Erika waved to Reno as he left, hoping him the best in his next challenge, and that they would cross paths once again.

Disappearing in a flash of Teleport, Reno was now outside of the Fuschia City......Safari Zone, on the wrong side of the fence. His sudden appearance would startle the Dragonaire near him and make it respond by flinging him into the general direction of Fuschia City with it's tail. Skittering across the pavement to the front door of the Gym, he soon saw what appeared to be a more rustic looking house. Reaching for the door, Reno froze before respectfully removing his shoes and leaving them on the small little wood porch thing he was currently standing on. Slowly entering the Gym, Reno peered around to see what might pop up to confront him.

Reaching for the door, Reno froze before respectfully removing his shoes and leaving them on the small little wood porch thing he was currently standing on. Slowly entering the Gym, Reno peered around to see what might pop up to confront him. Reno was right to be cautious, especially upon entering this particularly gym. As Should Reno continue forward, he would find himself suddenly slamming into what seemed to be nothing, something completely invisible. It was a wall. Should he feel around, he would find that it was more than just a wall, but a box, which sealed him off from the rest of the gym and kept him at the front door. A scroll was on the ground however, it read: Quote: The unseen blocks the way. Use your other senses. The right way is right.

Reading the scroll at his feet and cursing his own lack of the psychic sense he might be able to possess, Reno simply shut his eyes, snapped his nights stick out and began to tap the ground to hear the echoes off the walls and decided to try right like he seemed to hear. Continuing with his tapping and following the lack of sudden echo, Reno hoped to find some place where he could open his eyes.

Continuing with his tapping and following the lack of sudden echo, Reno hoped to find some place where he could open his eyes. Reno would take the right path, as he might have guessed, considering that he hadn't run into a wall by now. However, it wasn't just the invisible maze he had to worry about, there were also traps, as he would discover. A thread was strung across the hall before him, incredibly thin and close to the ground, making it difficult to see. Reno would soon trip over the wire before him, and if he didn't trip of that, there was what seemed like a spider thread hanging from the ceiling right after it, which wasn't as hard to see but if he was focusing on the ground, or kept his eyes close, he would run into it and get attacked by the predator above. An Ariados. (So sorry for forgetting this.)

In typical fashion, Reno cracked an eye open to see the spider thread ahead of him. He had been reminiscing with the idea of using his old staff to navigate this place, even as he simply snapped his fingers and channeled his Serene Senses for locating the walls. Crouching low in preparation to avoid tge spider line, he prepared to simply evade this trap. Walking forward, the slight gleam of the line at the ground only caught his attention as his foot made contact and his upper body flew forward, naturally assuming a roll from the multiple falls he had experienced throughout his career in Snagem. Narrowly avoiding the spider web, a vengeful look crossed Reno's face as ignited a match, setting the thread ablaze as he walked on with his finger snapping.

Reno would only hear the faint sound of the spider squealing in fright as the flames came up its thread, however the Ariados would not pursue. That said, Reno had not completely avoided the trap. While that line he touched seemed to only be intended to trip him into the spider's trap, it actually served the purpose of alerting something else further ahead.
As Reno progressed ahead he would be given three choices to proceed as the maze splintered off. There was the left, center, and right corridors he could take. Which one would Reno choose?

Reno stared at his new conundrum before closing his eyes and attempting to examine the area with his enhanced senses. Blinking his eyes as he found no such help to him, the red haired rogue suddenly sprinted to the left, letting the echo of his feet guide him as the dead sprint would hopefully allow Reno to evade or only take a glancing blow from the trap.

As Reno traveled down the corridor all would seem to be fine. There would be no warning however of what would happen next. Reno would come to a dead end, a hall blocking his way forward. It was as if the maze knew of his location as a wall shot up behind him, boxing him in. Panels in walls would then begin to open up all around him as Koffing floated in, five in all. The panels would then close fast and the Koffing would begin to orbit around him as they released their natural poisonous gasses into the concealed room. A scroll would drop from the ceiling which read. Scroll Slow death floats time is short. Defeat for air.

Reno watched as the Koffing appeared, the overwhelming odor quickly disabling Serene Senses due to simple sensory overload. Coughing as the gases quickly overtook the small room, the psychic channeler got the craziest idea for guaranteeing his escape. Pushing up against the wall that had dropped down, Reno reached into his pocket and threw down a Pokeball before lighting another match, the released Pokemon quickly wrapping around the majority of Reno's crouching body to allow them a chance to survive. A Cloyster that had WIthdrawn around Reno would hopefully offer the necessary protection to use the explosion to fly through that hall to the other side.

The match, as expected, would trigger the an explosive reaction in the Koffing as the fumes were lit a blaze. There were only seconds for Reno to take cover before the Koffing went boom, and perhaps he wouldn't escape completely unharmed, either way, Cloyster wouldn't make it out in its best of health after taking the five explosions, which would send Reno and it flying down the hallway as the wall behind them opened up the moment the Koffing went boom.
Once Reno ended his flight he would find himself at yet another crossroads, this time it was simply two different corridors, left and right. Time to test his luck again.

Coming out of his cocoon of safety, Reno found soreness throughout his body and his shoe on fire. Quickly stomping out the flames and looking to Tesei to see Tesei slowly stirring and hopping towards the branch in the road that was now obvious. Staring once again at this odd bend in the road, Reno decided hanging a second left could not end any worse than the last one. Looking to Tesei again as they marched on, he hoped that this wouldn't end too badly.

Reno would find himself in an empty room at the end of the path he took, the doorway behind him sealing shut fast. However, it didn't appear to be trap this time, at least not yet. There was a single scroll on the wall in front of him, rolled out as it hung there. The scroll said: Scroll The master awaits ahead. Eyes to see at night, despite that which I crave is scarce. My dance could mean death for those near me, breath deep. I used to be bound to the land, but now more. What am I?

Reno would stare at the scroll for a minute before tapping a small book in his pocket, trying to remember what exactly in it's chapters this reminded him of. Thinking of Nova and her own scales fluttering off in flight to cause fires, the answer suddenly came to the red haired man. Facepalming over the sheer blatant obviousness of it due to the theme of the Gym, Reno walked closer to the scroll before taking a deep breath. "IT'S A BLOODY ARCEUS DAMNED VENOMOTH, YOU CREATIVELY DEFICIENT NINJA!! WORK ON YOUR RIDDLES AND DON'T MAKE THEM ABOUT A POKEMON YOU ARE ALMOST FAMOUS FOR USING AND THIS MIGHT BE A CHALLENGE!!" THE bellow that erupted from Reno sent the scroll fluttering away slightly as the psychic channeler gave his concentrated bit of ranting and raving directly to the riddle in question, hoping the echo would carry like he hoped it would.

"It's simply to weed out the young bloods that rush into my gym unprepared." A voice rang out as the walls around Reno seemed to just disappear. The trainer would now find himself standing in a traditional Japanese style room, complete with tatami mat flooring, however a standard battlefield design was painted on the floor. Standing on the other side of the room was a girl dressed in a purple ninja outfit, arms folded as she glared at Reno.
"I am Janine, daughter of the great Elite Four member, Koga. I have inherited the title of 'The Poisonous Ninja Master' from my father, and I will not allow shame to be brought upon it nor this gym! Trainer, you have braved my challenges, are you prepared for the greatest one yet?" She asked Reno as she threw a smoke bomb down, kicking up a pitch black cloud of smoke.
Once the smoke settled, Janine could be seen clinging to the ceiling, upside down above a Ariados, which was on the ground, ready for battle.
