Nah, it's okay at least you could visit your homeland once more, who knows maybe this is your last time to visit your land and regarding your side-trip to Japan I think it's nearly impossible since you said your parents hate everything Japanese. Good luck anyway

I almost got to Japan once, we would be there only for a couple of hours (it was a trip back to China). It was only to switch planes, but hen out travel plan changed so we (my family) didn't get to japan...
