Tony managed to keep the pain that the wound caused from crossing to Loki’s mind, only flinching slightly as the magic lashed out at him. Smiling when the wound was healed a moment later, he could sense how much this upset Loki and he sent across love and reassurance to the man. He didn’t try to defend or explain himself right now. That was a conversation that needed to happen in private. Slipping his gauntlet back on, Tony sighed. “Loki, I order you to answer my question truthfully….were you honest about what you remember about last night?” he asked softly. If Loki was shown to be honest, they couldn’t do anything really.

Loki couldn't sense how much he hurt Tony but he didn't like it either way. He felt the love and reassurance but it still did not make him feel any better.He was already considering the tongue lashing he was going to give the man when he was surprised by the second order. "Yes." he bit out trying to keep irritation from his voice. Hodur however looked quite intrigued by this.



"Finally we can get to the bottom of all his previous transactions. We can find out what happened to the young princes." Hodur stated and other council members piped up in agreement. Loki felt terror race through him and he looked to Tony.

Tony frowned at Hodur, squaring his shoulders and staring the man down. “This is a trial about the gauntlet last time I checked. If you want me to do anything, it will be on that topic alone.” He said firmly.

Frigga nodded slightly. “I agree with Tony in this. Matters concerning the safety of Asgard take precedence over all.” She said firmly. “We will only be focusing on the theft of the infinity gauntlet.” Shifting on the throne, she looked over the council. “I believe that what we have seen has just been definite proof that Loki was not to blame for last night. Or does someone still have doubts?”

Hodur turned to Tony as the midgardian denied what he was trying to do. Loki felt anger and caution surge up as Hodur turned his full attention on his mate. He bit back a threatening snarl knowing it would not go over well.



"Definite proof I think not, he may have been truthful concerning about last night but that does not take blame from him knowing it was going to happen. How do we know the reason he came is the real reason and not for him to sleepwalk and steal the gauntlet. If it is true that he is not responsible than who is? I demand answers to this and I believe we the council should be given the right to ask Loki our questions while he is to remain truthful in all instances." Hodur stated other murmured in agreement. Some because they truly agreed but others because they knew better than to not agree. Those were the ones that seemed wary about such a power. While many had questions for the younger god, they were not sure they wish to force him to answer all and truthfully at that. They knew all to well that could mean that too much information could be given should the question be phrased right. Hodur however looked quite triumphant at that, more than 3/4 of the council were agreeing with him which meant if put to a vote the queenwould be forced to follow what the council wanted.

Frigga’s eyes cooled as Hodur continued. Eyes narrowing, she looked over the council. “I can tell you why he is here. He came because I asked my son to return to Asgard for a short time. He would not be here if I did not ask him to come. Heimdall would not open the bifrost to him and any alternate way of reaching the realm would have notified me or taken so much time that Tony or Thor would have noticed and gotten word to us. So I would be careful of how you are laying your blame Lord Hodur.” She said, obviously twisting his words around to pin him down again. Continuing to pursue that path would now involve blaming the queen, something that placed Hodur’s life at stake.

Tony had to hold back a smile. Between Frigga’s position and Tony’s experience with trials, this would not go well for Hodur. He wondered what it would take for the man to realize it. “If it would help ease the council’s mind, I can ask Loki about these problems.” He said easily. Sending a soothing thought to Loki as he turned back to him, he met his eyes. ‘I am sorry Lo….you know I would not do this otherwise. Remember only what you say must be truthful, silence is not lying. The council is divided. Just a little more and you will be safe.’ He murmured to the god. “Loki. I order you to answer my questions truthfully. Did you know that you would be made to steal the infinity gauntlet when you came to Asgard? Who do you believe controlled you last night?” he asked slowly, being careful about his wording. If they could get the majority of the council, even by one person to side with Loki, or at least be unwilling to oppose Frigga, then they could push for sentencing and escape relatively unscathed.

Hodur's face grew dark when Frigga turned her attention on him. He did not like her fielding the questions. She was upset time g the balance, where Odin had been content to let him take control. Now Frigga was wresting that control from him with the council members who were more sympathetic towards loki. Hodur was not going to let her take that control from him. "I was under the impression your highness that Loki returned to Asgard to press charges against lady Sif and the warrior Fandral. If I have been misinformed then why pray tell are they locked in the dungeon?" Hodur questioned. If he could show the queen was lying he could discredit her and take control once more. Hearing Tony say he could ask loki the questions the council wanted to supreme him. The Midgardian was vaguely accommodating, perhaps he could use it to his advantage.

