The River/Waterfalls

Suyuri listened to the conversation, Krad? Not wanting to get in the way, Suyuri stayed put. Looking at the other wolves who had seemed to lose their interest in what the leader was doing. She sniffed lightly trying to see if they had scents, but shook her head and returned her attention to Malequer and the other wolf.

Malequer was confused over why they would not obey his commands. For a moment, he wished he had Krad's power over these.. souls. Malequer looked around quickly and saw that the wolves were not paying attention to them anymore. He then kept eye contact with the leader and spoke to Suyuri through his mind.
'If you move quickly, you can get past them through the gaps between each wolf' he told her, referring mainly to the rather large gap where a ghost wolf had completely moved closer to a friend to talk.
These minions are pathetic. Krad.. you can do better than this..
If they were to escape, he did not know what to do afterwards.. but he knew eventually the ghosts would give up on following them for they had no interest in them anyway.

Suyuri looked abit startled hearing Malequer's voice, looking at him she looked confused as to why she heard his voice, but his mouth never moved. Shaking the thought from her mind she nodded and looked for the gap in which he spoke of. Seeing it, Suyuri got up, readying herself for a moment only to turn and look back at Malequer, He'll be fine...he's an adult.. then looking back she steadied herself and ran to the gap, making it past the wolves she kept on running, getting some ways away. Suyuri looked back hoping to see Malequer behind her.

Malequer stood his ground, watching Suyuri escape. The wolves began to follow Suyuri under their leader's command and Malequer quickly bolted after them to try and protect her. He ran swiftly, breathing hard as he made his legs race faster. The ghosts fled in different directions as he passed them, yet there was one that was quickly catching up to Suyuri. Malequer ran towards the gliding ghost wolf and leaped into it, unsure of what that would do. He was blinded for a moment, and he stumbled over his own paws and fell to the ground, sliding several feet. When his vision returned to him, he saw that the ghosts had disappeared.
What happened?

Suyuri yelped in surprise at the wolf who followed, ducking down to the ground and closing her eyes. Knowing the wolf was close, but not feeling anything come up and hearing the the silence of steps, she looked up only seeing Malequer. Blinking she quickly looked around, but saw nothing, getting up she slowly walked over to Malequer. Still looking around wondering where the wolves had gone.

Malequer closed his eyes and shook his head a bit as if to clear his thoughts again and to return to his senses. He saw that Suyuri was approaching him and so he got up, his legs a bit weak and trembling from running so fast.
'I think they have gone' he told her, looking again to make sure.
'Come.. we should continue searching for your friend' he added, not wishing to speak much of the ghost wolves. He did not want his tongue to slip and tell Suyuri of Krad and their plans for the world- which actually seem distant now that they had been separated.

Suyuri stopped a few feet away from Malequer and nodding, "Alright.." she said lightly, still scared that the wolves could come again, but shook the thought away as Malequer said they left. Looking abit distant as she tried to gather her buzzing thoughts about what she had heard and who they were, but if Malequer did no want to talk about it then she wouldn't ask. Waiting for Malequer she looked him over, "Are you alright?"

'Hmm?'
Malequer was busy thinking again, and there was a strange pain in his back as well. He attempted to get a glimpse of his back-at the two lines of inscriptions that ran down his back on either side of his spine- though it seemed to be the same and unscathed.
'Oh, yes I am fine. And yourself?' he asked, turning his attention to Suyuri again.

Suyuri sat down lightly, know she would have to move soon. She smiled lightly, "I'm fine..they never touched me.." she comment and watched him intently, now knowing that there was more to him then meets the eye. She was curious about him and what connection he had to the ghost wolves along with the name that continued to pop in and out of her head, Krad..

Malequer smiled, sensing Suyuri's strong curiosity. Perhaps he may decide to tell her more of his story.. but the longer he grows attached to this young mortal wolf and the land, the more he wishes to abandon his past and purpose in the prophecy.

'Are you hungry?' he asked, knowing that Suyuri must be in need of some more strength.

Suyuri got up and moved closer, perking up when she heard his question she wagged her tail, "Alittle.." she answered, making her forget for now some of her thoughts on the ghost wolves and moving onto food, "Are you?" she questioned back, tilting her head slightly.

Malequer shrugged.
He could last many moons without food, in fact.. he had forgotten the last time he had eaten. His legs grew tired, and he assumed he should have a bit to eat as well. He sat, looking down at Suyuri. 'What do you wish to eat?' he asked. He was a rather skilled hunter and would agree to bring her any meal she desired.

Suyuri listened and thought for a moment, sitting down, "A deer?" she asked as her tail tried to wrap around herself like Seilene did, but her tail was too short and stopped half way. She tilted her head trying to agree with herself, then she nodded, "Yea..a deer." she smiled, looking to Malequer.

The end of Malequer's mouth twitched into a slight smile, and he stood up, searching the air for the scent of a deer. Catching a scent, he looked towards its direction and saw that it would lead them into the woods.. somewhere along one of the streams that ran from the river itself.
'Come' he told Suyuri, taking a step forward. 'If we follow this stream, I am sure it would lead us near the area where several deer are resting' he said. 'Perhaps I can show you how to hunt as well' he added, turning around to look at her again.

As clayton chases a grasshopper at the edge of the woods, trying to get a bite to eat, he spots something in the river. He sneaks up closer to find exactly what he needs, a rainbow trout. Without thought, he attempts to pounce on it, and fails. Now he has no fish, nor does he have a bug.
