You can use your sim's inventory in TS2 to effectively keep leftovers. I never thought about doing that, but will from now on because it's a lot faster.

There is no midnight in any Sims game for PC. It goes from 11:59 straight to 12:01 every time.
Can't vouch for PS2 or GC or anything since I never was too into those.

In Sims 3 when you change the colors of a guitar, there's four color options. Front panel, back panel, side, and strings.
I was amazed when my blue guitar's strings suddenly turned orange in my attempts to figure out wtf that color panel changed XD

I didn't know that when you select the roof that has the slope AND the flat surface on top (I forget what it's called), the flat surface counts as a floor.

I found that out when I tried to create a town hall inTS2.

It had a foundation, 2 floors, and then the roof with flat surface. I couldn't create the tiny building on top like I wanted, cause the foundation AND roof counted as floors. crying

I didn't know you could get FIRED from your job. >.< Both of my sims lost their job in the SAME day.

One, I wasn't working on their skills, and I guess if you don't improve in a certain amount of time, they let you go. And the other one accepted a 2k check from a client. (she didn't steal it or anything, just accepted the check!)

So lame.

I didn't know that sometimes, when the kitchen catches fire and the baby's crib is in the kitchen (with the baby in it) a parent will grab their baby and run out of the house.

Playing Sims 3 last night, my couple went to the hospital and had triplets. @_@; Well, the dad was already carrying their toddler, so the mom walks out holding a baby carseat with the triplets inside, lol.
