I'm not sure if I'll end up going this year which sucks since I didn't end up going last year either but at least I'm checking out Beakerhead this week with my siblings. We're taking our cousin who is visiting from Texas with us. It's a smash up of art, science and engineering with a bunch of exhibits, sculptures, interactive displays, events, and workshops in and around out the downtown area (inside and outside). 
Was your Texas cousin affected by Harvey?
Does not really matter but what does matter is that you and siblings should HAVE FUN ALWAYS!

Went with a friend last night to check out a Beakerhead event. It used VR to show what space travel will be like in the future. It was really neat and fun.

I checked out more Beakerhead events yesterday evening/night. Was the only one in our group of 4 to beat the odds at a dice game and get to the top stairs. No special prize though for winning. We all got pins for participating. The fire serpent display was really awesome. I think my cousin really enjoyed it. She thought it was really neat that our city puts on these kinds of festivals to celebrate arts, science, and engineering every year. I'm going to check out the rest of the displays with my sister this afternoon.

Tried a new dumpling place. It was delicious. Wasn't hungry enough to also order their signature giant soup dumpling but I'll go back with my sister to try it next time haha.

I visited my cousin today and got to see my baby cousin too. She's lighter than my dog, and she's incredibly skinny and tall for a baby. Of course, she'll probably get chubbier in the following months.
She's also probably going to wind up towering over me like her father since her limbs are so long.

I love their cute little hands and toes. Yea, my cousins' babies were really small but they got chubby in the months after.