Loki was unsure if his mother was helping or hurting their cause. Listening to Hodur the man only made him angry even more so when the man's gaze turned to tony. His attention was torn when he felt like now that Tony had gotten a taste for control and liked it despite his words otherwise about it being necessary. Loki wanted to yell in frustration when Tony gave his order. "I had the stray thought that it might happen, Thanos wanted the gauntlet when he sent me to Midgard after the tesseract. The tesseract was to get me to Asgard to get the gauntlet and then escape back to him." Loki answered. Hodur looked far too pleased at that news. That was nearly the final straw for loki.

"More untold things come to light when truth is forced on the liars tongue. How much more is there that you haven't told us?" Hodur questioned. That was the last straw, he had never lied. Not divulged information sure but he never lied, he hated the name liesmith.

As much as he was upset with Tony about the orders he could use the current one to his advantage now. 'Remember your ideas earlier, now would be a good time to out him. My mother needs the control of the council away from him.' Loki stated not looking to Tony.

Frigga had to resist rolling her eyes at Hodur. “He is pressing charges, but he need only be here for the trial for that, he did not need to stay here. I requested he visit.” She replied coolly. She knew Tony and Loki were speaking with one another, their reactions to each other made it clear to her that there was some prior knowledge of what the other would do, and she hoped that her interruptions bought them enough time to do so.

Tony frowned, at Hodur, knowing that he was desperately wielding his power at this point, trying to keep control. Looking back to Loki when he told him to expose Hodur, he looked doubtful for a moment. ‘Are you sure Lo?’ he asked softly. He could feel Loki’s building anger and was hesitant to do much of anything at this point, and he knew how desperately Loki had hid this secret. He would not recklessly agree to expose it without Loki’s assurance.

Hodur frowned when the queen answered him easily about the charges against Lady Sif and Fandral. "Is it true that one of the charges being brought against them is the controlling of Loki's mind? Lady Sif has never shown an aptitude for magic how is this possible." Hodur questioned unaware that Tony and Loki were talking. "The only one powerful enough to control someone's mind is yourself and the Allfather, but also Loki. It has never been a secret about the animosity between those two. How do we know these accusations are true?" he continued.

Loki fought the urge to look at Tony knowing it would draw Hodur's attention. 'Sure, no but I would not do this otherwise unless it was neccessary. Hodur does not want my mother taking over for Odin and I can see that. I promised her that I would help her no matter what it took. At that time I thought it meant merely appearing in this form to the public but now it seems I must out secrets and face the consequences.' Loki stated.

Frigga shook her head. “One does not have to show signs of magic if one has magic. In fact if one is using magic in the way Sif is accused, I would think they would go out of their way to hide their magic.” Frigga said simply, as if it was common sense. “And if one’s only purpose is to control and manipulate with magic, mind control is not that hard. The magic will be sloppy, which is why we were able to find evidence. Midgard has technologies which will help prove her guilt….and with time perhaps we will be able to use such technology as well to help us prevent future problems.” She said slowly.

Tony couldn’t help but admire Frigga’s poise with all of this, and thank her for giving them a moment. ‘He will be in more trouble than you Lo….and if this can cause a little chaos, then we can push for a vote and I will get you out of here.’ He replied softly. ‘I promised you that I was not going to let anything happen to you, I’m going to keep that promise. Between your mother and I you will be safe.’ He added. Waiting for a moment longer, he looked to Hodur. “If you’re so eager to have the truth, perhaps I should ask another question.” He said lightly, almost sounding innocent. “Loki…..who is the father of Vali and Narfi?” he asked, voice gentle, but loud enough to carry through the room.

Hodur sneered hearing that Midgard had a way to prove Sif's guilt. The woman had truly screwed up then to do things while they were on Midgard of course she had gotten loki back onto Asgard to steal the gauntlet. They could bury the young god now and leave him for Thanos if they played this right. His thoughts were interrupted when Tony spoke saying perhaps he should ask loki another question. Hearing the question he grew surprised, there was only one answer and he knew it. "That was not one of the questions we needed asked, the death of the young prince's is more important." he argued.

Loki was unsure if he would be allowed to leave after this but it wouldn't matter. Right now helping his mother mattered no matter how sick to his stomach telling the truth was going to make him feel. Loki looked up when the question was asked, he knew the news would come as a surprise to Thor and his mother. While he had yelled at Thor for leaving him alone that night he had never said what happened. "Hodur." Loki answered and council around them gasped in surprise.

"I do not understand friend tony." Thor stated from his seat.

