Falthor: Tale of the Twin Shadows

He watched the great samurai general get pulled backwards off of his horse."NOW!" Ace shouted to Prowler. Prowler stood atop the house, firing madly. Ace dashed forward with speed not his own. He lashed out at several Koga, killing them mercilessly. The dragoons had retreated farther back because of their lack of armor. Ace ran at a group of the elite guard, dropping the earth out from beneath them. He quickly filled the makeshift pit with water. Their armor and weapons were too heavy, and the pit too deep. They drowned slowly.

Ace could feel the rain of gunfire continuing from behind him. There was almost no break in-between Prowler's shots. Ace shot a wave of fire out at the line of elite guard, burning up the bows that they carried. A few flames reached the dragoons, and a few of their rifles exploded, killing a couple of them. Their weapons are also flammable...I'll have to use this to my advantage.

((The grenade was to stop the iga and their ability to shadow jump. Now all of the elite guard have moved to different locations.))

The sudden drop of ground was not expected and a few men fell to the bottom. they tried as they could to jump out with their agility but two got stuck and drowned. they others caught a hold with their swords and weapons before falling in and where back on their feet. The bows where hot and a little bit damaged but because of their armor and special equipped things they where ready for any elemental attack. This was expected because they where trained well for this kind of warfare. the Emperor knew the ninjas well.

Joa Boo noted where the attack came form and would be sure to hit him with a large blade, something sinister. he also made sure he knew where he left Salfos.

This could get good. I hope things become very trying.  

[Zero Salfos]

((thats why you dont make a numbered unit unprotected. there are strong characters running around.you can have the cannons come. for everyone there are regular soldiers drew didnt mention that they were there they were suppose to be a given so dont kill many elite guard kill more peasant soldiers.)) Salfos regrouped with ace. he slayed a soldier with absolute easy. watching some of his kin fall from the stunning of the grenades. he attempted to surrond a grenade with a dark shadowy orb to see if he could block it but failed. the most he could do was BARELY!!(have to empahsis words so ppl look at them)) reduce its effectiveness((as he made it a little weaker but it still works blinding and pushing shadows out for a while.)) this new grenade kept pushing the iga to the outside of the guards range. "Ace we have to regroup with the others!" as a soldier charged him he ducked under the blow and with his off hand slashed at the soldier's stomach letting him fall.

((yes good point...I have failed to mention that there are limited Elite Guard and because of this I have been specifically and in great detail describing their actions. There are on the other hand regular Falthor soldiers with just plain swords and whatever armor they can find.))

The main blunt of the sword came in. Wave after wave of the simple folk flooded into the midst with their blades drawn near and slashing madly with no control. They where Falthor's most basic unit and by that meaning useless in battle but numbers. At this point that’s all they where, pure numbers sweeping into the battle area and pushing to whatever land they can hold to.

Salfos saw the incoming wave of peasants. he started to feel bad for them, since they were no match. but it was either him or them and today wasnt the day he was going to die. he split the right end of Shadowseeker into five and threw the multiple ends, decapitating the peasants he let there headless bodies convulse to the ground and squirting blood on the ground. he kept the heads in balance on the sickles and flung the five heads into the crowds hoping to raise moral or demoralize our enemy. he saw guard come up and he parried the heavy sword attack and quicked-stepped behind the guard and kicked him sending him into a hut wall. the guard fell through. dashing to another soldier salfos jumped over and disarmed him taking his head and twisting his head around so the cracking noise was unmanagable to the watching. Salfos also threw a shuriken into a soldier who manage to have a slash come across Salfos' arm. he took a quick look at it. the blade didnt go deep enough to do any major damage. he could manage the pain. Fenrir was tiring the iga master out. she was about to run out of time before fenrir took her life.

Isao took a deep breath and made a thick barrier around salfos. she concentrated on keeping all the barriers up, from the safety of the tree she sat in she manipulated and repaired all her shields. she was happy to be helping.

((lol..ha...there is no safety in the trees.))

Noaur Boo targeted a young girl among the trees and motioned his forces to move in that direction. They did this in a quite simple step by cutting around in a long ark and others stopped to time their attack and would catch up to attack from the other side. All of this was done quickly and with little sound.

The regular soldier moved through the battle field, taking casualties everywhere but fighting on for their lives. they didn't understand at all what the Elite Guard where doing but relied on them completely to be successful.

Isao watched her friends carefully keepign them safe other than herself. her eyes were glowing a strict purple to the amount of energy it took to hold up such strong shields. She sighed but kept them up in hopes it would help. it never once crossed her mind that she would need a shield.

Peter started sweating as he parried another blow from one of the remianing ninja. "Damn die you quickly, have no patience nor time do I" Peter yelled finally successfully countering the ninja's attack and sending his rapier into the ninja's gut. "Die" He yelled as the ninja fell to the ground.

Peter looked at the chaos that was all aroudn him, he could no longer see if any of his Dragoons where a live or not and his horse were all dead or ran off. "Damn these ninja and their tricks, traps, shot dodging. What is this odd happenings (reffering to all the magic)! This is not war this is madness."

