I know that there is a huge mark up on games and gaming consules. But that is not music related.

This is true, but I know what you mean. I talked to a guy in Harvey Norman and I was surprised at what the buying prices were.

Anyway, I want Scab Dates. ;_;

I am loving just relistening to older albums- like old school Sum 41 and The Offspring.

even tho i am only 16 i was brought up listening to the 70's and 80's most of the time and to me that has been the best era for music ever in australian history the 70's and 80's rock the world.

To be honest. Australian Classic rock has it moments, but if you really want some good classic rock- there is fours names that you MUST know.

They are:

THE WHO

KISS

THE RAMONES

THE ROLLING STONES

From there, you then go to The Animals, The Troggs, The Turtles and other such bands from the 60s.

I hate the Ramones oh so very much. I practically hat anything that was associated as or with Punk in the 70's and 80's.

Classic rock in my mind is a tad different as I grew up with Prog Rock, but myeah.

Me too sad I guess I'll probably have to wait till I visit a JB though, and if they don't have a copy then I'll have to bite the bullet and order one from the scary people at the only half decent music shop in town.

I've got my own scab date coming up though. 2nd of Feb. *Splodes*

As for the classic rock stuff, what about The Doors? They were pretty bloody fantastic. When I was little I really liked their song Riders on the Storm, because I thought it was about some scary horse guy... but then recently someone informed me that they probably meant motorbikes sad Sad times.

There's a copy at our local store, and there were a few at the Bundall JB I went to.
I was tempted to buy it, I think I actually had a dream about listening to it.

The Doors were good. I prefer a bit of Pink Floyd and Jethro Tull myself, but then again that's me.

Yeah, Pink Floyd are pretty awesome. Their video clips are fantastic too.

Eth, you're going all the way to Melbourne to see Greenday? sad
I enjoyed their first album, then after that it's been a long, slow road down hill into sell-outdom.

I think I've only seen one. I want to see The Wall. I think it'd be a real trendy movie.

It's like swell, real epitomising of an era. God I hate that word.
Anyway, I might buy it when we go to JB in Melways, they have it relatively cheap.
