Light blue inner ears. Visual reference: None Personality: He's a prideful boy. A total mommy's boy; however, he's quick to whine out, "Mooom" when he thinks it's apparent to onlookers. A sweet heart inside, he puts on a tough act and tries to pretend to be surly. It never last, however. He attempts to be serious though is easily influenced into wild and fun schemes. Hal-shikasta is bitter, surly, and wants the world to know that she hates it and everyone in it. She was born into the Jini-misemi in the days of the murderer, Mysmyr. Her mother was killed in the den before Shika and her siblings had even opened their eyes, and grief drove her father mad before he, too, was murdered; she never knew either of them - she and her siblings were raised by her aunt alongside her cousins. Her family are the only ones she has any tolerance - let alone affection - for. When she learned the truth about her parents, suffice to say she...did not take it well. The knowledge has made her angry with the world, and more specifically, at the lions who were in charge at the time - she has a deep-seated hatred towards Narindima'moyo and Piliroho kwa Kwini, and a somewhat tamer contempt for the rest of the royal family.
And yet she chose to return from her pilgrimage anyway, and remains with the pride despite her oft-professed preference for being alone. While she pushes everyone away and refuses to trust anyone, she is also terrified of being completely alone. She interacts with others when she has to, but mostly sticks to the fringes of the pride's territory. Immediately prior to the fire, she argued and very nearly came to blows with Piliroho; afterwards, she received an ultimatum that if she didn't start behaving, she would be exiled. She remains as prickly and unpleasant as ever, but is generally less aggressive than she used to be.

Born a rouge, Amenemsou was mistreated by his parents, whom had no sense of loyalty whatsoever. They were straight up cruel to him. They would laugh at him when he was trying to be serious, and ridicule him for his jokes. It really instilled a serious sense of insecurity so deep he feels that he must work for affection or any type of relationship to work. This is the theory he has developed: “If she's amazing, she won't be easy. If she's easy, she won't be amazing. If she's worth it, you wont give up. If you give up, you're not worthy. ... Truth is, everybody is going to hurt you; you just gotta find the ones worth suffering for.” Amen is self reliant, persistent, and yet codependent at the same time, meaning while he can manage the world on his own, he is better off with someone to lean on. His singular favorite past time is to make others laugh, but not just anyone, he gets particular pleasure out of making those whom are the least likely to respond to him. And as he doesn't thrive off of acceptance, he has no problem persisting until he gets what he wants. His downfall could easily be his devotion, as he has problems realizing when something is a lost cause. Often times this allows the other party to forget their grudge with the world and him time to slip right past their walls. This can take time, and therefore patience (which unfortunately can be in rather short stock), but it usually pays off. Amen tends to have a problem letting go of grudges, if he's not treated well, he will not let you forget it. But if he's treated well, he will never leave your side and never forsake you.

