Be an example to your men,
in your duty and in private life. Never spare yourself,
and let the troops see that you don't in your endurance
of fatigue and privation.

I don't know if this is "nooby" enough for this thread, but it's not worth making another thread about.

Anyway I was watching this commercial for gamefly. It starts out with an American paratroop jumping out of an airplane and ordering a game off of game fly.

1. The American paratroop was carrying a German MP40.

2. The MP40 gives me the impression he's fighting in WWII, but rather than a circular parachute like in WWII he is using a more rectangular parachute.

Always be tactful and well-mannered and teach your
subordinates to do the same. Avoid excessive
sharpness or harshness of voice, which usually
indicates the man who has shortcomings of his own to hide.

It was probably for MoH Airborne. In MoH Airborne you get to choose what weapon you start with, so that explains the MP40. As far as the rectangular chute, well, its rectangular chutes are a lot safer than the big circle ones, a lot more control.

I thought so, too. And weren't the Germans issued snow uniforms more often than Allied forces?

Well, from what I've heard on the Band of Brothers, for a while the allies didn't get proper winter uniforms.

Considering I don't know German helmets from WWII aside from the infantry helmets that could be why I thought he was American. My mistake.

Well his uniform is way different than anything that I've ever seen.

Well it really doesn't look like an American one. Just google image Fallschirmjaeger helmet and you'll notice the difference.

I do believe I feel an angry letter writing fit coming on.

"Hasbro what, you don't know the difference between a bazooka and a rocket-propelled grenade?!"

... I will never look at Hasbro the same way again.

Props to the Indiana Jones movie for using the RPG2.
I also noticed that in one scene they switched from using actual Russian Tokarevs to a Romanian one.

Also, not sure if any of you have looked at models too much

The "WWII" stamp on the bottom right always bothered me.
