blindness was wise
When she heard a bang
She'd raise up her cane
And yell, 'I've got a surprise!'"

I love this class SO EFFING MUCH.

My girlfriend and I used to play dress up when we were kids, we don't live in the same state at the moment but we're still dating. I miss her.