Although, this devotion does come at a price. Farza gets extremely jealous of her siblings and has no qualms trying to start things if she thinks that they're getting a bit too close to their mother. Her father is no exception either. She will gladly push and prod in between the two just to get her mother's attention. That attention may not be good or healthy, but some attention is better than none at all in her eyes.
Even though she is very devoted to her mother, her father and siblings do come close to her heart . Not only is she possessive of them, but she's also very protective. No matter who it may be or how perilous it may seem, Farza has no hesitation going toe to toe with a hoard of gods or spirits if that means keeping her family, especially her mother, safe. And is a bit rash with her decisions as a cub, quick to judge and think through her actions later. With time she may mellow out in this regard. The punishments, when there are any, are worth the hassle to her.
When she laughs, she can't seem to stop. Which she blames her father for. She could be trying to be serious, but one joke may have her rolling on the floor, bellowing with laughter. Farza hates it, finds it humiliating to break down like that, especially in front of her mother. And as soon as she's able to calm herself, she's back to sitting up straight and trying to look as fierce as ever. Afterwards, due to her humiliation, she may get a bit testy.
Once you're on her bad list, man, you tend to be on her bad list for life. She won't let you forget about it. And as soon as someone she hates enters the room? She'll turn her nose up at them. Especially if they hurt her family. Because that's inexcusable to her. In fact, she may try to make that being suffer. She'd go out of her way to steal, spread rumors, and hellish.
Although she loves her family, she does have other passions, albeit, she prefers to keep them secret. Dancing, is one of them. Applying for: Amenemsou x Hal-shikasta Name of SoA: Cub: Askati Adult: Imnioch a Thuill Meaning: Cub: based on a word in Kannada meaning "anxious" Adult: "anxious no longer" in Irish (missing a portion of the word at the end, shortened for appearance and ease of typing) Gender: female Appearance: White base coat like mother. Mane and tail father's colors. Stripes like father, but extended down the hind legs, done in aunt's lighter blue, with tail stripes ending in aunt's two thick stripes in the middle of her tail. Facial marking in the same blue, a combo of aunt's and father's. Nose and toes done in mother's blue. Inner ears white. Eyes should be mother's purple. Visual reference: (Forgive my horrible trackball coloring! Her stripes should not exactly resemble my attempt!!!) Personality: Askati is a nervous, anxious cub. She isn't afraid of noises or scary things. She's afraid of losing the love, affection, and attention of her family, most especially her parents. She is quite sensitive emotionally, picking up on nuances that go on between people. With the tenuous relationship her parents have, being unconsciously intimately aware of their individual emotional issues, she grows up fretting that she will do something that will cause either parent to be angry with her and cast her out of their hearts.
Because of this, she spends much of her cubhood being extremely sweet and trying to do things for her mother and father, attempting to curry their favor and affection. This will NOT result in competition or bitterness towards her siblings, rather a worry that they too may lose their parents' love. Thus she can easily be shoved into the background among so many, because she feels it is important for her siblings to also have the chance to keep their parents' love.
This also means her feelings are easily hurt. Her soft heart is easy to wound, so that she will find a private spot to cry when hurting emotionally. She does her best not to show it to others, but may gain a reputation as a crybaby. Her tears aren't always for herself, however, for the plight of others also touches her deeply.
When she goes on her pilgrimage, however, she will have developed to have a slight resentment towards her parents for putting them through that kind of uncertain emotional atmosphere. This doesn't negate or lessen her love for them, however! She simply will be glad of the chance to escape, to learn new ways to live that hopefully won't involve the feeling that she has to walk on eggshells in order to survive emotionally.
While on pilgrimage, she will indeed learn how to become more self-sufficient, learn that relying too much on how others react is bad for her, and that she must find peace and love within herself before she can rely on giving and receiving it from another. With this discovery, she chooses not to go home, because she knows if she is close to her parents again, she will fall back into her anxious ways and lose her newfound confident self. Pride/pack/etc they will live in: Firekin! Any Requirements: No huria, they all have red/white/black throwbacks so no real chance for rogue colors! List of all Throwbacks: Saharan's: Father, Mother, Sister, Other sister, OTHER Sister, Brother Saoiraed's: Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, Other Brother, OTHER Brother, Other Sister A bit of history about the family: They're both really nice? Momma's a historian, dad's pretty kind for a firekin. None of the family know/will know that Saoi's a watcher. As far as they know he's just a typical soldier. He's basically a kind of spy though, monitoring behavior and incoming rogues, etc. Mom will probably spoil them a bit, it's the family's first litter after trying for a LONG time. <3 Extra: Staff welcome too!

Applying for: Saoiraed x Saharan Name of SoA: Brasa Meaning: Ember Gender: Female Appearance: See reference for color grabs. Mom's base red pelt, nose, and eyes, Dad's toe markings, muzzle marking, and tail fur all in white, a dorsal stripe with CC squareish markings like aunt. Like her aunt the gradient will start where her head meets her neck. The beginning red should be the same color as dad's mane and the ending color should be the same as aunt's yellow. Pawpads should be the same color as her nose. Visual reference: Personality: Mama's girl. Oooooh man is she a mama's girl. She loves her dad, don't get her wrong, but if she gets hurt or is scared she runs to mom. That being said, she's a bit of a rough and tumble girl, enjoying wrestling with her siblings and other cubs. She's always quick to apologize if she does hurt someone in her rough housing though and is great at making others feel better with a few quick words. She loves to make others smile and laugh and, let's face it, sometimes you need a picker upper when your home is the desert. She'll be curious about life outside the pride and might find her way to the outpost where they meet with the Bonelands lions if she finds herself courageous enough to leave mom for such a long time, but she'll always come back home no matter what she ends up doing in the future. Applying for: Saoiraed x Saharan Name of SoA: Shoidan Meaning: "Incendiary" - Japanese Gender: Male Appearance: Black base. White tribal markings like dad's going up his front legs. Deep red (mom's base color) mane. Dad's red toe tips. Eye block like Uncle's in white and dad's red. Grandma's dorsal stripe in white. Dad's red tail fluff. Purple eyes. White ear fluff. Visual Reference:[x] - Ignore the actual content of the leg markings, I just threw something on to give you a general idea of how he would look. Personality: Shoidan has a big personality. Being spoiled as him and his littermates are, it's not surprising that at least one of them would come out rambunctious and a tad bit full-of-themselves. And Shoidan is just that. He isn't shy in the slightest and enjoys the process of meeting others (moreso to introduce himself into their lives, therefore "enriching it" than making new friends, but whatever). He is, therefore, a rather confident fellow, except when it comes to his family. Where his siblings and mother (he knows better than to worry for his father) are concerned Shoidan remains heavily anxious. Although he understands they are all just as smart and capable as he is, he absolutely cannot help feeling protective of them. All he wants for his family (and, well, himself) is the absolute best. As an adult Shoidan will obviously love the fighting aspect of his pride, as it is a way that he can continually assert that he is capable and clearly better than everyone else. And a way to assert his dominance in being able to protect his family. That, too. Any additional requirements that the family has: No huria - he's all natural Firekin colors and won't be leaving the pride~