Frigga straightened as Loki replied to the question set forth. Looking to Hodur in shock, it only took a moment before her eyes narrowed. She would have this man caste from Asgard soon enough. This was the man who had taken advantage of Loki, who had hurt him and used him. Of course she loved Vali and Narfi, but she was no fool, she knew how they’d come into this world. “So a member of the council, blatantly disregarded a law of Asgard, disrespected the royal family by not stepping forward as the father of the princes, and continued to claim that he was a protector of the law by ruling and sentencing on others?” she said smoothly, voice sharp and cold as ice. “We will have to have a very long, very thorough talk Lord Hodur.” She added, with this news Frigga would make sure he was removed from the council, that he lost everything she could take from him.

Tony stared Hodur down. “Oh I beg to differ on that. I think the truth of the boys’ parentage is very important.” He said lightly. Several of the council members around Hodur began to shift and move away from the man, as if putting space between them would provide some protection from the storm that he would soon be thrown into. Hearing Thor, Tony looked to him slowly. “It’s exactly what it sounds like Thor. That night you and Loki went out, the night he became pregnant with Vali and Narfi, it was Hodur who took advantage of Loki.” he said coolly. “If that Guard you were interviewing actually knew what he was talking about, he can back that up.” He added. After a pause, he turned back to the council. “Now that I think about it, I think this poses a bit of a problem. Now assuming that Asgard holds the same view of justice and fairness that Midgard does, which for the sake of future relations, I hope it does, having someone who has been in such a situation, perhaps even relationship with the accused throws the trial into an imbalance. It will affect Hodur’s view and judgment when dealing with Loki. Especially considering the fact that it still clearly affects him as he continues to harp on the situation with the princes, as tragic as it was, while Loki is on trial for a completely unrelated and perhaps more universally important problem.” He said, voice confident and convincing, his stature pulling up into the regal, room filling personality he employed to charm and demand.

Loki didn't meet thor's confused gaze as the man looked upon his brother and questioned tony. Even still as his mother spoke accusing Hodur of what loki couldnt. As Tony explained what had happened that night he had become pregnant with the twins loki felt more sick than before. Casting a bit of magic on himself to keep from getting more sick. However he was surprised to find that it didn't seem to help at all in fact it made him feel just a bit worse.

Thor looked furious at Tony's explication as to why the parentage was necessary. He had not known that Loki had been attacked the night he had gotten him drunk and then his friends had done the same. Loki had been mad afterwards for tour leaving him alone but he had never known why. Now that he did anger, guilt and shame consumed him turning into fury at Hodur. "You violated my brother?!" Thor bellowed standing.

Hodur looked a bit panicked as both Thor and Frigga turned on him with the midgardian's explanation. "How was I to know I was the father? Loki is claimed to have many partners almost all of them male in a short amount of time. Besides I did not violate the unwilling, no our tryst was quite fun wasn't it loki." Hodur grinned at the god. Often he had threatened Loki’s other children he knew the god would remember that now. "If I am the father then I have the right to demand to know what happened to my children." he continued.

Frigga did nothing to stop Thor from his anger, she had just as much, if not more, but she had to keep it together for Loki. Hearing Hodur demand to know of his children, she let out a small hiss. “Enough!” she snapped, her voice filling the room and bringing utter silence. “You have no right to demand anything at the moment Hodur, you have shamed the royal family, shamed your position and name, and made a mockery of this trial in front of two representatives of Midgard, a realm which we have been trying to open negotiations with. I said this was to be a trial was to focus on the theft of the infinity gauntlet, yet you have refused to focus on this matter.” She said, standing from her throne and staring him down. “Guards….escort Hodur from the hall and ensure he doesn’t return until this trial has concluded.” She said, waving a hand to the guards. Reaching over, she placed a slender hand on Thor’s arm. He’d have his chance soon enough. Waiting for Hodur to exit the room, she looked back to the council. “Now are there others who wish to join Hodur, or shall we continue?”

Loki looked up finally when Frigga called for attention once more demanding silence. Hearing her tell Hodur that he had no right to demand what had happened to the twins. That he had shamed the royal family, his position and his own name. When she ordered the guards to escort the man from the council Loki thought his problems were over for the moment.



"I will not be taken from here, I have done no shame to anyone." Hodur growled. "How was it you killed them Loki? Did you enjoy killing them?!" he yelled before he was dragged from the room. The council shook its head when Frigga asked if anyone else wanted to join him.

As Hodur was escorted from the room, Tony slowly stepped closer to Loki once more, hand finding it’s way to Loki’s shoulder as the door closed. He only touched him long enough to try and offer some comfort to Loki and to reassure himself that the god was alright for the moment.

Frigga watched Hodur leave, frowning darkly at him. Taking a deep breath, she slowly sat once more, smoothing her dress around her. “Now…..I do believe we should return to the purpose of this trial. If the council has any more questions pertaining to the theft of last night, they are invited to ask. If not, I would make a suggestion for prescribed punishment.”
