Vetis looked at him with a confused expression but shrugged. Hell he got away with it so no need to complain. "Alright awesome well I'm going to be outside getting some fresh air." He stood up and headed for the door with no care in the world now. Luckily for the two of them Eliza really was in a deed sleep but if she was awake he knew that Nix would be getting his a** whipped with that he said.

"Oculi, Rex coelestis. Quaeso custodire animam pueri mundi. Sta in corde spem et vulnus et dare manes," Nix chanted a spell over Eliza unconcious body. The spell was one of the things that branded him as a phoenix, but it wouldn't work immediately. There was also the requirement of a city sized magic cirle and several relics to complete the process, but the overall technique would be for the best. He decided he wanted her to leave for life not for death.

Vetis sat outside yawning but enjoying the nice fresh air. He laid down on the grass and stared up at the sky filled with billions of stars. He let out a long soft sigh and wondered what the future would be like and what was out there waiting for them.

"Heya, Ve-chan," Nix said as he walked outside and sat down next to Vetis, placing a hot towel on the young boy's face. Phoenix was smirking as he said, "If you could go to the real world...What would you do?"

Vetis took the towel off and looked over at Nix, "I don't know...what is the real world like? What kinds of things are out there?"

"For me...despite my negative experiences...I'd have to say there were a lot of things you could enjoy," Nix looked up into the deep sky and allowed a subtle smile to spread onto his face. He shifted his line of sight toward Vetis, "There were plenty of things...games, amusement parks, movies, travelling, and many more things to enjoy."

Vetis looked back at the sky and muttered, "Well that sounds nice...I guess if I could go to the real world I would do all that fun stuff."

"I can only wish," Vetis muttered with a small smile forming on his lips. He glanced over at Nix, "So what do you plan on doing when this is all over? I'm sure you wouldn't want to hang around with a kid or his quote on quote mother."

"Why not? You're my 'son' and she's your 'mom', and so, that makes a family regardless of what happens," Nix said without much worry and gave Vetis a smile, "Because in the end, blood doesn't make a family, the heart does."

Vetis looked at him and smiled slightly, "Yeah I suppose your right...but there is a problem..I'm simply a program... i can't go to the real world with the rest of you." He sighed and stared back at the sky.

When Loren died, he used more data to recreate himself than he used his original soul, and then he used a corrupted program to complete the process," Nix said, making gestures with his hands to help with his explanations, "Other than my heart, I'm nearly a solid program...and if you count the nearly compressed viral program from both Loren and the dark mirror...I've loss a lot of my humanity. However, even if I am no longer qualified as human, that won't stop me from chasing my goals. So, I don't want you and Eliza to give up either."

"But the fact that you were sucked into this game and you were fully human then...you'll be able to return back to normal once this is over. That and you still have some humanity in you while i have nothing." Vetis muttered as he glanced over at Nix then back at the sky.

"Hmph, the fact that you can think that way means you're human," Phoenix said as he flopped on to the ground and ruffled Vetis's hair, "Even if you claim you didn't, some of me exists in you and that makes you the sun of a human. Even if the game rejects your exit, I'll force it to accept, including giving up my place in the real world and giving you my human body as your own."
