Gaz nodded and sat down with others "A-are you sure it will work?"

"And this is Rose, she's a demon; Sicily is a pixie-vampire cross; and my name's Linnea, I'm a phoenix."

Gaz nodded

"I know it works with me, I haven't taught a vampire before, so I don't know." She carefully taught Gaz how to open her mind to magic, and push away the ghosts with a 'wall' (best way I can describe it). It seemed to be working. "Ok Gaz, try to take off the blindfold now, but don't worry, I'm right here."

Gaz's hands shook as she slowly untied her white blind fold. Once it was off she winced and tried to get her grey eyes to adjust to the sun.

''Right, there is black magic too, harder to teach, but works when everything is still. So you don't have to see them or hear them.'' Rose noted.

Gaz blinked at the brilliant greens that surrounded her in the forest. "whoa..." she mummbled

Linnea smiled in sympathy for what Gaz was feeling. It certainly was dizzying seeing the world for the first time, in a long time - she knew from experience.

Rose sat quietly and looked at her.

Sensing Rose's stare, Linnea looked curiously back.

Gaz kept blinking, she couldn't believe it. "They're....they're not here....." she mummbled her eyes wide in amazement.

"So what were 'they' exactly?" Linnea didn't have any magic, so she hadn't been able to sense anything except that Gaz had been severely distressed.

"sorry," she murmerd "I forgot to tell you...I can see ghosts and comunicate with them." She said not really paying attention, still focused on her surroundings.

"Wow. Didn't someone write a book about that before? That is so cool!" Linnea enthused.

Rose smiled then sprawled out under the tree, and closed her eyes.