Another ninja came up on Peter and threw two shruikens** at Peter. One missed but the other sliced across his arm tearing into it a little, "Damn what would give I for some of that armor." Peter moaned as he grasped the wound with his other arm and drew one of his pistols with the wounded one. The ninja came running at Peter with his sword raised above his head and Peter shot him straight into the stomach and knocked him off his feet onto the ground to die. Peter spat on his corpse as he walked on.

Noaur Boo slid in quickly with the force of a stampeding herd and branded what he could with the clip of his sword being swiftly brushed along any clean flesh it could make contact with. The other 5 or 6 men following him did the same in different target parts of Isao's body as the other side appeared with another wave of 6 men doing just the same. It was a quick and lethal maneuver and could result in many mortal wounds if not carefully blocked.

"Peter I would advise you to bring yourself among our unit. Find shelter in our unity and be brave with your magic bow. I recall you had some bigger guns, as you call them, near the port. Call them to us and we shall blow holes into the very morale of these ninja.” Joa Boo said in a fit to protect his new friend. The loss of his men hurt him but the fever of war clouded this weakness and he frenzied in result, adding another four ninja’s to the death count.

By this time a few Elite Guard had fallen to death’s grip and the number would continue to grow. The Elite Guard where holding up in the different formations well as phase two took course. Joa Boo and Foo Tong slowly moved their force and defensive stance up the hill and into the deeper reach of the forests that lay on the edge of the forest line. Just on the other side was the fields and past that the ninja villages. The Elite Guard where able to hold quite a strong struggle together in the circular staggered formation with rotating counter clockwise to change up the view. As Foo Tong and his 12 men, they moved along side someone from Joa Boo’s core group and defended as a second hand and shield. It was clear that Joa Boo and his men where much more skilled in fighting and this only escalated when fighting together.

Joa Boo would bend at the knees and pushing his weight to one side would tilt his body with his pike pointed outward in the direction of his tilt. As two other Elite Guards ran up on both sides of him, one would start into a roll and would swing his pike in a circular motion over the wielders head like a helicopter. Then Joa Boo would start into a roll once there was enough space and as he dove the guard member left would vault off of the force created form Joa boo rolling and toss that man over the enemies as Joa Boo spun his blades over him again like a helicopter. These difficult fighting maneuvers are what gave the Elite Guard such an edge and proved useful against the tricky and skilled fighting ninjas.

The peasants were nothing. Ace cleaved through them like tissue paper. They were no match, even with their sheer numbers. A strategic general doesn't just send in men to die for no reason, he's got to have some kind of plan. He looked around and noticed the trees in the distance rustling. He saw Isao standing on one of the tree limbs. He saw a flash of steel behind her. s**t. He sprinted as fast as he could towards the trees. Unfortunately, a massive crowd of peasants stood between him and the forest.

I'll have to make this quick. He ran at them at full force and jumped into the air. He sprayed the ground with fire, ending the lives of tons of the feeble warriors. As he landed, he stabbed his sword in the ground, sending the earth around him out in huge chunks. It created a waterless moat around Ace. The large chunks of earth crashed into hundreds of men. Ace pulled his sword out of the ground and began running again, flipping over the makeshift moat.

He was a few steps from the base of the forest when he saw Noaur Boo attack Isao. There was little he could do, but if he didn't act fast, Isao wouldn't be alive much longer. She was far outnumbered, and the elite guard were fine warriors. s**t....this is suicide. Ace reached the base of the forest and quickly scaled the trees to the top, jumping from tree trunk to tree trunk. He reached the top, coming behind a member of the elite guard. The guard's sword was raised, ready to strike Isao. Before he realized what happened, Ace had run up behind him, careful not to lose his balance, and stabbed Excalibur through his heart.

One down.

Within half a second, the rest of the group had dismissed Isao, already causing severe wounds to her and turned on Ace, attacking together and alarmingly fast. Ace, who loved fighting aeirilly, danced from limb to limb, dodging and parrying blows left and right. He was constantly moving, making sure that the elite guard couldn't surround him. He landed on a tree limb, and as he jumped off, Ace tossed a fireball at a guard that had taken his place, in hot pursuit of him. The guard laughed, his armor blocking the elemental energy. What he didn't realize, was that the fire burnt the edge of the limb he was standing on. The combination of the weight of the guard and the fire weakening the limb caused the limb to break from the tree when the guard tried to jump from it. He lost his balance and fell to the ground. He hit the ground with a thud.

Noaur Boo watched his soldier fall to the ground. Irritated by the fact that one man was giving them so much trouble, he ran ran forward in front of his group of men. ((You can take it from there Drew, and if you don't like how I set this up, I'll change it.))

((No I like it...it possesses all of the aspects a fight like that could of turned out.))

Noaur Boo gave a grunt of discomfort. He looked hastily to his sides and with the other 8 left targeted his victim and moved in, using his speed as one of the finest to advance and not attack the enemy but heard him. The other eight did this after his command after Noaur Boo waited to see it developed it's character. The men came from all sides and moved in a distinctive nature that attacked by forcing you to dodge of move to the left. They where pushing you to a corner of the trees where it ended abruptly and another group of Elite Guard waited.

Attack after attack, they continued to push you. One or two deaths accumulated but a noble loss for the big picture.
